They've been great to talk to over the phone and they'll give you a time and price estimate right when you call. You get a link to watch the truck drive to you with an estimated arrival time. The truck drivers are super nice and professional. They explain the total cost, what they're going to do, and give you a detailed receipt that explains everything. You can pay them directly with either card or credit, and they load your car right then and there. I wish I wasn't a repeat customer lol but they're really awesome!

It was no longer drivable. Although I kept my car pristine, it was an older vehicle that I figured would be totaled by the insurance company. Since the accident occurred at a major intersection, police were onsite. They called Stronghold Towing and the driver, David, arrived about 20 minutes after their call. David picked up my vehicle and towed it to his lot. He gave me his information to make arrangements to pick up my belongings. When I spoke to him the next day, David said that he could tell that I took care of my car. He also said that he was quite sure it would be totaled. Since I never had my car totaled before, he shared with me the process. This was helpful because I kept playing phone tag with the other driver's insurance company. They explained every step of the way, gave calls during the process of the paint prep and even gave me some options to take care of some other scratches I had on the car. When looking for a car shop, you worry about perfect paint match. Paint did look like it matched up just fine. I did find a few very small bubbles which isn't a big deal but as a car enthusiast, I would always have that in the back of my mind since it's not OG factory paint anymore. They also took care of adding more clips to secure the bumper more which I was missing and didn't know. The painter then came out and took some time to talk about my car and what was done which I liked a lot. That's good customer service. Only flaw I think they had when I picked up the car was my interior was very dusty, as if they left the windows down while painting and sanding down old paint. I had to detail my car once I got home and wiped every single part of my car down. Over all happy, 4/5 only because they left the interior a little dirty and I have asthma. Dust and asthma don't mix well. Thank you for doing my car quick and getting me back on the road!

Would not recommend. Took our car in for Maryland Safety Inspection and it failed because the…read moreparking brake did not hold the car. Was informed it needed new rear brake rotors for it to work, so we authorized $576 in work - $209 in parts for two new rotors and $354 in labor to replace rotors and adjust the parking brake cables. They informed us after that this did not fix the issue and that they adjusted the cables as much as they could. They said it would be an additional $876 to replace both cables - $176 for parts and $700 for labor. I asked what cables they are using and they confirmed they were the Febi Bilstein cables which you can buy a set of for $27.38 online. 530% parts markup. I asked them about this and they said they could drop the parts price to $140, which is still a 400% parts markup! The situation felt fishy so we did not authorize the work and picked up the car. I Googled how to adjust the parking brake on the car, clicked the first link, and followed the instructions. Cost me $0 in parts and was extremely easy and now the parking brake held. Took the car back to the shop for re-inspection and it passed. Either they are incompetent and do not know how to adjust a parking brake cable, even though I was able to do it myself quickly by following the first result on Google, or they are trying to make a quick buck, which seems very possible considering the 530% parts markup on the cable. At the end of the day they made $576 off of us (plus $110 for the inspection) replacing rear rotors that likely didn't need to be replaced to fix the issue anyways. Very glad we didn't authorize $876 in a "fix" that was not needed. At least they were very friendly... can't say I will be bringing any of our cars back here.

Staff was nice, but lacked haste. Often times, I had to reach out for updates after being told by…read moretheir team that I'd be reached out to that day (or days prior). The wrong parts were ordered, further delaying progress. It took 3 weeks after receiving a quote for them to start working on the car. It remained at their shop for another ~5-6 weeks - and the work still was not completed/ fully drive-able. Body work performed looks good, but all work internal to the car either a) did not get completed or b) had to be redone by my mechanics (who I ultimately had the car sent to to get it right). They tried to outsource electrical tasks to another shop, but it was punted back 2 weeks later with no progress. For example, I was charged for a new battery by Paintmasters that had to be replaced weeks later. My mechanic shop suspects the electrical issues I experienced with the car (which did not exist prior to leaving it with Paintmasters) may have been created due to lack of careful handling of battery and other electrical components within the car while welding and other grounding-adjacent tasks were being performed. Who knows (which in itself, is a problem)? I don't like giving out bad ratings, but the extra work that I needed performed downstream to my car after getting it back from them was not cool at all - and significantly decreased the value of what I paid for. Regardless, I paid (quite a bit) for services that were unsatisfactory.

They arranged a tow for the car to our chosen mechanic, and JWA towing was who came to the door. I have to say that the guy who came was phenomenal. He tried to start it and suggested maybe it was the battery. So I popped the hood and although the battery looked new, the wiring wasn't connected very snugly. He jiggled it a bit and the open door dinging sound came on. He was then able to start it, and get it onto the truck. Once it was on the truck he noticed that one of the tires had splitting rubber on the side. The dealer had painted it black so it wouldn't be as noticeable. His guy didn't have to mention these things, but after I explained that we were still in our 7 day Carvana return period he pointed out some things he noticed, and did it in a very humble way. When I spoke to my mechanic about what the car needed, guess what? The battery wiring was loose and the tire the tow guy had pointed out was splitting. So that verified even further that this guy knows cars! Thanks so much to this place, and for a kind and knowledgeable tow guy!!
