Visiting from Los Angeles and Absolutely LOVE this place! Angela was as sweet as the ice cream they serve! The ice cream is delicious, but I would come back for the conversation and ambiance alone. - Very clean, AC is blasting, Service is top notch. - Ice Cream - I went with the Rum Chata and coffee flavor which taste amazing alone, but even better as it starts melting. Those flavors went really well together like a marriage of 30+yrs that never disappoints. A LOT of unique flavors and options that you can try. - Ambiance - great for a date, after lunch, or just to try some local flavors that you won't regret like the last relationship that didn't work out. A MUST if you're visiting PR or live here!

I got the Guayaba cheesecake on a waffle cone! Soooo good! There was pieces of guava and it was just perfect. My only complain was that the cone was a little soft and not as crunchy as you would expect. They also have boozy flavors!! So Ice cream with alcohol. I have to try that next time! The location is cute and pink. The girl at the counter was very nice. Great ice cream!

This place is SO cute! And the ice cream is so rich and yummy. They have "nice" flavors (typical ice cream) and also "naughty" flavors (with booze!) I love the theme of this place, with the bright pink walls and neon signs. It feels very trendy and clean. Aso, it is located right around the corner from the Miramar food truck park! Great place for dessert after lunch.

I really enjoyed the variety of ice creams and sorbet offered here. My family of 7 held up the line as we sampled and enjoyed our delicious choices. I decided on a almond ice cream. It was nutty and flavorful. The kids chose nutella, fruity pebbles, and a flavor named after a cookie that is popular in PR, which I cannot remember. Hubby got the mango sorbet. We all smacked down even after our meal we enjoyed just next door. Everything is made in the store and when they run out - that is it. We found out the hard way when there was no more Whopper and just one serving of popcorn and M&M. This is a popular shop and I am glad the shop owner took the time to offer us samples.

Good old fashioned home made ice cream store; hard to find in PR in general in my experience. The owner was very friendly during a slow after lunch time, and was telling me all the special flavors she makes and how popular they are. I had two nut based flavors that I enjoyed very much. Mind you, the flavors are seasonal and change regularly. One thing surprised me was that the ice cream melted very quickly, probably because it was home made and no a/c in the store. Recommended stop if you are around Rio Grande!

That cheesecake Guyaba changes lives! That was single handedly the best thing ce cream I've ever had in my life. My son had the milk and cookies and that was equally as great. Parking can be hard to come by here but don't be deterred, it's worth it. read more

I was craving something sweet after dinner . I was in the mood for ice cream so I looked up ice cream shoppes in the area . This place caught my eye instantly . As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the sweetest cashier who was very friendly and seemed like she enjoyed her job . I decided to get the cookies and cream ice cream and also decided to get a crepe as well . Onto the good . The ice cream was amazing and you can tell they use really good ingredients . The ice cream was some of the best if not the best ice cream I have in a while . Which is a huge deal because I have had ice cream from all over the world . Onto the bad the crepe was okay . Incredible ice cream and phenomenal service. Had the coconut cream ice creas (can't remember the name) and the guava cheesecake in a waffle cone. Wow, I cannot stop thinking about how good it was. The coconut ice cream had coconut shavings and pieces of coconut cookies and it was to die for. The guava cheesecake was like eating a cold cheesecake with small pieces of guava inside. Incredible. Served was patient, explained the concept, gave us samples and catered to our needs and specifications. Was an excellent experience. Tried the guava Prosecco and trust me going back just to have a pint of it. read more

Really well done! Very tasty ice cream with creative flavors and a fun atmosphere. They have a ton of old games to play and I think the two women who started the business are typically here running the shop. Worth your while!! Prices are commensurate with the quality (really good ice cream is not cheap to make) and you are supporting a quality local business. read more

The passion fruit Italian ice was outstanding. It's impressive that everything is homemade, it reflects in the taste. My one complaint is the price to cost ratio. Their "small" scoop is laughable for what they charge. I understand that it takes effort to create something from scratch but they need to at least choose a different container for the small size. It looks like they put a tiny ice cream scoop into a lid from a cup. read more

This place hits the spot after a day of adventure in the rainforest or beach. Easy to park in street or in open lot across from it. Definitely get their homemade cones; you can smell the waffle from outside, louring you in. My fav was the 3 Cocos ice cream, which was fantastic. Just off Hwy 3, its one bldg off the main road 191 into El Yunque. We are ice cream snobs (we go to a nearby dairy farm at home that we think is best in USA) so think most other places are average or worse... Pecca was great! So much so, we are hitting it again on way out of town. read more

