My truck was towed to this location, and overall, the process was fairly straightforward. The gentleman I spoke with over the phone was kind and helpful in explaining the steps and documents needed to retrieve my vehicle. We were required to obtain a release form from the Sheriff's Department, which cost $495. Once the release was obtained, I paid an additional $235 at the towing facility to retrieve my truck, as it had been stored overnight. My main concern was the limited weekend hours, which are only from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In my opinion, these hours are quite restrictive, especially for customers who need to retrieve their vehicles over the weekend. Additionally, the facility appeared to be short-staffed during our visit. We waited over 40 minutes for someone to open the gate so we could retrieve the truck. While I understand staffing issues can happen, the wait was frustrating and added unnecessary time to an already stressful process. Overall, the staff member I spoke with was helpful and courteous, but the limited weekend hours and lengthy wait time could be improved to provide a better customer experience. read more

I never thought I would ever leave a positive review for a towing company, but Claudia is truly one of a kind. My mom's car had been impounded for two weeks, and I drove all the way from OC to Santa Clarita to help her retrieve it. Claudia went above and beyond to make the process as smooth as possible. She even stayed after hours so we could get my mom's car back. She is personable, kind, compassionate, and incredibly attentive. We were having a really difficult day because of the entire towing situation, but Claudia's kindness and genuine care completely changed our experience. She treated us with respect and empathy during a very stressful time, and that made all the difference. Thank you, Claudia, for reminding us that even in difficult situations, there are still people who truly care. You are an incredible asset to your company. read more

Woke up to the shock of my car being towed . Sheriff's didn't see our moving permit. The interaction with this company started as pleasant as could be with Emile at the front desk. Professional, efficient yet patient and kind. It was a breath of fresh air. The curt elderly man, who was a driver named Vince I believe, turned the whole situation around. He was rude and unpleasant and seemed all too eager to make this as difficult as possible. His attitude was cold, impatient, and dismissive. He was very unprofessional as he walked out verbally complaining about others he had to work with when he himself was the only disappointment we had to deal with. It's people like him who make this already dreaded experience more painful and difficult for customers. I am giving 1 star to highlight Vince's substandard service, though Emile at the front desk deserves 5 stars for his professionalism. read more

Adam saved a dog's life. Unfortunately the keys were left inside the car and the dog pressed the lock button with his paws and got stuck inside. Is an old doggy with hearth and breathing issues so me and my friend were ready to do whatever was necessary to take the dog out. We called 911 desperate for help and they were able to send help FAST. Adam from Freeway Towing Company arrived within 6-7 minutes and was able to open the door without any issue. Me and my friend will be forever thankful for his sense of urgency and understanding of the situation. We will 100% recommend this company for any emergency!!!! Again, thank you! read more

I had a terrible experience with Freeway Towing Inc. The customer service was very poor, and the staff was unprofessional. We were quoted one price, but when we went to pick up our car, they changed the price and the terms without any clear explanation. It felt dishonest and misleading. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and honest towing services. I hope they improve their customer service and pricing transparency so other customers don't have the same experience. read more

If you breakdown on a Friday and have a choice avoid this place like the plague. They have bankers hours. Close at 5 pm on Friday and don't open till Monday morning so you will pay storage fees. My advice to anyone who a vehicle get AAA. It will be the best investment you make, I'm not kidding. $1208. For a tow and weekend storage. That amount would cover your AAA membership for 12 years! I had no choice due to a situation of breaking down on a dangerous stretch of highway and CHP advised/ordered this company. I made the mistake of not checking reviews which were subpar. They really didn't care about service. It's like your car is in jail and you have to post bail. This is where you thank me, Registered Owner may be present in person to get the car out. Driver was nice, value of service overall was below average and excessive. The End read more

To keep this short. They illegally towed my van, pulled it onto a flatbed truck with the transmission locked. Would not give me my van unless I show proof of insurance after I got a release from the sheriff department. I let them know my registration is in the van and they would not allow me to get it out. I had to call the sheriff and they had to come to the shop to help me. After being able to show them proof I waited 40 min to see them push my van to the street and leave it in the middle of the road. My van would not start found out that because they were dragging my van it damaged the transmission and is why the van wouldn't start. If they respond to this saying I was extremely mad I can agree with that I was more than extremely mad read more

This place is a scam. My car was stolen and the sheriffs recovered it. I went to the tow yard to get my car but the office closed at 5PM. Then they told me I had to pay $247 bucks to get the car released. When I showed up the next day to get the car released and pay the fine. They then told me I had to also get a release form from the police by 2 PM or it was going to go from a one-day storage fee to a 2 day storage fee. By the time I got the form signed it was past 2 PM. They also told me if I use their locksmith he could go onto their property to make a fresh key. When I showed up the next day before 2 PM, they told me they couldn't release the car because it had outdated registration and I would have to pay them to have the car towed to my house and for 3 days of storage instead of two. Every time I talk to them, they purposely left off information. They kept adding additional requirements before they would release the car. Every employee refused to take responsibility for their poor communication. There is no way a company with this shady of business practices should have a county tow contract. read more

