A Plus Tire and Brake

This was the first time in my life that I have ever purchased used tires (I am out of work…read more.. needed 2 tires... and needed to conserve unplanned purchases to a bare minimum). A Plus Tire was recommend by a friend so I took a shot. First: The customer service is top notch 5 stars. I did not have an appointment but the worked me in pretty quickly. I was a little worried because my 2004 Mustang GT Convertible with 75th Anniversary package calls for a 245/45/ZR17 Ultra Performance Tire. Since they are 'Z Rated' that means that the rubber is very soft. They are designed this way for performance aspects of aggressive cornering, aggressive braking, anti-hydroplaning, and really just excellent overall grip. Second: I never expected used tires would have the amazing treadwear as what I received from A Plus Tire. 'Z Rated Tires' have soft rubber like I mentioned above. Where as passenger car tires get 60,000 to 90,000 miles per tire... a Z rated tire averages 30,000 to 40,000 miles per tire. Finally: Everyone was very polite, carried themselves in a professional manner, very knowledgeable concerning my needs, provided fast work, and retained a high standard of quality workmanship. I highly recommend A Plus Tires not just for used tires but for many other services as well (brakes, shocks, struts...). I suggest you see their website to confirm all of their services. Bottom Line: 5 Stars for my visit to A Plus Tires. As soon as I go back to work, brakes & struts will be first on my list from A Plus Tires. Thank you A Plus Tires!

Excellent service. The owner even offered to give me a ride so that I would not be stranded.read more

I bought some large RV tires here. The guy I spoke with when I called was great to work with. He…read moregave me three different brands with price ranges that I could have installed, I picked Michelin. The we went through a couple of options there and I picked the higher end tire. He gave me an exact price, I agreed and gave him my name and number. He ordered the tires. Later that day, they called to say the tires would be available the next day. We took it in about noon. They had the tires installed and my pressure sensors reinstalled correctly on each of the six tires later that afternoon. I was impressed with how polite, friendly, and efficient the staff was. Also it was amazing how quickly I had new tires on the RV... right at 30 hours from the first call to when they called to say it was ready. Lastly, the price was great... Far less than I expected.

I'm only giving 2 Stars because Thunder ordered two tires preemptively (per my request) in the…read moreevent my two tires weren't repairable because we live in Greenwood. So thanks for that Thunder. When I arrived another gentleman checked me in, he seemed to either be having a terrible day or hated his job because his attitude wasn't that of a welcoming Discounts Tire staff member. I'm from Texas, we have a Discount Tire 5 miles in any direction. They're all always busy, always friendly & always fast. Especially when you have an appointment! We arrived just a few minutes late, our appointment was at 3:30 and I think I pulled the handle on the door to the building at 3:37. I was given a timeframe of 4:50 by the time he was done checking me in and verifying my information. As my wife and I sat in the lobby we watched Walk-In after Walk-In come in, get checked in, serviced and out the door and on their way while we sat patiently and waited for our "Appointment" to be completed. My wife and I have spent at minimum $7K-$10K with Discount Tire. We have 4 kids that we've purchased new tires for, plus my wife's Lexus and my GMC. I had 2 tires on my 2014 Sierra that needed checked, front left for a slow leak & Rear left for a puncture/ serious leak. Possible replacements under Certs (either way if they needed replaced I was ready to pay for it). We've never had an appointment for a new purchase, mount & balance or a flat repair and watched so many Walk-Ins take priority. Ludicrous. And just poor customer service, I hope the rest of the stores aren't like this in SC or we'll take our business elsewhere. Definitely won't be visiting this location in the future. Terrible guys, do better.
