Do not use this catering company. This is the first Yelp review I've ever written. And its a long one but so many things went wrong... Its been a few months since I used their service but I am still so angry about everything that went horribly wrong. I own a game store that was hosting a big fancy event. I have used many caterers and food trucks for various events and have never experienced such a lack of professionalism. We run 2 locations and host events several days a week so I have a lot of experience with this sort of thing. I had been communicating with the owner (Kristina) for several months about what we needed for our event. The event was for 2 separate days back to back for 25 people each day. After many email threads and phone conversations confirming exactly what was needed and was paid for well in advance, she requested we pick up our food as she could not deliver it. My employee arrived to pick up our food at a different event they were catering for and they were met by Kristina's very stressed out employees who informed my employee that they only had a quarter of the food we ordered and that they would have to substitute our vegetarian option for a ground beef chili that they had been serving at their other event. The employees of Kristina were mortified and so apologetic. They said they weren't going to charge us extra for the chili (which was a relief since I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR THE FOOD I ORDERED AND DIDNT GET) Her employees also informed us in that moment that Kristina had no-call, no-showed this event they were supposed to be running. She also was not answering anybody's calls all day long. My employee had to rush order a vegetarian option for 12 people from Olive Garden moments before the start of our event, greatly bringing up the cost for my company for this event. About an hour before my event on day 2 she called me and said she wanted to charge me for the chili and that if I wanted any food for my second event I would have to pay her a second time. I broke in that moment. I was so mad. I explained very clearly that I had already paid her for the food I had ordered. They did not have the food I had ordered. It was very clear in every message to and from her EXACTLY what I needed from the very beginning and I still don't understand why she thought I owed her more money. She refused to give me my food for my day 2 and I had to make the food myself with all this additional stress of this huge event already looming over me. She was so mean to me.. I understand that I was frustrated but she was yelling at me and practically threatening me. Also, the food we DID get from her for our first day was stone cold. It was a breaded chicken and it was soggy breading and cold-cold. Just save yourself the trouble and pick a different catering company. read more

1st time ordering from Fresh Cut for a work meeting, and I will definitely order from them again! They arrived 10 minutes early (3rd party delivery) driver was friendly and very helpful. Everything was packaged perfect so there was very little work on my part. Each individual dish was labeled very clearly what it was and I loved their labeling I ordered 1 vegetarian dish (Tuscan cheese tortellini) which looked delicious and disappeared quickly. Everyone really enjoyed the spices in their Carne Con Chili (pork) w/Spanish rice. Some liked the oven baked apricot glazed chicken breast and some thought it was a little too bland. I ordered 3 different platters: 1 cheese/crackers, 1 crudite (this one really needed tongs but I had some here) and 1 raspberry glazed fudge brownie (which were super delicious )! Hired fresh cuts catering for our wedding in June. The tasting was absolutely incredible, some of the best chicken and steak we've ever had. Had a meeting with them 2 weeks before the wedding to go over everything about the details and we were so excited about the food. Day of the wedding, I specifically asked for passed champagne while guest arrived. They poured it and left it out instead of handing it to guest, so guest were confused if they can grab it or if it was for decoration. They left the champagne in the hot sun and bugs swarmed the champagne and had to be tossed out. Lost almost $200 in champagne. For the dinner service, we had buffet style, dinner took almost an hour for all of our guest to be served and our DJ had to stop calling tables because of how long the line was. We specifically paid for both chicken and steak, they ran out of steak only 6 tables in. Then they started only serving two small pieces of chicken. When our pregnant guest asked for more, they said no. They stated we would have leftovers, they barely had enough food to feed all guest (we provided an exact headcount and also paid for additional vendor meals including theirs). As for the quality of the food, it was nothing like the tasting. The chicken and steak were so dry and cut in such small pieces, I didn't even want to eat it. We got a side of potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes were good but the asparagus was so thin and wilted, I didn't even eat that. We paid additional for coffee to be served for the guest, they put the coffee