This was, without question, one of the most infuriating and unacceptable experiences I have ever had with any company. I was passed around from rep to rep like nobody wanted to deal with me, and after wasting my time bouncing between departments, I finally got someone on the line--only for things to get even worse. The representative I ended up with was flat-out rude, unprofessional, and downright aggressive. When I told him I didn't have my VIN number on hand, instead of helping me or offering alternatives, he got irritated and actually started cursing at me in Spanish. Let me make this clear: that level of disrespect is absolutely disgusting and completely uncalled for in any customer interaction, let alone when I'm literally trying to purchase a service. I tried calling back to file a formal complaint, hoping someone--anyone--would take the situation seriously. Instead, I was met with nothing but resistance, excuses, and a wall of people who clearly had no interest in helping or holding anyone accountable. It honestly felt like the entire company was structured to make customers give up. I walked away from this feeling disrespected, shocked, and furious. Thinking that Freeway Insurance might be a better deal than Mercury Insurance, I was floored when I was quoted $1,000.00 more a year than I was already paying. I have no accidents, no tickets, and own multiple vehicles. So I guess, don't be fooled by the commercials. I don't know why insurance companies say they're better than each other, trying to justify the expensive amounts they charge, when services they provide ARE THE SAME, but are vastly different in COST. I've had a few different insurance companies over the years, and have had accidents happen, none of which were my fault, but each insurance company really did not live up to what I purchased, meaning they didn't want to live up to the contract, making me force the issues down their proverbial throats to get what I paid for. But to pay an exorbitant rate and get less than satisfactory service isn't a good thing, and after researching existing Freeway Insurance customer reviews, I made a conscious decision to not purchase anything from them. I called around for multiple quotes based off of ad's I had seen and after calling about 10 different places and being put on hold and getting inaccurate quotes I just so happened to dial out to the correct place. I decided instead of getting a quote over the phone, I would walk into this office and speak to someone in the office and I am so glad that I did. I was greeted by Jasmine Teodoro upon walking into the office and what can I say, I was extremely impressed by her knowledge and professionalism. She explained everything to me step by step and answered all of my questions with great knowledge. This place is a joke..my Son went in and got Insurance from Maria and she charge him 350 for a broker fee when this other place we went to told us that was unethical and said they only charge 35 dollars. And his pymt month drop to only 105 for the the same. They are crooks do not go there. My advice is to shop around do not go here. This will not let me post if I don't put in a star. Would love to give this place zero stars. The person that helped me out was Hinick. After i was seated at his desk for help the guy was making calls to other people on the phone while i was this. Once that was done anither employee required his assistance. I sat their at his desk 15 mins before getting helped. When i finally got helped making a payment, Hinick picked up the phone 2 more times to sell an insurance policy. I spent 30 minutes here with no line to make an auto payment. When I complained that I had already spent so much to re-instate policies they told me they would reimburse me the money. Don't do it! Pay for an actual insurance company not a broker. They take advantage of you and charge an absurd amount in fees. They wanted a down payment of $220 up front, followed by $325 two weeks later in broker fee's, followed two weeks later by the monthly payment of $126. Who the hell has $671 to pay in the first month of insurance? It's a freaking joke. They also charged a "documentation and imaging fee" along with a "split payment fee" getting someone on their customer service line to actually assist you is like trying to put a fire out with a sneeze. They hang up on you, blind transfer when they don't know the answer and will leave you on hold for 20 plus mins without cause. Ended up cancelling the policy and going to AAA better coverage paid $123 down and new monthly payments are $112. Couldn't be happier! Do your research and don't settle. Look at the fine print and make well researched decisions. Even if the cost doesn't bother you, the lack of customer service did. Went in to get insurance and the price kept jumping up from the original price I was quoted, keep in mind I have a perfect driving record and I am over 25. I ended up paying 120 to just start the process and this only covered me for 10 days. I later asked what it would cost to add another vehicle and was told it would be the same amount...wrong! I came back to the office to add another vehicle and the lady told me it will be an additional 100 dollars just to change the policy but if I called the 1800 number they would do it for no extra charge...
