I was lucky to find FB after a ride at Big Creek. This is what a bike shop should be, rider owned, great customer service, everything you expect in a real bike shop experience. Since my first visit I have had my Fox Factory Forks, serviced on my HT, recently got the correct springs for my coil forks, and rear shock, as well as numerous accessories, and apparel. There are 2 shops way closer to me but Shaun is awesome so I make the longer drive. Support your local shop when you can, especially the smaller non-chain shops like Fresh Bikes. read more

Shawn and his team are top notch. They have gone out of their way to help me when it comes to quick repairs or major tune ups. They have handled all my warranties from my bike in a timely manner. The best part is they give you loaner parts while yours are out for warranty! Fresh Bikes has one of the largest selections of new bikes in the area and always has the newest models when released. I have had 3 bad experiences here. One time my chain broke and they refused to help in any way at all and I was forced to walk my bike home 4 miles I went back thinking of buying a bike. Granted it was during Covid but they said no bike trial rides were allowed. Why would I buy a bike without riding. Thought I'd give it one more try to buy some padding and a helmet. These guys are authentic! Let's begin with reality, if you intend to buy anything of quality, you pay what it costs and you enjoy the purchase and the product and life is grand. You want to find shortcuts in life to save a little money? (and we know what kind of inconveniences that creates) but that's not the point here. These guys put me in two different/comparable bikes to let me decide and let the "bike choose me" as Shawn says. I got to experience their people, service, personalities and real bike trails (big creek) right down the street to make my purchase based on full and real life information (not a sample in a parking lot). Today was an amazing experience and fresh bikes far exceeded what are already very high standards of mine. You should have the same high expectations for purchasing a nice MTB. Why wouldn't u purchase a bike somewhere (like fresh) when they want to service it as part of the purchase price for two or three more years to keep you happy and pleased With the purchase. These guys are fantastic. Approximately 12 years ago, I was riding at Big Creek when I got a flat tire. A young guy in a pickup truck pulled into the parking lot and said he was a mobile bike mechanic. He fixed my flat (I didn't have a spare tube, pump, or anything useful). Fixing the flat would be remarkable, but the mechanic fixed it for free. Fast forward to now, the you g bike mechanic was Shawn, and now owns Fresh Bikes. The same generosity, candor, and friendliness abounds, and I just bought a new bike for my 6 year old daughter from him. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and echo the other posts about Shawn's know-how and trustworthiness. The mechanic told me I had to wait over a week for him to look at a bearing on my headset. Something that could've been fixed in a half an hour by looking at it and selling me the correct bearing I needed. I told him I was on a bit of a time crunch and waiting a week seemed a bit unnecessary for the job. At this point he basically told me to f*** off if I can't wait a week. Place is great and great selection on bikes and gears. We drove an hour to ride big creek and I needed some stuff for my bike (Giant Reign). While I was browsing with a few items in my hand I had 5 people walk up to me asking if I needed help. Their building isn't big and flet like they didn't want us there or something....I spent $100 that day, they have a helmet I want so I may try it again and see how it goes the second time around. read more

I first discovered Yeti mountain bikes by purchasing a used 575 privately. I was sucker punched with the bug and went to find the newest Yeti 29'r on the market before they were in production, of all the shops I called on the East coast and in the ATL, Shawn called me back immediately with availability status and what details he could share, from there it just kept getting better. So I don't usually write reviews and always mean to, more than likely when they are going to be bad. I have received some disapointing bike service lately, then I went to Fresh. First of all going into the shop its more than obvious that the owner knows his stuff. Shawn went into detail showing me the issues and the solutions. The biggest thing for me in wanting to write a review for this shop is that there is high standard and it's proven in their work. Very high standards and a great eye for detail. I was impressed with the shop very much. Another great point I would like to make is that the techs and owner who is a main tech are also the sales personal which make them extremely knowledgeable. My little brothers rear break leaked fluid today before we went to ride and i didn't have any fluid or tools on me so i brought it to fresh bike service just down the road from the big creek trails to get them to quickly bleed the breaks so i could have my little brother ride bikes with me today but i was turned down and told id have to keep the bike there all day for a job that would only take less than 20 minutes because they were building other bikes for customers who would receive the bike a day or two later, not to mention the attitude the owner had with me. So i took my business just .5 miles down the road to Cycleworks and they happily did the job for me and took less than 20 min to do and had a great attitude about it even though they had projects they were in the middle of. So with that being said if you want quality customer service DO NOT go to Fresh Bike Service. I will no longer do business with these people. read more