in the garage and not even by the cake so guest didn't even know it was there. We of course didn't find out about any of this until we came back from the honeymoon. They happily took our money and 20% gratuity without being honest about running out of food. When confronted, they said "we've never seen guest eat so much! But it's not our servers fault, they serve accurate portions. We ran out of food because your guest ate so much!" Doesn't make sense at all and our guest weren't even able to go for seconds. We asked for a gratuity back (which was almost $1,000) and they just sent us $200. Doesn't even cover the cost of the champagne wasted and steak never served. They will put on a great front but when it comes to service on your special day, would highly not recommend. I wish we would have read the other terrible reviews on here before we booked this company for our wedding because clearly it's not their first time ruining a wedding dinner. read more

Customer service was great. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the food. The beans and rice tasted BLAND and the chicken enchiladas were DRY & tasteless. Hard to say if this was partially our fault for not tasting the food but come on...this just wasnt acceptable. Also, we had tea and lemonade served as refreshments but were disappointed to find out that the tea being served was Arizona tea & the lemonade was First Street brand lemonade... really?!?! The roasted pig, teriyaki chicken, fried rice, cooked veg medley, garden salad and fruit salad were so delicious and the presentation was AMAZING! Its rare the haupia (Hawaiian coconut jello) is prepared correctly, but i requested to add it to the menu anyways. This island coconut dessert was made to perfection! The 200 guests were served promptly and everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, the expectations my husband and I had for Fresh Cut Catering for our wedding this November fell short. 1. The food from the taste test tasted completely different from the food at the wedding. We ordered lemon herb chicken and it was so DRY at the wedding, multiple guests could not even finish it. We asked for rice pilaf and pineapple fried rice. The rice was neither of the 2 and looked like mashed potatoes. 2. Kristina and Sheena miscalculated the amount food served for my guests. The total amount of guests given beforehand was 175. I had at least 10-15 guests not show up. Out of 18 tables, starting from table 10 to 18, they ran out of the mahi-mahi. For the last 3-4 tables, they were completely out of mahi-mahi and the chicken. The last few tables literally were served salad and rice. If my grandmother didn't notice and tell my parents what was going on (because as the bride I was completely pre-occupied listening to speeches/toasts) this issue wouldn't have even been attempted to be resolved. My mom looked for Kristina who was hiding in the kitchen and asked for Sheena in regards to what their plan was to feed the rest of the guests. If my mom did not go up to Sheena, I don't know if my guests would have even been served a full meal. An hour later everyone else had been served their food, the last few tables were served chicken that I was told was probably EL POLLO LOCO. And to be honest, that chicken was probably better than the chicken that Fresh Cut Catering delivered on that night. 3. Kristina and Sheena told my husband and I that they have enough food for seconds, as well as pack up food at the end of the night that are leftovers. Are you kidding me? There wasn't even enough food to go around for the guests. And they had the audacity to blame their servers for serving different amounts of food. My mom was literally served TWO slivers of chicken... This was such an embarrassment to me, my husband, and my family. I really trusted these girls deliver on the food that we had tried at the taste test. I couldn't believe that they ran out of food and weren't even pro-active about the situation. By the time table 10 ran out of fish, they didn't even try to figure that out. By the time all the protein was gone they didn't do anything either until my mom started asking questions. To think that they could have left without even serving the rest of the guests and taking payment in full just baffles me. No amount of sorry's or money will fix this problem. I really feel as if they ruined my wedding night because all I heard were complaints about the food. Instead of sending thank you cards to my friends and family that attended the wedding, I now have to send apology cards. Please do yourself a favor and do not hire Fresh Cut Catering. They are unprofessional and irresponsible. I really trusted them and had expectations. I gave them the opportunity to fix this problem after sending a long complaint and they did give me a call and gave me a small refund, but I don't think it will ever be enough to make up for the amount of embarrassment they caused myself and my family. My wedding day is a special day for me and my family to remember forever. I sincerely regret ever hiring them and hope that any of you readers find this helpful. I wouldn't want anyone else's wedding to be ruined and remembered the way mine was. read more