Freeway Towing - Worst tow company in the United States. - Towing Near Me - Santa Clarita, California

Illegal withholding of cash and professional tools - Violation of CVC 22651.07. I am filing this complaint against Freeway Towing Santa Clarita for their inconsistent and illegal practices. I presented my legal Bill of Sale (REG 262) and my Sheriff's release to retrieve my personal property. In a completely illogical move, they gave me my check and credit card because they were 'in my name,' but they REFUSED to give me my cash and over $1,000 worth of professional tools that were in the same place.By giving me the check, they already admitted that the property in the vehicle belongs to me. However, they are now illegally withholding my cash and my tools, which are my livelihood. According to California Vehicle Code 22651.07, a towing company must allow the retrieval of personal property without charge. They are using the 'name in the system' as an excuse to keep my belongings, even though I have the legal DMV documents. This is without mentioning the way they provided the service, telling me that what the sheriff says is what happens in his office and that the establishment's rules were independent of what the sheriff said. I understand things to a certain extent, but I don't think that's the professional way to respond. Now my cash, my house keys, and my tool are... That's because they don't have my name and my Reg 262 is not valid to prove that I am the owner of the property. This is a predatory practice and a violation of state law. I will be taking further legal action and reporting this to the City and the DMV. read more

zero stars place is a scam these tweekers use every loophole they can to keep your car there longer, while they rack up fees and steal shit out of your car. if you can, avoid using their service. i wish i could have but after my car was stolen and the police located it, they were obligated to take it to this s-hole. a county contract haha what a joke oh and the officer told me i wouldnt have to pay anything, as this was a police matter. but this place is a private business with fine print you'll never read and they can just make up rules as they go. dealing with freeway towing is like dodging cars on the freeway...on one foot..blindfolded read more

Yousef and Anthony are incredibly kind. They were one of the only tow company's in SCV or the surrounding areas who could tow our dually truck after breaking down on the side of the 126 in Fillmore. No one else had a large enough truck to haul ours. AAA left us sitting on the side of the road for 3 hours and we're unable to find a tow. HIGHLY recommend Freeway Towing. Sociopathic staff. Horrible exploitative fees for everything. Came in to pick up car that was towed, and they moved the goalposts for their own policy to maximize the amount of time it would take to provide proof, so they could squeeze one more overnight fee. Avoid at all costs. read more

My worst nightmare. Only 22 miles from home my motorhome broke down and needed to be towed. Mind you this is at 5pm on Sunday. I called Freeway Towing and with the help of Anthony, Adam, and Vince they took the time to insure that my motorhome would safe and secure at their storage facility until the next day where they towed the motorhome to my mechanic. Freeway Towing has not only come through once, twice, but THREE times. The first time, they were able to drop a massive amount of on my bill because they have empathy and are willing to work with you. People don't understand that to run a business everything must be paid for, how else would someone stay in business. The customer service is beyond great and their drivers always keep a positive and friendly attitude. I 100% recommend this business and would highly ignore the reviewers who don't even have reliable words nor a good sense of judgment. read more

The CHP came to help in our time of need. We were so relieved after a hit and run disabled our wheel. When Freeway Towing showed up after the CHP called, the driver was full of excuses as to why he couldn't transport us the 70 miles left on our 400 mile trip from Northern California to get to my mother's home. She had been hospitalized and we were driving through Valencia about midnight. This was the time a tow was most desperately needed. We are not from the area and had no one to call except a tow company. Nope. They wouldn't help. The driver said "this is a safe area. You'll be OK" in response to me saying "So, I'm supposed to just stay in my car until the morning (7 hours)?" Thank goodness the CHP found another company when I called and told them what happened; LM Towing did help us even though it was inconvenient. Kudos to LM Towing. I would never recommend Freeway Towing. read more

So shady. I called on a Friday to ask about their hours so I could pick up my car and was told that opened at 10am on Saturday. "Great! I'll see you tomorrow!" I showed up at 12:45 only to be told that the office closes at noon on Saturday, so it was an extra $80 for an "after hours pick up." That's right. Even though there were plenty of folks in the office who were glad to help me, they are only open for 2 hours on Saturday. And never bothered to tell me that on the phone. So my choice? Pay the $80, or leave it another day for only an extra $50. Shady cash grab. read more

It was my first accident ever and this tow yard definitely helped me learn a lot! Not in a positive way either! When I went to go see my car and retrieve my belongings the guy that escorted me to my car said "You can't take anything off your car" to which I replied "Okay." I started to grab my belongings, I disconnected my subwoofer and began removing my dashcam, when I started to do that he said "Oh you have to leave those in the car" I was confused because these are easily removed, essentially the same thing as removing my phone charger. I asked why? And he responded "you can't take anything that isn't a personal belonging" I was still confused and said that I was going to take them, he responded with "If you do I'll have to ask you to exit, you can ONLY take your belongings like ID's, Phone, Docs, etc." I didn't feel like arguing so I left them. Skip ahead a few months and my attorney told me that what he said was not true, that some sh***y tow companies will do this and take things for themselves!!!! Shame on this company!!! read more
