One was a secured fenced area, and the other was a large partition fence to separate a vendor's operation from our warehouse space. After carefully reviewing measurements and project requirements, they completed both installations efficiently and flawlessly. The finished product looked fantastic. Shortly after completion, the vendor's director flew in to inspect the project and discovered that his team had provided Freedom Fence with incorrect information regarding the area that needed to be enclosed. I really love this place. They are very thorough and fair. I just got a fence installed an the salesman came out and went over ever thing that would happen and looked over every potential issue we could have. The work was excellent and they over delivered. I once used a fence guy that gave me a lower quote, but ended up charging me more because he "ran out of wood" and needed money to buy the wood to finish the job. I hired Fremont Fence to replace a gate that we build by another "contractor" only a six months prior. The gate installed was so bad it started to droop almost right away. They were very efficient with providing the estimates, contacting my neighbours for the shared sections, and scheduling the work. It did have to wait a while for the actual job to get done as their crews were booked for a few weeks ahead. Their crew arrived on the date scheduled and took several days to complete the job. They did an excellent job of limiting damage to landscaping to almost none. It looks like they prioritise quality over speedy work, which I really appreciated. The team members were very polite and considerate, and kept working tirelessly through a summer heat wave and bad air quality due to wild fire smoke. The overall outcome is very pleasing. The level of unprofessionalism is beyond words. If you weren't prepared to work in the Oakland area why waste my time and effort in getting the bid in the first place. When I spoke to the owner/estimator Matt, he said him and his workers felt unsafe working in the Oakland Hills area which is relatively safe compared to the rest of Oakland, and that they had changed their mind regarding contracts in this area. Fremont Fence saved my 50 foot, 6 foot tall fence built on top of a 3 foot retaining wall, all redwood, which would have cost me $8,000 to replace. It was built in sections: 25 feet of wall, 2007; 25 foot fence on top, 2014; both wall and fence to the end next to it, 2018. The entire structure was going to fall onto the street below with large gaps of soft soil on my side. I stepped forward to look and my foot sank down. It was dangerous and I was scared. The same company had built all sections, including the 3 1/2 year new part, yet claimed the entire failure was caused by the oldest, partial wall. I had the paperwork but that previous company just walked away. I'm so grateful that my neighbors recommended Fremont Fence. An estimator came 24 hours after I called, had an online quote the next day, and an available date the next day , for just 2 weeks, which I accepted. For all the materials, the digging and pounding into hard street soil,the cementing and structural corrections involved, the quote was reasonable and they did not add on. They always arrived, and on time, respected my landscape, and worked efficiently so my house was never exposed. It took 3 days because the fence/wall had been poorly designed and constructed, posts not deep enough, and because much of my soil had eroded onto the street. I recommend them because: 1...Fremont Fence has knowledgeable friendly staff and responsive office staff, 2...they have the right equipment and lumber, even a specialized tractor that strategically pushes the fence posts upright as concrete is poured around the posts and " buddy" posts, 3...they use screws instead of nails, 4...they have experience building retaining walls. I now have an upright properly supported fence. Our back fence fell down in one of our wind storms that ripples through our backyard and since we don't share it with anyone, it was all on us. Doing some research I saw that Fremont Fence seemed to the THE fencing company in the area catching most people's business so requested a quote. They scheduled the estimate visit and provided a quote quickly (higher than what I wanted, but sounds like the price of wood is keeping everything high) and due to their thriving business couldn't even book the replacement until a couple months out. It took a day, everything was efficiently coordinated, and we have a new fence that looks nice. The base isn't pristine (some gaps that I had to fill with dirt and concrete at the base of the posts are just lumped up with a pile of concrete and a little messy looking) and they weren't very considerate of our plants (to be fair they did give a disclaimer they can't be responsible for plants within a certain footage of the fence...but still seemed like they could have been a little more cautious), but overall satisfied with the process and quality. read more

Received two quotes, the other company did not want to take away a cyclone gate they were replacing and the concrete they had to remove.