This place is extremely cute! My girlfriend and I went to this place on our way to seven seas beach, and wow did the sorbet hit the spot. I got mojito parcha (passion fruit mojito) and coco mojito, both of these flavors have alcohol in them. My girlfriend got parcha (passion fruit), tamarindo (tamarind), and guayaba (guava). read more

This Ice cream shop was delicious and has outstanding service that only Puertoricans can offer! My hubby had the frozen coffee with an extra shot of expresso and a scoop of coconut ice cream in his shake SO DARN GOOD. I had the two scoops of Cookie butter with huge chunks of cookies in the ice cream. So fresh and creamy. This place is a must! Wish I would of taken some pics but sorry got caught up and the fat kid in me came out and ate it all up...but next time I will take pics! Believe me there will be a next time SOON! read more

The location is right next to the burger spot call Mi Vida Cafe as you leave El Yunque. We were beat after the rainforest and stopped by after a burger and fresh lemonade next door and did not regret it. Such a cute place! They make their sorbets, ice cream, and crepes fresh and are super friendly. They also offer alcoholic ice creams! Great treat after your hike my friends and I decided against the naughty flavors and went with parcha, guayaba, and tamarind. All really great. Passion fruit was tangy and refreshing. If you aren't looking for the pucker but still want something refreshing go for the guayana or the tamarind. Really awesome place. REALLY REALLY recommend this spot and wish they were closer to me! This place takes the ice cream game all the way to the top. The staff were so nice. We got our ice creams very quickly for a group of 6. The atmosphere was so nice and friendly. The decor there was cute. I recommend the chocolate crunch ice cream it was so good. In my group Duce de leche, almond, and rumchatta were all 10/10 flavors. Everything was homemade even the cones. Which are fantastic. read more

We stopped by after a few hours hiking and activities. Great little spot very quaint and the helados probably some of the best ones I had. I had the chocolate and nutty almond on their home made waffle cones. Probably some of the better flavored and crafted ice creams you will find that doesn't taste franchised! My friends had the coconut milk shake and another had the crepes. If you're in El Yunque, have 30 minutes or more to spare before your drive back to San Juan go by and check it out! read more

Everything here is made in house with natural ingredients!!!!! All flavors taste exquisitely amazing! 2 minutes away from the Yunque rainforest entry! Prices are reasonable- my family enjoyed. read more

When we went to Peccas, I knew my daughter would try to have the largest amount of ice cream possible, but little did I know I would share it with her. When we got to Peccas, I expected overly sweet flavors, as one does when they come from the states, and I was delighted to discover that there were tastefully made flavors (such as Dulce de Leche, S'mores, and Chocolate Chip, which we ordered and loved) everything was homemade. I absolutely loved the whole experience, from the shop to the owner, everything was nice and gave me the best experience possible. My daughter even declared it the best ice cream she had ever had! Totally looking forward to trying more! read more

The flavors are all extremely unique and it's a mystery what may be in a specific flavor (e.g. Pavlova and mixed berries), but you can try to your heart's content for free. I was overwhelmed with all the flavors they have, but luckily they let you have samples of the ones you are interested in before committing to it. I will also mention that they have a lot of unique flavors which makes it really hard to decide. I was reading on their website that this business started 20 years ago on a smaller scale at home, with Anita (mom) making jams and toppings and her son making the base. Despite the line being long, it went by really quick and time flew by looking at the menu while waiting. They offer 5 different sizes - 3 single serve and 2 designed for take away - and do give you an option between cup or cone. I ended up getting the regular size which appears to be a small cup but they do a good job of filling it. It came with up to two flavors so I chose the cookies and cream and a white chocolate pretzel thing. I think between the commotion of ordering and all the people, there was a miscommunication in one of the flavors I ended up with since it tasted different from the sample but it was still good. The regular cost $7.90 and each size after is a little under $2 more. There is seating in the back, but we took it to go and instead went to go sit in the pigeon park nearby. The staff was very nice, and managed orders well despite there being so many people with different requests.

My gripes with this place aren't really with the ice cream itself (though I am salty about the fact that 'pocky topping' is just two sticks of pocky jammed into the cup), it's mostly about the experience. Rolled ice cream is cool and all, but what we pay for isn't really the ice cream: it's the experience. Watching them pour the liquid ice cream onto the cold surface, chop it, spread it, and roll it is what we're paying for. And Below Zero has blocked off the area where you'd usually watch them work. I think maybe it's because of COVID that they blocked off half of the store, but it just feels disappointing. Was definitely pricey, but having good taro ice cream was worth it.

Once inside there is a place to take temperature and sanitize hands ( this is very common around the island). After placing our order we were handed a beeper and waited outside. The weight was long, I'd estimate 10-15 mins. The ice cream was really good and I would highly recommend, just be prepared to wait.
