The service was great, prices unbeatable, and they actually gave you more than one small scoop, unlike most shops.

It feels like a one stop shop fo r a really good night, doesn't it? Theres heap s of wines to choose from, and you can visit the discount bin if youre looking for a bargain, or grab a bite to eat at the café - there are some great healthy options, looking pretty kosher, I think there'll even be some vegan alternatives and such. It also feels like a supermarket of up market goods, they're heap to peruse in the aisles, a surprising amount considering how small the store is. Theres a kitchen too, that'll whip you up something, but if I were you, I wouldn't leave without one of the chocolates. Just a great mixture of stuff! Deinately worth a look!

Whenever I come over and say lets go out for dinner, he says lets go to the deli and get something and to be fair they have everything you could want. I often get a serve of their Lasagne and heat it up and a salad. These prepared meals are reasonably priced for what their quality. What really makes this shop worthwhile is the gourmet foods and wine. The selection is pricy but impressive. We had a $40 bottle of red wine from there one evening and it was one of the best I've ever had. Although their products are expensive, the quality is the highest and you know you will enjoy what you have. Bottega Del Vino is like something which has escaped from Europe and is a cut above the average deli.

On numerous occasions I have found myself in Moore Park, also known as the Entertainment Quarter. A…read moreconfusing name given that it's not as entertaining as many other districts. But upon these journeys to said quarter, I've often been in need of a coffee, a place to sit, a place to meet and occasionally a place to have a milkshake or smoothie. And there is a place which I have frequented more than any other place in the quarter and that place is Dolcetto's Desser Bar. Dolcetto has a small interior with seats for about 15 people, then it also has outdoor seating, both open to the weather and enclosed beneath a plastic sheet. The coffee is good coffee and the milkshakes delicious, though they never feel like they're enough. I remember when I was a kid I'd go to the Bakery Cafe and get a milkshake and it wasn't enough that they gave you the milkshake glass, they gave you the metal cup they mixed it in for top ups. But that's a different kind of place, Dolcetto is full of people dressed in suits and smart attire who journey in from their offices for lunches and coffees, often I'll see people like Mario Fenech or AFL coaches who have come in from training for a cheeky caffeine injection. Moderately priced with plenty of seating, it's not a bad place to meet.

It might sound…read morea little odd, but as soon as you spot the Campos sign, you'll know you're in good hands. The morning rush sees all the staff from the surrounding Fox Studios descend here, so there's more reason to try it out. The coffee is consistently good - even at peak times - my only gripe is that I wish they had more quick breakfast options. I bought a muffin once and it somehow managed to be both too sugary and bland. I'm told the egg and bacon rolls are delish, but that's sometimes a bit too much for a morning. With a delectable gelato display and all sorts of other cake treats, it's a bit strange that they wouldn't have some banana bread or good quality muffins on offer. I've yet to succumb to said gelato stand, but from the happy faces of the Bent Street kids I see, it seems like a worthwhile indulgence. For now though, the Campos coffee hits the spot.

They offer a large outdoor patio with a even larger dining area inside. Being in double bay, you're bound to pay more for everything since it is more of a upscale kind of neighbourhood. I ordered the soft serve cone. The flavour changes every once in a while. At the time it was their tiramisu flavour. It was delightfully delicious! It was a twist of mascarpone with a generous drizzle of chocolate on top with a lady finger. *warning* the icecream melts extremely fast so you have to eat it ASAP! Lastly, be aware that this icecream cone is $10. I would recommend going there when it's a flavour you'll really enjoy or else you could get something like this elsewhere for half of this cost. The reason why I gave this place 4 stars is because it wasn't the most welcoming feeling when I entered. The hostesses were relatively nice but something about the atmosphere felt uncomfortable - and it's very pricey!

I came here with dear old mater on a mumsy-sonsy date. She was armed with a voucher of some description that gave us a share-style meal for two with entree, mains and dessert and it kinda sorta almost blew me outta my pants the food was that good. I don't know what I expected, but whatever those expectations were, they were exceeded. Is that possible? Anyway, that's what happened. Entrees were beet, goats cheese and rocket salad with walnuts, some kingfish sashimi served with grapefruit and watermelon, and salt and pepper calamari with chilli, all excellent. Main was this giant slab of beautifully juicy sirloin cut into thick slices with sides of Parisienne mash, wilted spinach and baby chats and adorned with caremalised onions. I didn't know whether to salivate or masticate, so I did one then t'other. It was so big we couldn't finish it, which is some kinda travesty I tells ya. Dessert bordered on molecular gastronomy. There were three things, the winner being a kind of hard toffee ice cream larded with frozen fruit and topped with a cube of the most delicate pineapple jelly that melted on your tongue so fast you weren't sure you actually ate it at all. There was a chocolate pudding with raspberry coulis and one other thing that I can't remember because sour apple cocktail. Oh, and we were the only ones there on a Tuesday night. I mean, place was just dead. Which was fine with me. More for us.
