And overcomplicate cancellation by having you fill various forms, even auto renewal requires a form you have to fill on your part in order to cancel. They start training here from two years old all the way to 60 years olds . With my busy work schedule sometimes it's hard to find time to go to the gym but since they're open 24 hours and have classes from 5 AM to 1 AM it has made it easy for me and my family to train if you want to comPete they have a great fight team or if you just want to get in shape this gym is for you. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I attend the Women's Only BootCamp and love every single sweat drenched moment! I have been going attending the bootcamp for 2 months now and what a difference. I have lost 10lbs but so many inches. They are so nice and the workouts are always different and fun. Time flies. Let me get to the details: Classes: The bootcamp is only for women which was a major selling point for me. Each class is 1 hour long starting at 2 classes per week until they bump you to the third one which is always a kickboxing class. I think they have an unlimited membership but I have not inquired about that as of yet. Oh, but I will!! They work you out inside and outside. You run, squat, lunge, lift weights and so on. Time flies and you drip sweat. You leave there leaving super pumped Cost: I will not get into prices online since I am sure they offer different packages for everyone but I was skeptical about the cost considering they make you do a fitness assessment and such before discussing the cost but I was surprised when I finally learned it. It is doable and worth it. Business: I personally know I need motivation to get my butt into gear as I have tried on my own and have failed. This place provides just that and a lot of support. They give you your own personalized booklet with a meal plan catered to you, your assessment results, your starting measurements and so on. This way you can see your progress. I love the trainers!! The gym itself is open 24 hours a day and also offers things such as mixed martial arts, karate, wrestling and so on.. I was made believe I was signing a one year contract to the gym, but then a month later they said the contract was only for the beginners classes and I would have to sign a new THREE year contract if I wanted to take the "advanced" classes. When I called them out on their BS, they had the balls to get defensive and said I should be more careful about what I sign. My options were to either sign a new three year contract or stay in the beginners classes. The term "used car salesmen" comes to mind. I stopped going and contacted an attorney. read more

They don't disclose all the money involved in moving forward or being promoted to advanced classes. I was so happy to be promoted and finally get some real training (considering I had come from another gym where I was already taking advanced classes) but unfortunately I was gently slapped with a total of $300 to move forward --with!...with!-- an increase in my monthly payment from $160/month to $200/month! --with!...with!-- a mandatory change in my original 6 month contract to a 2 YEAR CONTRACT! To start off, I'm from out of town and looked for an academy to train. Now, I was looking for a fun and welcoming environment and found one here at FFA. This is coming from an outsider and some one using Yelp and it really helped. The staff was more than welcoming and let me know what I qualified for and which classes I could take that would compliment my regular training in Cali. First and foremost this is an MMA oriented school, which doesn't mean it's bad it means be prepared to do wrestling, judo, Jiu Jitsu, boxing, Muay Thai, if it's a martial art they teach it here. In all honesty I'm mainly gi but they do have gi classes here too which helped my training. The coaching staff is real knowledgable and take the time to breakdown and teach each move and series to the best of their ability. Mind you that they have a structured curriculum and do quite of live if you're advanced and use to sparring. Don't worry if you're not they will see what level you're at and guide you which is pretty cool. I have visited many academies across the US so far in my short lived Bjj career and I really love FFA because they are so versatile and have high energy. Now I'm not a long term student of theirs I was simply a guest for a week in South Miami and they met all my training needs and provided me with excellent technique and conditioning. You should really try them out if you're in the area or live here locally see if they have a program that meets your needs. But then again this is just my experience and my opinion... I've been at FFA for many years now. I absolutely love this gym and the people in it. I started with kickboxing classes just for fun and fitness. I discovered that I was pretty good at it, and decided to really focus on improving my technique. The instructors taught me so much, and my training partners have always been great. Thanks to the awesome training that I received, I went on to win the Women's National Golden Glove Championship in 2009. I had some additional fights, and then started to add grappling and wrestling to my training regimen. The coaches are skilled and experienced. They helped me to fight hard and fight smart! I even went to Cuba with them to train boxing a few years ago. They've had several trips as a group where they have traveled to a destination that's well-known for their fight style, such as Jiu-jitsu in Brazil and Muay Thai in Thailand. This place has a very family oriented feel to it. The staff and students alike treat you like brethren. I came here knowing absolutely nothing about martial arts and the great thing is that it's perfectly ok. The programs are very well structured for both absolute beginners and those experienced in martial arts. FFA is an awesome gym to train at. I've been training at the gym for two weeks now and absolutely love it! The instructors are very well trained in all aspects of Martial Arts, we box, kick box, wrestle, and do jiu jitsu! I'm doing the 30 day free trial right now and they they treat you like a regular student. It's not like they put free trial guys in a special class. Another thing to add to the gym is that it's open 24 hours, I go in and train sometime at 11pm when I get off of work! Words cannot describe how I feel about this place! I have been going to the bootcamp (which is all women) and I also take some classes at FFA for the last 5 years (had a baby in between) and my body has changed drastically. I went from wearing a size 16/18 to a 10. On top of the amazing fat burning workouts you get, you also get to meet amazing people that inspire you to do your best everyday! I don't need the membership or wanted because I'm also moving to another state. They won't issue me a refund even though I'm providing proof of what I'm saying. Please think before joining this place. Once you sign that contract you are stuck. No wait getting out of that. I read about this gym online and before walking in read that their "advanced/Cap" class had a 2 year contract.I was not interested in anything with that long of a contract and i specifically asked them about it before signing up.The employee looked at me like i was talking Chinese and told me they didn't have anything like that. Well 2 months in, i wanted to move into the "advanced/cap etc class" and the first thing they tell me is there's a 2 year contract, and that everyone in that class has that contract. Their beginner mma class were pretty underwhelming with only 2 sessions a week.However the instructors were pretty good themselves and most of them actually cared about you learning properly.But with 2 hours a week you wont be learning much, and with the price point they have, i'm sure there's a handful of better alternatives. I would definitely consider other places before this one as there are plenty of good places to train in Miami. read more

I'm normally not a morning person, but I have no problem waking up to train at FFA. I've been coming here for 7 months now to a 6:00am class and I see my progress both in skill and physical fitness. The instructors are very knowledgeable and have extensive experience teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, and Traditional Boxing. The fitness classes are also great, where they show proper body mechanics in challenging circuit routines. But the best part is the staff and students that create an excellent training environment. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful towards each other. The staff motivates you to reach your own personal goals, and their positive attitude is emulated by the students. FAA is a great place whether you want to learn martial arts, get in shape, or compete. I would recommend everyone to come try it out! read more
