    About a week ago I went to the local Autozone for windshield wipers for my wife's car. The store…read morehad the driver's side wiper, but was out of stock on the passenger wiper. I approached the Parts Manager/Customer Satisfaction representative, who apparently was doing some stocking in another aisle. I asked about when the passenger wiper would be available, and was answered with a dismissive grunt. I said I'd take the driver's side wiper and would like him to install it. He grumbled that it was raining and said I should have come in earlier in the day. I responded that I came when I needed the wiper and couldn't do anything about the weather. He wordlessly installed the wiper and went back in the store. I turned on the car only to notice that the wiper was defective, leaving a large area uncleared. I returned to this Customer Satisfaction representative and told him the wiper was defective. He again repeated that I should have come in before it started raining. No apology. No smile. No explanation. I only repeated that I couldn't do anything about the weather. He quickly installed the wiper and wordlessly reentered the store. Today my wife called me from the highway on her way to New York. Her week-old wiper had blown off. She was still an hour from her destination. I returned to the Autozone to talk to the salesperson/Parts Manager/Customer Satisfaction representative. He remembered me, but customer satisfaction was nowhere evident. He offered no solution. I said I'd like a refund. He answered with threats about my 'asking' or 'demanding' a refund. There was no apology. No conversation. No explanation. No assumption that the wiper had not worked the way it was designed to. After some time he looked up the transaction and refunded my account. After he handed me the slip I told him that this marked two transactions in about two weeks that were handled in a way that left me feeling less than satisfied. The Customer Satisfaction representative only offered a 'Have a nice day.' I have never before written a review, positive or negative, about a business. One negative experience with this man could be chalked up to having a bad day. But this was not a single occurence. His attitude and actions seem part of a pattern, one that reflects very poorly on a store that I have patronized since it opened.
