Quintessentially English clobber for the youngish and not so young trendy types. As worn by Jonnie…read moreWilkinson (or paid to wear it), you won't go far wrong down the pub when dressed in Hackett gear. Their Polo shirts gained almost iconic status with the Chelsea set and have been loved and worn by many ever since. Originally just offering jumpers, trousers and shirts etc they have now expanded their range to include everything you need to look the part - cufflinks, luggage, scarves, grooming essentials to mention but a few. Upmarket feel to this nearly designer clothing from this quality clothing manufacturer. Cult like status with some, chosen by the discerning buyer of fashion. The manager, Fiona, is very helpful and friendly, and she, along with Genevieve, always greet me like a friend and help me find the clothes best suited to me. I make a point of shopping there every summer and I highly recommend everyone give them a look. The clothes are extremely well-made of fine material. I think I have more Hackett clothes than any other store in my wardrobe now. Thanks a million. See you next summer!

Coupled with this you can go and get the kids kitted out for that private school they are going to, knowing that it all fits perfectly and they will look smart. Traditional in every sense of the word, a trip back in time but some great products and a wonderful service. Typically city gent or West end worker who wants to look smart and look the part.

It is a long step down memory lane, a very nice feeling that I hadn't experienced (I am not a 50 year old English man after all) but I can see why tradition is the unique selling point of this family run business. You will not find shoes or clothes that read 'made in China', it would almost be an insult, everything is made in England, and getting a nice Christmas present for my dad is now not a pickle! Try something new and get you male friend or partner a pair of Pantherella socks, great colours, patterns and a bit crazy!
