Small glass of Black Beer. Rating: Very good.

Food is pretty good. I had the roast pork knuckle with beer gravy, sauerkraut, and bread. The full portion has too much meat. The meat of the 1/2 portion was a bit dry, but it was flavorful. The skin in either portion was crispy and tasty. The sauerkraut was good. The beer was good. The service was slower than I am used to in the States.

    Pork knuckle - amazing taste

Go for the pork knuckle, and the cashew soup! Both are very amazing and don't be detoured because of the name I promise you won't regret any of it! And make sure you're hungry when eating the knuckle.

    Super cosy and nice decorated!

Oh boy did we have ourselves a treat eating here! They offer superb locale yummyness and drinks. Their childrens menu is a little simple, but our kiddos didn't complain. Service was very friendly (at one point 3 waiters stood at our table to help). I definitly recommend having a bite to eat here, when you are in Dresden.

Nice place to grab some food after the tour. Everything was what it should be. Not impressed, not disappointed.

Good pork knuckle and reasonably priced. Located in the nice historic area and a must try if you visit Dresden

Herabsetzung statt Gastfreundschaft - meine Erfahrung am 12. August…read more Am Dienstag, den 12. Disrespect Instead of Hospitality - My Experience on August 12 On Tuesday, August 12, I went to this restaurant together with my sister and her brother-in-law. When we arrived, I politely asked the waiter if we could sit at a particular table. To my surprise, he responded very harshly and said in an unfriendly tone: "No, you cannot." At first, I was confused and thought he might be joking. But when my sister followed up and asked if the table was reserved, he repeated, in no uncertain terms, that we were not allowed to sit there. I do not want to accuse anyone lightly, but the way he spoke to us felt condescending and unnecessarily hurtful. The table had caught my eye because it was in the shade - something very important to me, as I cannot stay in the sun for long due to my skin. There were still two empty beer glasses on the table, and if that had been the reason, he could have simply explained politely that he needed some time to clear it. Instead, we were dismissed in a rude manner. Since moving to Dresden in January, I have thankfully not experienced any racist or discriminatory behavior. But on that day, I felt deeply disrespected. My sister's husband eventually tried to calm the situation and said, in perfect German, that the waiter should not take his bad mood out on guests. Still, the waiter continued to get upset about the fact that we wanted to sit at that table. In the end, we were so shocked that we left the restaurant and went to another place just one street away - where we were greeted with kindness and courtesy. To this day, I am still stunned that experiences like this can happen in the year 2025.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! We went to the restaurant for dessert and drinks after our meal in town. We…read moreare a group of 5, 2 are from Czech who live in the US now and the rest are from the US. We came in with masks (no staff had any mask or COVID precautions) and we're sat at a table. After viewing the menu for a little a man server (grey beard) came and asked to see our vaccine cards. We all pulled out our vaccination cards as well as our passenger card QR codes that we filled out to enter the country. After his system "wasn't working" to scan our QR codes he proceeded to go on and on about why he couldn't serve us but none of it made sense. He wouldn't accept our vaccination cards or our paperwork that was REQUIRED to enter the country. We have had NO problem eating at any other restaurants, going into any other places in Prague and the surrounding cities we have visited. He was rude and kept speaking for 20 minutes while we could have just left and gone somewhere else for drinks and desserts. By the time we left everything else was closed. On the way out of the restaurant a lady who was seated stopped the waiter to try and help us, she was from the UK... mind you the UK is considered a COVID HOT SPOT RIGHT NOW! And the US is not!!! Super disappointed in the staff for their lack of knowledge and how rude the waiter was. Wasted our time for no reason. If you're from the US don't waste your time coming here, you'll have to wait 20 minutes listening to BS just to be turned away.

I expected the food to be much better. It appears the hotel is being rated here. Nice viewsread more
