Highly recommend Cutting Edge! We had our wedding catered by them, and Jeremy and Jessica were amazing to work with. Our reception venue unfortunately cancelled on us within ~3 months of the wedding and when updating Jeremy & Jessica to let them know that the reception venue would be changing, without us asking, they immediately began reaching out to venues to help us out which was so unexpected and greatly appreciated. We attended a tasting which was very well-organized and made our selections for both the cocktail hour and dinner. We have guests still raving about the food months later! For cocktail hour, we selected the grilled cheese bites with tomato soup, beef wellington bites (this was especially a big hit), and bruschetta. For dinner, we had the ricotta, herb, & spinach ravioli as a vegetarian option, salmon with a lemon dill beurre blanc sauce, and filet mignon with garlic butter. My wife and I worked with Cutting Edge Catering for our wedding in March, 2025. From the moment we first exchanged emails, Jessica and her team delivered outstanding service. Her team was extremely communicative, worked diligently within our budget to build out a menu of delicious food that catered for all our dietary requirements. Jessica was very helpful in arranging a taste testing for us and we knew very quickly that we had made the right choice. Our waiter took time to explain each course, he was friendly and attentive, and worked effortlessly to address our questions and feedback. My fiancé and I were considering this caterer for our wedding and did two separate menu tastings. We went with another caterer as my fiancé is Indian and we ultimately went with a family friend to cater our wedding. However, I would 100% recommend Cutting Edge based on their level of service and quality of food. Jessica and Jeremy were very responsive to all of our questions via email. They were listed as a "preferred vendor" at our venue and, after an intro phone call with Jessica, my husband and I quickly knew they were the team we wanted to go with. I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about Cutting Edge catering! They recently catered our wedding and not only did they provide AMAZING food, much better than any I have ever had at a wedding, but the staff was also professional, personable, efficient, and all around wonderful! Throughout the entire experience with Cutting Edge, from initial contact and planning (which was last minute as our previous caterer had to back out) to set-up and serving at the wedding, they made the process easy and seamless, and it is clear that they really know what they are doing. Our wedding was in Big Bear in January and the night before it was expected to snow. Cutting Edge actually rented a 4-wheel drive vehicle for their staff in case it was needed and booked them accommodations on the mountain for the night before our wedding to make sure that they were able to make it to the wedding. In fact, some of our vendors had to back out last minute due to the weather, but Cutting Edge went above and beyond by planning ahead to ensure that they would be able to make it. They had already given us a wonderful deal on the price of our wedding package, so honestly I can't imagine that they made very much off of our wedding! THIS IS PHENOMENAL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Regardless of their profit margins they did what they needed to to make our wedding happen and I cannot thank them enough for this. After the wedding, the staff packed up all of the leftovers for us and created a beautiful charcuterie board for my husband and I to enjoy after the festivities. As if this all wasn't enough, they also gave us a wonderful little gift bag with thoughtful items (chapstick because of the cold weather, chocolates, and even a Starbucks gift card)! I'm confused because this company has a lot of positive reviews so when booking them I had a sense of relief bc I thought I'd be taken care of. I got married early this month & let me say that their staff was '5/5 stars' on the day of the event. However, this review is based on how Jeremy handled the issue that occurred. He has terrible customer service & comes off condescending & rude. To start, We hired this company close to a year before the event & the only time they reached out was for us to sign the contract & to start the deposit / payments. Moving forward, I was the one to have to reach out to get the ball rolling for the bar menu & details etc. Mind you this was a Month before our wedding & I had requested a meeting in person or over FaceTime a long while ago. The venue actually had really good things to say about him & how we would be in great communication so I'm still wondering what the heck happened not only with communication but the attitude. (The venue also only had 2 bar services to pick from, i think they should add more options) All our payments were complete so when he sent me an email saying that we had one more payment my heart dropped bc we had just been in communication when I sent the last payment (it is not cheap!), turns out he was a little unorganized & didn't realize we had paid. Not a huge deal but when planning a wedding, you are already so stressed that you should not have to Reach out to them or be told you haven't paid. Unprofessional. He & the venue approved for us to rent a keg to serve beer to our Friends & family. Come the day