Very cute ice cream place! They have a unique variety of flavors, we tried guava cookie and carnival. It was a bit on the expensive side, but worth it for the quality.

While in Puerto Rico we stumbled upon this place in search for some ice cream. They have a lot of unique flavors to choose from. I got the guava, which didn't taste much like guava but was still okay. There's a small seating area in the front. I got a kids scoop which was a tad pricy for the size. However my husband enjoyed his ice cream flavors.

This was my favorite "go to" place in Condado for homemade ice cream that is not too sweet. It's a small store that is hidden if you blink. There's a small seating area inside the store was well as an outdoor bench. A small scoop in a dish or cone was $6, but it was well worth every penny. They will let you sample flavors if you are having trouble deciding. The most popular flavor is Guava Cookie Crunch in which the guava is melded into toffee. But I also greatly enjoyed the fresa (strawberry) which had a hint of sweetness. My wife enjoyed the strawberry shortcake as well. Both flavors are excellent as options for homemade ice cream. Street parking can be a bit challenging in the vicinity, but this store is within walking distance of the Supermax Grocery Store and Silk Restaurant. Be sure to visit! You might end up coming a second or third time as I did during our stay in Condado.

This was a very cute little ice cream spot find during my travels to Puerto Rico . The inside is fun and the service was fast . There is a little outside section and few benches inside to enjoy your treats . I recommend grabbing dinner at the place with the big patio just across the street before heading here. Can't remember the name , but their salmon plate with green rice was my favorite dish of the whole trip :)

Walked by this place and decided to stop in. Note: the full name of this place is "la heladeria funkyberry Ice cream" on google maps. don't pass this place up!! Amazing flavors, adorable interior, decent price for the size. We tried a few other ice cream and gelato places while on the island, and this was the only one we've entirely finished so far. I hope to come back to this ice cream shop some day! Nice variety of classic and unique flavors. Wonderful texture, very creamy, and both flavors we got had cookie chunks!

Grabbed some homemade ice cream from this place it was referred from the worker at Double tree so we stopped in. We were not disappointed the ice cream we had was delicious I had guava cookie crunch and my hubby had vanilla bean . The little triangle piece of cone was buttery and delicious I could have eaten several of those . If we lived here in San Juan Puerto Rico I could see us coming here often. But let's just say while we are here I have a feeling we will be back before our flight home .

DELICIOUS!! Get the ice cream flight which contains 6 scoops of flavors you choose for $10! It's a great way to try the various flavors. The ice cream is fantastic! Soft-serve ice cream that is joyously made in-house. This place does not disappoint! It is a hidden gem with an eclectic, hipster vibe. I highly recommend!

PSA: They're now offering six-flavor flights! Another PSA: If you walk in there when Strawberry Shortcake is available and don't order it, you're making a huge mistake.

Fun and funky ice cream shop with fun and unusual flavors, along with standards. Decor inside is eye-catching with benches for seating. Outside is a small area for seating with tables and chairs. Service was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!

Delicious creative ice cream flavors, friendly service, and sweet smell as soon as you enter. Very cute decor with a little bit of seating inside & outdoor. We had midnight in Paris & Funky Sundae. Too many good options so against my will I'll have to come back a few more times.

It's hard to say anything bad about this place!…read more The line is long, but it's full of excitement and gawking at everyone's gelato and seeing their faces when they take their first taste. Also, the line moves pretty quickly. At $7.19 for the regular (two flavors), it's not cheap (PR McDonald's vanilla ice cream cone is $0.99 for comparison!), but it's definitely worth doing (at least) once. The flavors are all extremely unique and it's a mystery what may be in a specific flavor (e.g. Pavlova and mixed berries), but you can try to your heart's content for free. In the end, I doubt there is a "bad" flavor. My favorites were cookieman (like Oreo cookies in a vanilla base) and chocolate cookie. Pistachio was good, but a taster would have sufficed. Sadly, they did not have a mint and chip!

We did not realize how popular it was until seeing how long the line was and how many locations they have around the world. I was overwhelmed with all the flavors they have, but luckily they let you have samples of the ones you are interested in before committing to it. I will also mention that they have a lot of unique flavors which makes it really hard to decide. I was reading on their website that this business started 20 years ago on a smaller scale at home, with Anita (mom) making jams and toppings and her son making the base. Despite the line being long, it went by really quick and time flew by looking at the menu while waiting. They offer 5 different sizes - 3 single serve and 2 designed for take away - and do give you an option between cup or cone. I ended up getting the regular size which appears to be a small cup but they do a good job of filling it. It came with up to two flavors so I chose the cookies and cream and a white chocolate pretzel thing. I think between the commotion of ordering and all the people, there was a miscommunication in one of the flavors I ended up with since it tasted different from the sample but it was still good. The regular cost $7.90 and each size after is a little under $2 more. There is seating in the back, but we took it to go and instead went to go sit in the pigeon park nearby. The staff was very nice, and managed orders well despite there being so many people with different requests.

I need to re-emphasize that I had such low expectations, especially for the taro ice cream, but it was excellent. It had that taro flavor that you wouldn't think a random ice cream shop in condado would get right, but. they. did. I loved that they let you add boba as a topping to the ice cream. I personally didn't try their boba drinks but having the boba with my ice cream definitely scratched the boba itch I had during the trip. My gripes with this place aren't really with the ice cream itself (though I am salty about the fact that 'pocky topping' is just two sticks of pocky jammed into the cup), it's mostly about the experience. Rolled ice cream is cool and all, but what we pay for isn't really the ice cream: it's the experience. Watching them pour the liquid ice cream onto the cold surface, chop it, spread it, and roll it is what we're paying for. And Below Zero has blocked off the area where you'd usually watch them work. I think maybe it's because of COVID that they blocked off half of the store, but it just feels disappointing. Was definitely pricey, but having good taro ice cream was worth it.

Due to COVID restrictions only 1 party was allowed to enter at a time. The menu was conveniently posted outside so making a decision was easy before entering. Once inside there is a place to take temperature and sanitize hands ( this is very common around the island). After placing our order we were handed a beeper and waited outside. The weight was long, I'd estimate 10-15 mins. The ice cream was really good and I would highly recommend, just be prepared to wait.
