She was incredibly kind and compassionate and told me she would reduce the policy while I waited for the title to transfer so the car could be sold. The car has been sitting in the driveway and is no longer being driven. Unfortunately, I discovered that I was charged the full premium and was about to be charged the full amount again. I spoke with Nadine, who reduced the premium moving forward but refused to credit the previous month , despite Diana telling me the policy would be reduced. What was most upsetting was Nadine's response when I expressed my disappointment. She said "I can just cancel your policy if you would like." I was shocked by her lack of empathy, especially given that I had just lost both of my parents. I understand policies and procedures, but compassion and professionalism matter. We reached out to our local State Farm agency, and were blessed when a kind, understanding representative answered the phone. Fernanda patiently waited as I frantically went on and on about the nightmare of an experience we had had over the past few days, then reassured me that she would take care of us. After binding coverage (which by the way took 4 WEEKS!), I received a call that they had "accidentally misquoted the actual amount due" and now I owed $200 more than what was quoted, bound, and paid for! It's like driving a car off the lot and then the dealer says you owe more money or you can't keep your car! Thankfully there is a Florida Insurance Fraud Hotline for this type of egregious activity, which I called, and there is currently an INSURANCE FRAUD INVESTIGATION taking place. STAY AWAY!