of, they were pouring it foamy bc they did not keep it cold over night. He basically blamed me for their wrong doing & even went as far as saying that he never approved the keg (when I have emails of him approving it ) When expressing to him over a phone call all my concerns he never once apologized for anything & just wrote me & my family off, calling them liars after I had explained a small incident at the bar the night of. We had to return the FULL keg to BevMo & were not refunded the $200 it cost for the beer they were not able to pour. Honestly, I wasn't too upset about it because I thought i would just reach out, explain to him what happened and he would resolve it & possibly reimburse us. Or at the minimum be nice and apologize! Nope. I was met with hostility & emails just pointing the finger at me. ME, the bride who literally was busy getting married. He said he would meet me half way and not "invoice me the rest of the tips that were due to his bartenders" (he made this up) & after asking what he was talking about & to show me where in the contract it said that he completely moved on to blaming something else on the keg fail. My husband & I actually walked up to the bartenders at the end of the night to tip them & they told us that they did very good on their tips (they had a tip jar & venmo QR code) & that they wouldn't accept our cash. What trips me out is that in the contract it says that they will not walk away from a problem...let's just say he broke the contract P.s. Gabby the bar manager was great! If we were put into contact with her sooner, it would have made a world of difference. I wonder if there aren't more reviews like this since it was so damn draining dealing with a business owner who does not have his customers in mind. Let me start by saying I wish I could have given them a full 5 stars because they ROCKED the day of our wedding 5/7/22. During the typical mingling after everyone ate the first comment from our guest was that the food was amazing! Even before they said congratulations, lol. From the App's to the dinner everyone was floored at how everything was cooked so perfectly especially the ribeye's. Believe this even the vegan bell pepper dish received rave reviews. I don't have a single picture of the food because it was all gone so fast. The staff was so attentive to us we actually got to eat and it was hot. Our drinks were always full. I was originally against the open bar but when it was a bonus with our package, I am very happy we had it. I did find out closer to the wedding that Cutting Edge does offer other services had we known we would have utilized them more. The more one vendor can do the easier it is, my biggest recommendation. The reason for only 4 stars was due to the communication in the weeks prior to the wedding. In the beginning everything was great communicating with Jeremy but we also did book over a year before. Unfortunately in the weeks prior we communicated through another employee that did make things more stressful than they needed to be. I was looking for a catering company to take care of my great grandmas birthday on Memorial Day weekend. We wanted to book a company that was seasoned in wedding catering. I went to the knot and wedding wire to submit the request. I also started a Yelp project looking for caterers. I had a few responses back but was very confused by the set up of the menu and pricing. I found Cutting Edge Catering on the knot and decided to inquire on the phone. Jeremy - the owner answers and to my luck they were available on the day we needed. Yaay. We looked through their Yelp/knot/google reviews and based on their high caliber of review, we decided that they were the one. I submitted the catering request on their website and Jeremy responded a few days later with the price quote. It took him several days to respond back to my via email, most likely because they were so busy. I then spoke with Angel on the week before our event and she was awesome! She quickly and efficiently answered all of my questions and got back to me very quickly when she didn't immediately have an answer. They arrived on the day of the event with three trucks filled with equipment, food, table settings, furniture, and linens. They cooked everything on site and were extremely organized and tidy in the way that they prepared and set up. The appetizer service began at 6pm sharp as we discussed. They were extremely flexible and accommodating any time we needed to make a change. Their servers were personable and friendly. One of them even helped us to place the center pieces on the table even though that wasn't a part of the service that they were hired to complete. The hors'deuvres were absolutely delicious. The prime rib was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. The bartender was professional and happy to serve. Claudine -one of their servers was my favorite. Angel was there every step of the way. We ended the event at 10p and they were out by 11. Their price point is not the cheapest that we found, but the value that they provided, the service, and the food quality significantly exceeds the cost by far! We had them do the catering for my daughter's backyard wedding this past weekend. It was a small wedding by today's standards, only 150 guests. Everything they were involved in exceeded our expectations by 1000%. The food was simply outstanding. It was very tasty and fresh. We