I recently found out the hard way that I had a family of rats who chewed through my water valve wires so I called two places. Once he lifted the valve box there was a momma rat and her babies. There had been construction going on around my house so it isn't surprising that they are just trying to find another home. I can't praise Dan Freeman highly enough. We needed to have our house tented recently and called around for several quotes. Dan's quote was lower than others that I called. He was nice, punctual, and explained things very well. Dan brought as many protective bags as I needed and clearly showed me how to use them. I was especially thankful for the things that he did that went above and beyond: he fixed the roof tiles that were broken during fumigation, he checked on our property during the tenting, and he gave us an extended warranty. I woke up one morning to find termites swarming inside my home. Dan arrived in less than an hour to evaluate the situation. He performed a thorough inspection, confirmed the presence of a colony of drywood termites, and provided several treatment options. After careful consideration and consultation with Dan, I elected whole-house fumigation over spot treatment. Dan walked me through the process, patiently answered my questions, and addressed every detail in depth. Once the tenting and fumigation process was underway, an unexpected thunderstorm with strong winds swept through the area, causing a partial blowout of the tent. Although all indicators suggested the fumigation was successful despite the blowout, Dan agreed to re-secure the tent and re-fumigate at no cost in order to provide me with peace of mind that all termites were eradicated. Once the tent was removed, Dan noticed some damage to my roof. Even though he was not responsible for creating the damage, he volunteered to conduct repairs for me at no additional cost. Dan is always nice and professional when he comes to spray every other month. He is very flexible and willing to work around our schedule. The best part of their service is they will come back any time in between sprays to deal with any issues. In the time we've used his services, he has taken out a new behive forming on our deck, dealt with a MEGA spider that was holding us hostage with it's 6 foot web and most recently gotten rid of the biggest black widow spider and about 15 of her eggs that were about to hatch and storm our house and take over. His extremely thorough inspection revealed a few other issues that needed attention besides the wall that had termites. I asked him to return as soon as possible to fix the termite problem, so he came back the very next day. Not only did he return the next day to fix the agreed upon work, he showed up with the plumbing parts to wrap a drainage pipe under the house that he saw was leaking.. I called and decided to hire Freeman Pest Control based on the reviews I read on here, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Dan was extremely polite, knowledgable, and professional. I hired him because we could hear rodents in our attic and had found droppings in our garage. At that time I had been trying to trap the rodents myself for over a month with no success. Dan showed up, did a walk through, and even pointed out areas where the rodents may have gained access to our home before giving us a quote for rodent trapping. I hired Dan and he was catching rats in our home before we knew it. After Dan had caught 3 rats in a short amount of time, we had thought the problem was resolved since we didn't hear or see any more evidence of rats in our home. A few weeks later we heard another rat in our attic, and that's when Dan really impressed us. He came back out to our home and caught the last rat for no additional charge. He even installed some screen mesh for us in some areas where the rats may have been gaining access. He really cares about his work and doesn't quit until the job is done. The poison still is EFFECTIVE and is killing a ton of the bugs around my house. Now, if your getting second thoughts because of 140$ remember I have 1 MAIN HOUSE and 1 GUEST HOUSE plus there is NO CONTRACT! This review is way overdue. We bought a house in Redlands while our son was at college there. We needed a Pest Control company so I took to the yellow pages (this is how far back we go). Found Freeman Pest control and called. Immediately was impressed with their willingness to come inspect our home in a timely manner and their cost for bi-monthly spraying. Over the years they have watched over our house, that became a rental. They would take the time to contact us if there were things that were broken or needed fixing etc... We don't live in close proximatey to our rental property. We have appreciated this so much! Additonally, they've always keep a close eye out for termites. Which is quite common in that area. They work well with scheduling with our tenants. I respect and appreciate this company so well, I even asked if they would drive the hour or so to our primary residence to spray our house. Dan Freeman did an A+ job for us. We had drywood termites and he and two other pest control inspectors recommended that we fumigate (tent) our house. In our area all of the pest control companies subcontract the fumigation out. Dan subbed it out to Beneficial and they took pride in their work and I was pleased. Both my wife and I are very happy that we selected Freeman's to do our work, Dan was great to work with. He answered all of our questions, took accurate measurements for the amount of gas that would be needed, checked on the work of the fumigated, and, to my pleasant surprise helped move plants the day prior to the fumigation. Moving the plants took up about two and one-half hours of his time. He also returned late in the day that the tent came off and helped for another hour moving the plants back! Most pest control companies do not help moving plants, they just tell you what you need to move. Dan is a credit to the pest control industry and his fellow man. read more
