I shared my concerns and was heard. They took my girl back and got her in place. Then one started to tend to her nails and Jesse saw help was needed and immediately stepped in to hold my girl. Then a third person came in to help when they got to the front paws. There was a large dog barking, surely in response to my dog's nerves energy, Jesse asked for the groomer to take the dog to the back to help create a calmer experience. It helped and only two were needed to get the job done after that. I can not say enough about the staff I encountered on this random Thursday for a nail trim. I am beyond impressed with their kindness and professionalism. I am forever grateful. I will be back.

They recently started adding the cutest little gemstone accents to the dogs' ears (done safely, of course), and my girl Faith is absolutely living for it! She prances out of the salon with bows, bling, and a whole new attitude--and it's so cute that she even keeps her bows in her toy box and brings them to me so I'll put them back on and tell her how pretty she is. Jessy continues to be the absolute best. He always finds a way to fit Faith in and treats her like royalty. His gentle, kind nature as a groomer is unmatched--Faith adores him, and so do I! Every time we go in, we're treated with kindness, consistency, and real professionalism. We had so much trouble finding a groomer that would return our calls in the last several months that we ended up buying two grooming kits from Amazon and our poor little doggie looked like he was a beauty school test case. I was so thrilled to hear about Wildflower Pet Spa opening in the Broadripple/Glendale area, and was even more thrilled when Tami returned my call as quickly as she did and got him in for a grooming appointment. When we brought him in he was an absolute mess. Tami worked with him often on throughout an entire day, fitting him in between other doggies in order to give him some time to rest and remain calm. He's blind and it takes him a little while to warm up to a new groomer... But Tami was incredibly patient with him. I have since been back a second time and had an equally wonderful experience. She was kind, flexible highly skilled, and did a great job maintaining communication with us throughout the day about timing. I would recommend this place to anyone! As a bonus, if you pay in cash there is a small discount applied to your service, it may be 3%? Don't quote me on that, but it is something to ask about.

I get that the owner must prefer animals-- but since animals aren't going to walk in on their own, human skills are also needed. Those are not skills this owner possesses. Her organizational skills are lacking also. When I spoke to her assistant to schedule the first time, I asked for a fax number to send the boys vaccinations, and after taking the time to do that, this woman had no idea how to access her faxes for some reason, and I had to bother my vet's office again. I took my two teacup Pomeranians here ONE time. One of my poms had a pretty, full coat when he went in, and when he came out, half of it was gone. I specifically asked that he not be trimmed too much. My husband thought we should give the groomer another chance. When I came for a second time, and asked her not to cut it short like last time, she argued with me, swearing she didn't cut it short. Now maybe she defines "short" as shaved to the skin or something, but his hair was so much shorter, that we had to put him in a harness one size smaller. Never had that with another groomer. Not only that, but however she cut his hair, it is not growing back. She basically wrecked his coat, and is trying to blame the dog, saying he has "coat funk" (which our vet says is made up groomer jargon). Rather than blaming the dog, all this woman needed to do was to listen to me when I told her not to cut too much of my dog's hair off. Instead, she had to be right, and had to have the last word. She refused to listen, was rude, and kept repeatedly using this term "coat funk." The final straw was when she said "I didn't give your dog coat funk." No lady, you gave him the crappiest hack job of a hair cut he's ever had, and wrecked his coat. You did that. Not the dog. And I will let everyone know that this is the last place to take a dog you care about. If your dog has any kind of double coat, I advise you to go elsewhere. If you have any special instructions you want implemented, go elsewhere. If you want to be listened to, go elsewhere. You and your dog deserve better.

I stressed that I did not want them to shave her hair down close to her skin. She did have some matting, which I told them about when dropping her off, but they told me they could work with it. I also asked that her face be rounded, but they did not trim her face AT ALL. She had long bangs that hung over her eyes and they didn't even touch them, just put them in bows. She had 1 mat on top of her head and they shaved her head in that one spot and left the rest of it long. It looked absolutely ridiculous :( My husband and I had to cut her bangs ourselves when we got home just so she could SEE. They had her from 4:15pm - 7:30pm and I don't think they even gave her a bath. She didn't smell like shampoo and she still had dirt in her tail (which had also not been trimmed) Her nails were poorly cut so they were still sharp and long, one of them split in half at the tip? We think that because they were busy, they kept her in a kennel for the majority of the time and then rushed to finish her so they could go home. We will not be coming back and I do not recommend you bring your babies here.

My husband let them know while booking what breed we had. One would hope that they would do some research or, at the very least as to look at one of our pictures. I'm at a loss for what happened here. It's clear looking at the before and after's that they clearly didn't do even the slightest due diligence. Our Lagotto now looks like???? IDK...a doodle??? A poodle??? I'm completely at a loss for words and, again, frustrated by how long it will take for him to look like he should.
