I would give this a 3.5 if I wasn't limited to a 1 - 5 scale, if only for variety. Yes, it is a sort of scaled down version of some American buffet chains. But you are in Europe! I regularly had to pay around 13 Euros for a single dish; here, 13.5 gets you an all-you-can eat buffet! The food was average, but the contrarian vibe was tasty.
We were at the Maremagnum around dinnertime (at least for me). If wandering around an American-ized mini shopping mall doesn't ease you back towards things U.S., what will? We were hungry and not really in the mood for seafood or desserts, which seemed to be the major offerings there. Then we noted this place. It just seemed so out of place after we'd been in the EU for over a week.
To be fair, the food is fairly average. They do have somewhat more of a variety than I'd have expected in some areas, but overall it is similar to (and maybe slightly better than) the fare in a comparable buffet place in the U.S. You can get a table by the exterior window / patio and watch the world (plus a number of large tour buses) go by.
Depending on your mood, this is a perfectly reasonable choice for dinner. read more
