My grandmother recently had her fence done by this This company and I must say that they did a subpar job . 1. They used staples to secure the boards. They had to come back and install nails after having to call them numerous times 2. The board which holds the center latch is misaligned and shorter than the other boards. I honestly would research other companies before moving forward with this one. You might not be happy with their work.

I'll let the pictures of how this job was left tell the story... I can appreciate with recent storms that fence companies are busy but this crap is unacceptable in my opinion.

Great experience from start to finish! Replaced a fence between us and our neighbor that was 75 feet long. Work was completed in one day, and the guys were super nice and professional! Second time using them and highly recommend them!

Deer fence and gates

I have used them three times now on my large property. While other companies had up to a month out to just give an estimate, Mike came out within a few days and was able to start the projects within a week. Workmanship was good too and none of the gates have sagged either. I would use them again.

Old fence loaded, ready to be hauled away.

Our experience with Newark Fence was very positive. Dealt with Juan (foreman) who came out and provided competitive quotes to do three fence runs between 75-80 feet and two 7/ft end runs, one with a gate. His crew showed up when scheduled and quickly set up and began removing existing fences. By days they had all old fences down and loaded up to be hauled away. They left the job site very clean for the next days work. The following two and half days were spent installing the new fences. I made it a point to be present so that I could answer any questions and make sure the crew was addressing a few nuances and concerns related to our install (which they did). Installers, Octavio and Daniel, worked like dogs in the very hot July heat. I made it a point to regularly inspect everything they were doing to make sure the work was up to my (picky) standards. I'm happy to say they did an excellent job and the finish work was very nice. Fence post were dug deep and cemented in properly, they were respectful of adjacent surroundings (shrubs, planters, sprinklers), everything looked plum and straight. They did a very good job cleaning up after everything was complete. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing and the results reflected this. My neighbors and I could not be happier with the work they did. I find it interesting that some reviews for Newark Fence weren't all that stellar. Definitely not our experience which leads me to believe that they may not be consistent for whatever reason. That said, I would hire them again but as before make sure I was on site for day of install to periodically inspect their work. Although truthfully, I think they would've done a great job regardless.

Front fence is falling apart after 6 months. Large gap in panels.

We had Newark Fence come out and replace our 30yr old fences that had blown down. Price was reasonable and they came out quickly to do it, even braving some of the storms to get it done. Once it was up, we were pretty happy with the results, the fence looks nice and was to our expectations. Fast forward about 6 months, we have started to see the downsides of their fast work and what appeared to be poor quality due to lack of oversight and supervision the day of the install. 1) We decided to install concrete in our backyard so our contractor dug out about 4 inches of the dirt. Upon doing so, he found 3 posts that only had cement at the very top layer, below that you could see the bare post. This was only in the areas where he removed some of the top soil, so I have no idea how many more posts are like that in the areas that weren't uncovered. 2) the front gate is already falling apart. You can see in the pictures how the panels are poorly secured (only a single nail holding them together in some instances). You can also see in the pictures how there is already a lot of separation occurring because of the poor construction. It definitely needs to be reinforced. There are extreme large gaps all over this thing, so much so that you can see the exposed nail in some areas. 3) they use "staples" to fasten the main fence boards to each other. I'm sure this is a regular practice and is fine. However, I have seen on our fence a number of areas where the staple went through the first board, but did not go into the second board rendering it completely useless. All in all, I cannot recommend Newark fence. I am pretty disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and do not have confidence that this fence will last 20yrs, or even 10 years for that matter. Hopefully I am wrong, but given the state after just 6 months I am doubtful.

Quality of the work was poor. Gaps in fencing. Gate not lined up. They came back and corrected some of the issues but created others

We went with Marquez Fencing because they were very knowledgeable and responsive. Their team came on time, answered all our questions, got our feedback and approval before proceeding with any changes, and was done in a day. Our fence and gate look great, exactly as the mockup Rick provided. The materials were great also. We now have a higher and sturdier retaining wall. We will use them again for our fence on the other side of the house once we are ready. Highly recommend.

