Besides the usual…read morefish'n'chippie fair they serve yam chips (thin, crispy, yuuuummmm...) and have an amazing selection of fresh fish on display to choose from, from Moroccan Swordfish steaks wrapped in banana leaves to smoked Rainbow Trout to Barramundi sausages, those crazy kids! They cater to the large Jewish population in Bondi by preparing Kosher fish for collection every Thursday and for festivals and high holidays. Where else will you find a chippie that has beetroot & fetta or lentil salad and miso soup?! The shop itself is really cute, with its octopus's garden wavy ceiling painted with fishes and bubbles and pictures from all the local school kids on the walls and everything they have here is delicious, with bells on. Fish is picked up daily from the fish markets and I for one appreciate them saving me from that stinky place! This has gotta be the world's greatest fish & chip shop, for reals.

They have fresh and good quality seafood, all your typical items that you normally find in a seafood shop and also have some more specially prepared items like their salmon sausages and their lemon and garlic octopus. What also makes this place great is the extra services they offer too like kosher fish which is offered on Wednesdays and their internet ordering service. If you're walking by or in the neighbourhood be sure to check them out. Walking past today the green lipped mussels from NZ in the window definitely reeled me in.

We came on a Sunday at 1:00P and only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Most tables are on the covered outdoor patio with just a few others inside the open air setting. We started off with a raw plate to share, followed by individual entrées. + SALMON CEVICHE (A$28): Thin slices of salmon in a bright zesty citrus soy dressing, with dollops of avocado cream and lime aioli. The salmon was so smooth, buttery and super fresh. I rarely eat ceviche since I usually don't care for citrus flavors, but I enjoyed this since the salmon remained the star of the plate. + DAINTREE BARRAMUNDI FILLET GRILLED (A$38): A perfectly sized fillet was delicate, moist and didn't have any bones! The skin was grilled and crisp like a chip. Normally, I'm not a fan of skin on fish, but this was impeccable. A few cauliflower florets in a flavorful chermoula added a bold punch. I also loved the salted barra croquette, a fritter of potato and barramundi, which was fried to a golden brown and light inside. All of this was on top of a fresh mint yogurt which rounded out this very cohesive dish. Others in my group enjoyed the swordfish fillet and the fish of the day, which was a mahi mahi. Our waitress enticed us with two desserts which all of us shared as a sweet ending. + DARK CHOCOLATE PARFAIT (A$18): A rich chocolate pudding layered with Queen Garnet plums and topped with large chocolate shavings. The pudding was creamy and rich while the ripe plums added sweetness with a hint of tartness. + TOASTED COCONUT & MANGO CRUMBLE (A$16): A delightful refreshing coconut sorbet came with juicy cubes of fresh mango on top. Some granola crumbles provided crunch and substance to an otherwise light dessert. I never would have guessed this is both gluten-free and dairy-free. Our server was excellent and took wonderful care of us by checking back and keeping our waters full. We appreciated her recommendations as well. On top of the great service and delicious food, every dish had a lovely presentation and the pricing was reasonable for the quality of each plate.