had family style table service. It was amazing. They work with you every step of the way ensuring that your menu is customized to what you want. My daughter chose a chicken with the most spectacular tasting sauce. It was complemented by garlic creamy mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. Prior to the meal we had salad and bread. I cannot count the number of compliments that we received on the meal. It was not your normal catered chicken meal. Words cannot express how impressive it was. Prior to dinner service during the photo session they did an appetizer station. It included spinach artichoke dip, Parmesan toasted pita's and a huge fruit selection. It complemented our bar perfectly.. They also had a beverage station set up with lemonade, iced tea, and coffee. The presentation was perfect. Along with the outstanding food we were given the most amazing, cheerful, friendly service that you could imagine. They used our kitchen for part of the service and worked out of it. They left the kitchen cleaner than a found it. Everything they touched, came in contact with, or did exceeded mine and my daughters expectations. They immediately eliminated so much stress I can't even begin to tell you. If you are looking for a caterer for any type of event this should be your one and only call. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I will be using them again in the future for work events.. As a Covid Bride, there were a lot of obstacles that stood in the way of an amazing day and Jeremy assisted us through every step! He anticipated our needs, provided timely updates to our conversations and even accommodated some signature items to customize our dinner & bar menus! I would also like to thank his staff and banquets team for their amazing hard work during our wedding. They all arrived polished and with BIG smiles, ready to help us celebrate our Special day. The bartenders were friendly and their drinks were superb! In addition, the service throughout the evening was flawless. Now for the BEST part of the evening....the FOOD! We ordered the Platinum Package menu (this is the best value if you want a bar included) and had a plated selection of Short Ribs and Salmon. When we arrived at 2 pm for our first look, we could already smell the braised Short Ribs cooking and it was fantastic! The appetizers were hot and delicious (I HIGHLY recommend the Filet Wellington Bites) and the cheese display was beautiful. My Salmon entrée was perfectly cooked and the butter sauce was delightful! Because their minimum charge of $500 was unreasonable for the size of the event I'm hosting, I let him know it was too expensive and thanked him for his response. In return, I got an email stating that perhaps I should just do it myself and host a backyard BBQ. (picking my jaw up off the floor) Unnecessarily snarky and rude. Their quote was substantially higher than the other 4 I have received. So....no...I will not be catering my own event, nor will I be hosting a backyard BBQ. I recently went to an event at Etiwanda Gardens and was really impressed by the catering provided by Cutting Edge Catering. The venue was nice and so was the music, but the food really stood out here so I choose to review the catering company rather than the venue. The event had appetizers and entrees so I'm not sure what sort of dessert offerings are possible as I didn't stay long enough for dessert if they had it. For the appetizers, they served bacon wrapped dates and bite sized quiches that were filled with cheese and caramelized onions. I ate a lot of bacon wrapped dates as those were so deliciously salty and sweet. The quiches were also hard not to keep taking off the tray and consuming in one quick bite. I was really tempted to keep getting more, but didn't want to fill myself up before dinner! For the entree, it was buffet style which I liked. Since I don't do seafood, I chose the herb crusted lemon chicken. This entree is really flavorful so top points there, but I was expecting the herb crust to be crispy and found it to be a bit on the soft side. It didn't detract from the experience, but don't be alarmed if you have this and it's not crispy, it's still really delicious and everyone at the table agreed it was awesome. I took a side of asparagus which they char and I don't know how they prepare it, but it was sensational! I went back for seconds and took a lot more asparagus and I'm a hard sell on vegetables! I also had the red roasted potatoes which were also awesome. They've got a bit of a kick to them and I liked that! Well done - and this coming from a guy that doesn't eat potatoes much! I also had the summer salad which has a great balsamic vinaigrette. I'm not super sure what their pricing is like since I didn't book this catering company, but I'm certainly inclined to do so. They do work outside of Etiwanda Gardens, not sure what their radius is, but it's worth seeing if they'll host your event! If they do, let me know so I can come too! read more

We had originally booked cutting edge catering for our small wedding dinner up in big bear. However, Due to unfortunate circumstances our wedding plans had to take a completely different direction. With much remorse we had to cancel our booking. Fortunately We were able to make it out to one of their tastings that was phenomenal, all the food was delicious and we were glad we got to at least partake of that!