My Project: 2 Gates, Side Fencing, Board on Board 6 Feet, Metal Posts Upgrade, Con Heart Picket…read moreUpgrade I believe this company can build a great wood fence with wood posts. They work efficiently and their pricing is competitive. I didn't even mind that they ate a persimmon from my tree without asking! However, I cannot recommend them for wood fences with metal posts. 1. Insufficient Attention to Metal Post Protection Metal posts are an investment intended to provide long-term durability. The installation did not demonstrate the level of care I expected. A. Inadequate corrosion prevention - The exposed metal edges required appropriate zinc-rich protection to help prevent corrosion since they cut the pre-galvanized, powder-coated posts in the field. This was discussed and agreed upon beforehand, but the crew did not arrive with zinc spray. I supplied my own can, but the crew did not follow the manufacturer's application instructions. They cut the tops, bottoms, and even both ends of the posts. I understand that fieldwork involves practical time constraints, but protecting exposed metal edges from moisture-related corrosion is particularly important. B. Poorly cut post ends - Cuts were uneven, preventing the post caps from sitting flush against the metal posts and leaving visible gaps exposed to the elements. C. Exposed screw hole - The crew made a screw entry hole but subsequently removed the screw, leaving the hole exposed. Ideally, they should have left the screw in place, or even better, use another post since this was their error. D. Incomplete treatment and early signs of rust - 13/15 posts were untreated with zinc and show signs of rust three days after installation. Hopefully, bottom cuts were treated. 2. Communication and Project Coordination Once the contract was signed, communication was slow for a fast-paced project. Responses often took more than two days. Lack of confirmation: I agreed to an October 29 installation date but never received confirmation that the crew would be arriving. I reached out to verify the appointment. They never responded to my October 23 question about how to prepare the area, leaving me to guess what to do beforehand. I ultimately decided against the staining upgrade because my questions about it went unanswered. Last-minute timeline changes: The estimated duration changed from two to one day without prior notification. As a result, I had to communicate my technical concerns the morning of construction rather than discussing and addressing them beforehand. Contractor should consider communicating important project milestones, such as installation date and 811 utility marking, so customers know what to expect. 3. Workmanship and Contract Verification A. Workmansip Example - The crew cut a hole in the pressure-treated lumber for my underground sump pump PVC pipe without first verifying the pipe's actual position. The pipe had shifted, so they cut the hole in the wrong location. They cut a second hole and covered the original mistake with a board. B. The contractor did not add the 3 inches of gravel specified in the contract. When asked, the contractor pointed to the gravel on the truck. I later reviewed my pictures and videos to verify that gravel was never installed. If something is specified in the contract, it should either be completed or discussed with the customer before being omitted. The Pros 1. Fast quoting: They sent an estimator quickly, and the quote was detailed and highly competitive compared with the 4-5 other estimates. 2. Quick scheduling: I was scheduled within two weeks of signing. 3. Efficient execution: The crew arrived promptly, completed the project in one day, and did an adequate job cleaning up. 4. Accommodating: They used wet-mixed concrete at my request, addressed my concerns about cantilevering with a three-post design, and constructed a kickboard style board on board gate. (They advised there would be no concerns with sag when asked.) A few things prospective customers may want to consider: 1. Aesthetics: Don't expect flush screws or nails or flawless lumber. There will be minor scuffs, imperfections, and small missing chunks of wood. Be aware that nicks to powder-coated metal posts may require touch-up work. 2. Concrete and cleanup: Requesting wet-mixed concrete does not mean the crew won't pour additional dry concrete into the hole and mix it further. Post-hole dirt / debris are not included in their debris removal. If you care where they dump it, then let them know. 3. Utilities: The crew will use your outdoor water connection, so consider disconnecting it beforehand if you have concerns. 4. Point of contact: Direct your questions and concerns to the person who provided your estimate. I raised concerns with an employee in person, but my feedback did not appear to make its way back to my estimator. I will update if they reach out or any changes occur.

(10 Stars if I Could!)…read more If I could give 10 stars, I would. We hired Freedom Fence to install two very large fencing projects at our facility. One was a secured fenced area, and the other was a large partition fence to separate a vendor's operation from our warehouse space. From the beginning, their communication, attention to detail, and professionalism were outstanding. After carefully reviewing measurements and project requirements, they completed both installations efficiently and flawlessly. The finished product looked fantastic. Shortly after completion, the vendor's director flew in to inspect the project and discovered that his team had provided Freedom Fence with incorrect information regarding the area that needed to be enclosed. Despite the mistake having nothing to do with Freedom Fence, they immediately stepped up. The same day they learned of the issue, their team was back on-site working on a solution. They even worked through the weekend to relocate the fence and ensure the project stayed on track. That level of customer service is incredibly rare today. Freedom Fence took ownership of the situation, prioritized the customer, and delivered a solution without hesitation. I will use Freedom Fence for all of my future fencing needs and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They are a fantastic company with exceptional leadership that truly puts customers first. A special thank you to Hunter, who was absolutely top-notch throughout the entire process. His professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to customer satisfaction were second to none. Highly Recommend
