Andy Musser listened to our ideas, used his plant knowledge and design skills to come up with a plan that fit all of our needs. They stayed in communication with us every step of the way so that we knew what work was being done and why. Our project involved a planting on a hill beside our ingound pool and the crew managed to keep our pool area clean during the project which was not an easy task I'm sure. Even after the project was complete Andy checked in with us to make sure we understood what we needed to do to take care of the plantings. Of all the contractors involved in our pool project, concrete, fencing, pool installers, etc., Musser Landscaping was by far the most professional and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!

Musser Landscaping LLC (located in Columbia) came out to provide an estimate on our $10-15,000…read morebackyard project. From talking with Andy (the owner), they sounded like they might charge more than other options, but we agreed to have them create an estimate for the project (leveling land, retaining wall, patio fix-up). Andy said they were busy and it would take 2 weeks to complete an estimate. Both of the other companies we had out provided estimates in 6-7 days. After the other two estimates came in, we sent a polite email asking Andy if there were any chance it would be completed in less than 2 weeks. Andy responded late Friday, essentially saying.. these things take time, please don't rush me. First thing Monday morning, I received the email and replied, saying that we understand and that we will patiently wait for the estimate. Well, the 2 weeks deadline comes and goes on Thursday. I assume we will hear back Friday. On Friday evening, still nothing - I email asking when to expect it, and Andy replies that he stopped working on it a week ago, saying "At this point I have little interest in doing the project." -- Of course, he never contacted us to tell us he abandoned the project. We waited all week for him to follow through on his promise, and he didn't even have the courtesy to call or email. This struck me as VERY unprofessional. Add to that the fact that 2 different times we had a meeting set up to get the original estimate and he ended up postponing it the day before because other things came up. Andy comes across as a nice guy, but in the end, he was simply disorganized and he kept us waiting for 2 weeks, yet completely failed to deliver on his promise to provide any sort of estimate. As stated before, I got the impression that their estimate was going to be the most expensive of the three, but obviously I have no evidence of this, or how adequate their work is, since he gave up on the project without informing the client. Based on our experience, we would never recommend Musser Landscaping. There are so many companies out there for landscaping/hardscaping. If you are looking for a company in the area, perhaps contact Knutsen's in Conestoga or Twin Oaks in Lititz- both provided us with great service and timely responses. Best of luck!
