Nick was absolutely spot on with bridging my "wants" with the budget and the best flowers for the season (we were coming into fall)!! All in all, I could not have been happier with how ALL of the arrangements both with the ceremony and the reception turned out! And all of this was done in less than a 1.5 week turn around. I will definitely be getting back in touch with Multiflor for future events, and bouquets!

Chaya Floral is a wonderful florist in the northern Virginia area, with beautiful bouquet designs…read moreand customized arrangements for special occasions, such as weddings. I was very pleased to find this business, especially since I am not local, so can't easily pop into a store and talk to the owner to learn more about the flowers. But it was an easy online process. I planned to send flowers for my mom who lives in Virginia for her birthday. Instead of the standard 1-800 flowers, I wanted to choose a local florist in the area that offered delivery and support a small business. After some research of northern Virginia florists who offer delivery on flower bouquets, I chose Chaya Floral, which I highly recommend. Chaya Floral's website was easy to use, with a good amount of floral bouquets to choose from for delivery. Compared to other florists, Chaya is more expensive. However, their arrangements are high-quality with fresh flowers and lovely designs. It's worth the money. I chose the "Touch of Love" design, which was modern and chic, which I knew my mom would love. When checking out, you can add items for an extra charge, so I added a balloon with the bouquet and made sure to place it a few days before my mom's birthday for delivery. They cannot deliver on the same day, so plan ahead. On delivery day, my mom was not at home at the time when the florist attempted to deliver, so the florist called me and let me know that instead of leaving it at the door, she would drive out and deliver it again in a few hours, which I appreciated since it was raining that day and we didn't want the flowers to be outside in the rain. The bouquet looked very similar to what's displayed online, and they also indicate that if certain flowers aren't available, they will substitute flowers of equal or higher quality. Also, instead of a typed message, the florist handwrites the message on a card for an extra touch. I'm very glad I found Chaya Floral and would highly recommend using Chaya for flowers in the northern Virginia area.

Rachel and Lauren were extremely fun to work with, very professional, communicative, and ensured everything was as we planned. They were by far my favorite part of wedding planning! I gave them a picture of a bouquet I loved, and they did everything possible to make the exact replicate. They planned to provide a moss bed free of charge for my escort table, but little did I know they styled the whole table, and brought a few extra pieces to include. It turned out more beautiful that I could have imagined! The whole reception was extremely beautiful because of their touch and attention to detail. They brought our vision to a reality. I could not have asked for a more amazing florist! I plan to hire them for all events in the future that need the services they provide. A friend of mine traveled to our wedding to be our photographer, but should I need a local photographer in the future, I plan to call Sweet Root Village first! I already miss working with them. :) Thank you, ladies!

I was busy with other details but emailed my fiancée pictures of (unique) bouquets I liked from the Internet. Somehow he found this florist, relayed a picture, and asked for delivery to our hotel the next morning by 0900. Yes, they could do it, didn't give any attitude or make it sound like it was a big deal, and they literally delivered what they said they would, right on time! In addition to being so helpful and responsive, the flowers were gorgeous and EXACTLY like the photo. The flowers seemed like the were cut that same morning they were so FRESH! No lost petals or droopy stems in my (85 degree) wedding day! The bouquet was also delivered in a tall glass "vase" with a tiny bit of water in the bottom to protect the flowers and keep them fresh. It was a genius delivery system! After the ceremony I placed the bouquet back in the same vase and the next day they're just as gorgeous. I'd give ten stars if I could. I struck gold with this florist!

From the beginning, my husband and I knew we wanted to hire a day-of wedding coordinator to handle…read moreall the details, and (most importantly) any crisis that may arise. Given that we have both worked in events professionally, we know the kinds of things that can go wrong, and also the amount of work that goes on in the background to throw a great party - wedding or otherwise. We had to make the argument with our parents to not just assign these responsibilities to a relative instead of hiring a professional. It wasn't until the wedding day that they realized just how invaluable it was for us to have Katie there to support us and essentially run the show. In the words of my mother, "You were a God-send -- we would have been screwed without you there." After working for years for other companies managing events, Katie recently broke off to start her own wedding planning company, Pure Whimsy Events, so her prices are really reasonable. She also goes above and beyond for her clients, which is what we were told from an acquaintance who had hired her for their wedding in Fall 2013. Katie helped us keep everything organized and on time in the planning process, and referred several vendors to us including the transportation (which was much less expensive than others we'd looked into). While trying to keep everything straight and organized, I started feeling like I was losing my mind - but Katie was there to keep my head on straight (and in turn, my husband's). She reviewed contracts for us and called out anything that might seem abnormal. She created a detailed timeline for the day-of, was on time for ALL of our meetings (either one-on-one or with vendors), and of course made sure we had everything we needed throughout our wedding day - even offering to buy me coffee in the morning Unfortunately, she ran into several snags throughout the day but she still kept a smile on her face and got the job done. She even managed to get us an Uber car (the planned getaway car for us), which was really difficult on our wedding night considering it was the same night as the White House Correspondent's Dinner, and Uber was providing the transportation for them. Katie is sweet, enthusiastic, meticulously organized and hard working. It doesn't matter how simple your wedding is, I would suggest hiring Katie to help keep you sanity throughout the process and also so you don't have to worry about anything on the wedding day except enjoying it. She also knows when to crack the whip with vendors to make sure they deliver on their promises, which is not always easy to do. Thank you, Katie, for making the process that much easier and our wedding day so stress-free (for us)! PS. Her emergency kit is worth its weight in gold. There were things in there we didn't realize we needed until we did!

From…read morethe first meeting with her, it was clear that Katie was organized, experienced, and passionate about making sure our wedding went exactly how we envisioned it. Over the course of our roughly 18-month engagement, Katie could not have been more attentive to our needs. She laid out the schedule (managed through basecamp) for both our tasks and hers, and was always quick to respond to our questions. I would say one of her biggest strengths was in helping us fill in the gaps in our vision for the big day and knowing which questions to ask vendors and ourselves when it came to design preferences. She even made sure to reach out when it looked like we were starting to fall behind on our tasks, which we certainly needed. She always had stellar recommendations for vendors but never pressured us to actually take her recommendation. We learned quickly that when Katie recommends someone, they're probably the right fit for the job :) While I can't sing Katie's praises enough for her guidance in planning the wedding, she was unbelievable on the day-of. When we needed to resort to the rain plan- every bride's worst fear- Katie coordinated all the necessary changes with our vendors and made sure that set-up flowed smoothly. We have since had a few guests that thought the rain plan was our original plan all along! Of all the choices that went into planning our wedding, hiring Katie was the best decision we made, period. You will not regret it!
