This place has the best ice cream in Puerto Rico (I pay $3.50 for two scoops). I'm addicted to the Rocky Road flavor. The recipe is the perfect balance of ingredients and texture. It's so addicting I literally have eaten here every day and I have even gotten two cones in the same sitting (it's BAD). It's a small place and there are no business hours posted on the door. The shop is known for their Nutella ice cream shake but I think it's too sweet. The waffle cone is fresh also but they don't always have the waffle cone available.
I prefer supporting small businesses in general, but the ice cream at Freezing Point really speaks for itself. I think Haagen Daz is way overpriced. Ben & Jerry's is too sweet. Baskin Robins is overpriced AND they skimp on the ice cream scoops. Cold Stone is overpriced, their ice cream is too sweet AND it melts too fast. The only other place I like in San Juan is Ice Scream Sandwiches in San Patricio mall. read more
