My child felt welcomed instantly despite being new. Lots of groups to join and opportunities to make new friends. I saw grades go from barely passing at the last school to honor roll grades at this one. The only negative things are getting in/out of the parking lot- it's a mess. The school website is pretty bad and could use some help to make it more user friendly. There is one lady in the office that seems particularly grouchy, and the schedules during finals week were beyond confusing. That being said, This is a great district to send your kids to. I wish we had moved here sooner.

Creative Child was recommended to me by a friend from church. She knows the director personally, because the director teaches Sunday school/religion classes to her child. When I first arrived, I was welcomed to take a tour of the center. The director was friendly and answered all of my questions. She reassured me and made me feel at ease. My 3 year old has been going there for 3 months. I couldn't be happier. The staff is wonderful and the director cares for the children there as if they were her own. My child did have a few issues adjusting and lashed out at her teacher, but we all met and figured out the best way to handle it. The director (and teacher) were very understanding and offered worked with us to resolve the issue. I couldn't imagine trusting anyone else with my child. I'm so glad for Creative Child!

Unless you have a very mild mannered 2-5 year old, who never acts out or misbehaves, I would not recommend this place. I wanted to pull her out for months but instead, kept working with them on things so I didn't have to add anymore changes to my daughter's life. Well, let's just say I wish I would've pulled her much sooner. The director also spoke to me as if I were a child, spoke to me poorly about my child and then behaved like a child once I gave my 2 week notice. Positive thing is most of the actual teachers are caring and have good programs for the children throughout the day.

I hope the staff and students at Appleton East realize what a special school they have here…read more Although I was never lucky enough to be raised in Appleton so I could attend this school, I was lucky enough to complete observation hours and student teaching here. Even though I can't offer a student perspective, I can still sing the praises of this school. What makes this school SO incredible is the sense of community. Everyone at East is proud to be a Patriot and everyone supports each other. For example, there are often different groups (sports teams, clubs, etc) who raise money for a certain charitable cause by selling t-shirts. Without fail, both staff and students will not fail to support that charitable cause by purchasing shirts. Solidarity is a word that comes to mind when I think of Appleton East. Everyone stands together and supports each other. If there is a problem, then it will not go ignored. For example, there have been meetings open to everyone to discuss bullying and there was a Words Hurt campaign where all students got involved. A very helpful way that teachers have gotten to know students better is through advisory classes where students are able to meet with the same advisory class and teacher two mornings a week for all four years. That is really a special thing and shows that the school prioritizes the student. Through advisory, students get another resource and advocate in their advisory teacher. One thing that makes East stick out a lot to me is how the school embraces technology. Every morning, students read news announcements, which is televised and broadcast to every classroom in the school. The kids do a great job with it, and it's an excellent tool for establishing a morning routine. Sometimes there are even commercials for different events, which are also student-created. Overall, it's clear that Appleton East High School is a special place where teachers truly care about their students not only in terms of their formal education, but also in terms of their entire being. Go Patriots!

Do not recommend…read more Not only does this school overcharge already, they will find anyway to get extra money. Their excuse is that they have started the program at the tech and they added on their own information so they are better and worth more. When discussing my concerns of payment with them, they were great, understanding, and caring; ready to assist me in any way possible. Once my application was in and the interview finished, everything changed. All of a sudden they could no longer accommodate me with flexible payments (we discussed that I'd be just returning home from a month long trip so money was limited). They agreed that if I made monthly payments and had everything paid off by the exam, I would be okay. After sending in my application fee and application, I reached out to discuss payment options and they decided that I was no longer eligible to this option. They wanted everything done the way it is on their site. This would be understandable had they just said this in the LIVE interview, but why wait for me to get invested to change things? After playing around with numbers I decided that I would need to go to the next session of February. I texted multiple times and they ignored me ( but on the site say that you can text ANYTIME). Finally, I decided to just email them, finally they sent me a canned/ automated email. When I asked for more clarification, they told me I had to start over. My application fee now is technically $100 should I decide to go ( definitely not), a new interview was needed, as well as another essay with letters of recommendation. If you need a school, go to one of the technical schools or Blue Sky in Green Bay. They have similar courses as well as cheaper prices, blue sky being the only exception to the price. 100% do not recommend this school as they have shown me they don't care already!

Hands down, FVSM provides the BEST education for Massage Therapy in Wisconsin. The program has…read moresmall classes, which means a higher level of education and personal attention. The program is demanding and intense, but it's because you cover so much material in less than a year! There's a reason all of their students pass the MBLEX exam (which is HARD) the first time around. By the time you complete the program, you have confidence and you really do know your stuff. Some students commute each week from hours away because this program is worth it. The instructors are phenomenal and I couldn't be happier with the education I received. Plus, they believe in a manageable tuition and a manageable schedule. All students graduate with ZERO tuition debt. Now that's saying something. If you're interested in becoming a Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor, Pilates, or Hooping, be sure to check them out. I highly recommend them to anyone serious about a career in Massage Therapy or other related fields.

See, usually I like to take advantage of gravity while skiing and zip through the slopes vertically. But hey, we're talking Wisco here and anyone who has skied out west is spoiled in regards to the downhill type. Enough complaining, I glided at a brisk pace cross country style (classic) through the beautiful Bubolz nature preserve, got a workout, and had a blast doing it! The Nature Preserve rentals are run strictly by volunteers, which all were very friendly and eager to help. My friends and I rented skis, boots, and poles for $15 per person. The equipment looked and felt pretty new. The boots were fleece lined and warm. A volunteer handed us a map on the way out and off we were on our adventure! Our group glided around the Wilderness Trail, which took a little over 2 hours including a couple picture ops. There were already ski tracks present, making classic skiing a lot easier. I could count the number of other skiers we passed on one hand; the bulk of the time it was peace and quiet with no one in ear shot. The scenery on the trail is gorgeous, bringing you through wooded areas, around a pond, and across a large field. The preserve snips the large branches that overhang the trails preventing a lot of skiers from doing the limbo. I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Bubolz on a beautiful day. If you can walk, you can cross country ski and if not snow shoeing is also an option. FYI $1 is tacked on to credit card users.
