This is more of a grocery store than a restaurant, so don't expect to dine in. Everything is to go. Fridays used to be my go-to days for their pulled pork sandwiches. The pork is still amazing, but I actually preferred the cheaper buns they used to make the sandwich with. I still pop in on Fridays for their sausage rolls or pizza. Lastly, the people running it are absolutely lovely. Always feel good stopping by, and I recommend you do too for their cinnamon rolls, salads, sandwiches, or produce.

So many pizza boxes coming out of the restaurant and taken to go. Dads pushing their toddlers in strollers while feeding them bites of gourmet pizza. So many delivery orders picked up by confused food delivery drivers who were tersely greeted with exasperation and a finger pointing at the restaurant counter. My pastry was so delightful that I got a second pastry, girella crema e mandorla (almond and pastry cream filled croissant). Before leaving I bought some spreads and freshly baked breads which I used to prepare Italian sandwiches.

When I walk into Bruno's, I see a clean and organized deli/butcher, with knowledgeable staff and skilled butchers. Bruno's has an open concept, so you can actually look through a window and watch them chop up your meat. When I walk in, I also see dry-aged prime rib in a special dry-aging compartment. Once I asked about the price, and the reply was, "Do you REALLY want to know??" Ok, fair enough, I was wearing my everyday clothes and probably looked like I couldn't even afford a sausage. I'll get my husband to go in there, on his way home from work, and see if he can buy a single rib Dry Aged Prime Rib for me to prepare for a Mother's Day gift. Meanwhile, I bought something more economical ....but still kind of luxe. I bought an entire striploin on sale. The price was actually only $1 more than No Frills, and I got 12 steaks!! That will certainly last us a while. After laying 3 aside for our evening meal, I tossed the rest in the freezer.
