Walked in there was only one person working.. he was on the phone when he was done he just talked to us from all the way from his desk. Didn't even get up and acknowledged us. When we went to his desk it was messy he had food and a plate with chick fil A sauce so unprofessional. And he said our insurance for 2 cars came out at $497 which is crazy. She didn't notify me that there was a $34 charge that freeway charges and it would've been nice to know that in the beginning. Also I had an appointment she gave me because I was going on my lunch break. When I got there there she was with somebody. Then took a walk-in before me and I was late getting back to work. When I called her back when I got to work still confused why price jumped up $34 dollars and her response while there been maybe cause she changed day for tomorrow to start policy cause current policy ended that day. I had insurance with freeway for at least 3 months I paid almost $600 for the down payments and my monthly payments were $130 I am a college student and I got no discount or anything lowered on my insurance I decided to leave and found a much cheaper one that I pay $97 a month and when I cancelled my plan a lady from freeway insurance said I was going to get a refund for my down payment that I should receive it in the mail in a couple of weeks. Two weeks past and I haven't received nothing I call freeway insurance and they tell me that I wasn't getting no refund that I can't receive one. I paid $600 down the drain with this insurance I always paid on time and never used any of the services but when I cancelled I guess I wasn't qualified for a refund guess my $600 wasn't enough!! read more

I was with this company for about six years. I never had to submit a claim, paid my policy in full and on time, and have had no accidents. When I removed a driver from my policy, the car attached to this driver was not automatically removed nor did the company tell me it was not removed. Therefore, I was paying for a car I would not or could not drive. They refused to backlog or offer any compensation for this whatsoever even though it would be impossible for me to have driven that car as it was not my car at all. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. I don't know how they are still in business. I've been trying to remove a car from my policy for days now and they refuse to help. Constant transferring of calls, waiting times of up to 40 minutes, ,and then when I get a live person on the phone they give me the run around about how to cancel, but never return any of my calls. I finally got someone from the Daly City office on the phone (probably Anthony who I met when I went a few years back), who said I have to go in the office to remove the car. When I asked why, because I was previously told I could fax in a cancellation letter, he said there are documents to sign. BULLSHIT! They sure didn't require me to come in when I wanted to add a car to the policy. Not to mention, that time when I only wanted a car added on my current policy, they SOLD me a NEW policy instead (without being clear) and charged me down payment, etc. I eventually fought it and got it credited but these guys are the worst. My policy number 3925807. Hello I would like to share the worst experience ever with an insurance agent in my life. I already did as well with Yelp and Google reviews. The Daly city, CA angent Manuel Ferias was the worst agent ever. I know I was late paying my insurance, so I spoke to the insurance company Anchor general insurance Co. Who adviced me that I have a until the 13th of September to pay it, but that it must be pay on cash to the agent. So, today which is September 12th, I show up to this agent to pay my policy, then he tells me that I need to pay then a $10 processing fee. I handed him a $20 bill and he tells me he doesn't have change, but I could leave him the $20. I told him that I wasn't gonna give him away more money than I needed to and that I will be right back with the $10. When I came back he has the guts to tell me that is now $50 since I must pay a reinstating fee because my policy is now cancel. He clearly did this out of spike towards me. I clearly have until the 13th by 12:01 A.M and I have the letter from Anchor General Insurance to prove it. My policy number is 4394206. WORST COMPANY EVER! DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I started my policy with them on October 28th 2016 through a phone call. I clairly remember to demand Rental Car coverage and Tow coverage(to later on I discover that none of that was actually covered). I paid upfront the first installment plus half of the downpayment to start the policy and the agent told me that the next bill would come on December 10th(I asked to receive my bills due to the 10th day of each month because that's when I pay all my bills) with the second month installment plus the other half of the downpayment, which was FINE! It seemed the best insurance company ever to split that in half, right?! Wrong. On November 14th I called them to update my address because I had moved. They said they updated it. Fine. On December 8th I had a car accident due to a mix of hit-and-run of a truck that hit the rear bumper of my car and a giant pudge of water on Hwy 101 in South San Francisco. My girlfriend was taken to the hospital because she was feeling back pain and my car got towed to a tow place in South SF too. The next day I call them and I swear to god, from the moment I made my first call to the last one when I gave up, I spent over 20 hours on phone WAITING to be transferred to this and that person and after all that, they they had someone to call me just to tell they wouldn't cover my claim because my policy got CANCELLED on Dec. 1st(Funny thing: before the accident they kept calling me offering health insurance. Weird. I had to tell them 4 times to stop calling me offering other insurances). I asked her why and she said I had a bill due on November 20th and they gave me a 10-day grace period. BUT I NEVER GOT THAT LETTER. Also, they NEVER CALLED ME. Also, they NEVER EMAILED ME. They didn't do any effort to contact me and they swear they sent the bill to my address and when I asked them what address they sent, they told me they've sent to the OLD address. I asked them to update my address a lot of days before that. Why wouldn't they call me? Email me? Try anything to contact me? Send another letter to the NEW ADDRESS which I told them to update, letting me know that I missed one of the payments THAT CAME EARLIER THEN PROMISED but would be fine IF I EVER RECEIVED THAT LETTER. I would have paid. Ok, I was already too stressed to discuss so I just decided to pay to reactivate my policy with them, with a fee and etc. After activated the lady told me she still couldn't cover my claim because that happened when my policy was inactive. So they basically just scammed me and stole 2 months of premium plus fees for nothing. Now I have a $3,900 bill with the body shop repair company and a $2,150 bill with Kaiser Permanente because of my girlfriend's visit to hospital. PLUS it's tax season. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH TOPA / ANCHOR GENERAL / FREEWAY INSURANCE! HORRIBLE PEOPLE! LEAVE YOU WAITING ON PHONE OVER 1 HOUR FOR EACH SINGLE CALL. NEVER COVER THEIR CLAIMS. CANCEL POLICIES TELLING WE DIDN'T PAY SOME RANDOM BILL THAT WAS DUE EARLIER THEN EXPECTED. I should have come to Yelp before purchasing my insurance and TRUSTING THEM. People, just DON'T!
