I've been going to Contact for several years now and this review is past due. I've looked around…read moreat a few gyms during that time and decided that Contact was well worth it. If you were to look at yoga studios in town, for the same price you will not only get a yoga studio, but a fitness facility and rock climbing! They also have free classes to members like a fitness class and other helpful classes. My favorite part about this gym is the vibe. Very friendly staff, management and people at the gym. They have a friendly atmosphere and so many people are willing to connect and be helpful for new people or people wanting to climb with someone. You won't find any "gym bro" type people. They are constantly changing climbing routes, so you will never get bored! I also appreciate they don't have hidden fees or contracts. If you want to pause your membership at anytime you can (for a nominal fee) as this avoids the signup fee. Definitely recommend!

Since we were unable to obtain tickets to Zion, we came upon Contact Climbing Gym while searching…read morefor other ways to spend our last day here in Southern Utah. It has been months since I've had the opportunity to climb, and I definitely felt it on the wall today. Everything was hard! I wish we caught the name of the staff member who helped us because she was fantastic! As she was checking us off for top rope, she immediately recognized that one of us was experienced while the other was not, and she offered some gratuitous and helpful advice to my partner. She also gave me some great recommendations on local outdoor spots to check out. Thank you! In terms of the climbing, this place is solid. There are top rope, lead, bouldering, and a training area. The setting was just right, and everything is still clean and new. One complaint that my partner had was the difficulty with belaying with the large-diameter static rope, but I found this to be pretty standard in gyms for longevity. Aside from the slab wall, you may need to put a little extra "oomph" in your belay on top rope. I didn't get to lead, as my partner has no experience in this, but watching some of the other climbers, the routes looked to flow well. We came on a weekday afternoon, and it was nearly empty! However, we were told that a few weeks ago, people had to be turned away because it was jam packed after the snow. I can certainly see this being a very busy gym. If I lived in St. George, then I'd definitely have a membership here. The pricing is excellent, and this gym has a lot to offer, including yoga and a fitness area. Even today, I saw a number of people just sitting on their computers, probably doing work with the free wifi. Furthermore, the locker rooms are clean, and they offer quality feminine products at no charge! If you're in the area, come get some fun and challenging climbs in at Contact!

As a result, we were charged for an additional month in November. During that time, we were traveling and unable to use the additional 8 classes we each paid for. The manager at the time informed us that our unused classes could be extended until the end of the year. However, that manager is no longer at this location, and the new manager told me there is nothing they can do and that we are simply out of luck. This has been very disappointing and does not reflect good customer service. We paid for classes we were told would be honored, and now we are being told otherwise. New management/ownership appears unwilling to offer any reasonable accommodation or compensation. Given this experience, I will not be recommending this location to friends or neighbors.

Pilates would simply provide needed exercise in the winter, that's it, nothing more. My wonderful plan quickly blew up. I absolutely love Pilates, specifically Club Pilates, & each of the instructors (& the other members!) THAT MUCH!! Who knew exercise could be so amazing?! Each instructor brings her own personality & makes working out fun, interesting & leaves me looking forward to the next class. After just a couple months, my posture is improving, my body feels better, I'm getting stronger from head to toe & having a fantastic time! Pilates (on the reformer) has actually surpassed swimming & water exercise in my book, which is saying something. I'm planning to continue as long as I live.

Fascia Class-Valerie taught the class and it was definitely challenging. I love the concept of this class and the release that happens from this style of rolling. Val is an excellent instructor. She keeps it light and fun. Her style is perfect and it seems everyone feels comfortable in these challenging fascia release movements. Aerial Yoga-Karlene is an incredible instructor. I've taken aerial in the past, at another studio, and this was the experience that I've been seeking. I loved the flow. It was gentle, yet challenging. Karlene also gives detailed instruction and guidance so I knew exactly what I should be doing, while protecting my body. I encourage everyone to take a class with Karlene. I wish I had a Karlene in my town!

The heat in the room was incredible; it got very hot, which I personally really enjoyed and felt added to the practice. I also loved his choice of music. That said, I did struggle with a few aspects of the class. It was very difficult to hear the instructor which made it hard to follow along, everyone was looking around to see what we needed to be doing. The instructor would slam his hands on the ground and the frequent slamming was jarring and distracting. There were repeated pauses to watch demos which often pulled me out of my flow. I also found it challenging to fully relax in savasana as he talking the entire time, which made it hard to end the practice in a restorative way. Overall, I really appreciated the heat and the cleanliness of the space. With clearer instruction delivery and a bit more space for stillness at the end, I think this could have been a much better experience.

Booking a facial at this "spa" will go down in history as one of the worst decisions of my life…read more When you arrive, there is no area to relax or change, you simply walk through a sweaty gym locker room directly into a crowded and cluttered service room. The room where we scheduled to get my facial was full of multiple chairs, and pieces of equipment; the table was crammed up against the wall and felt like a freezing cold gurney. I scheduled a 50 minute facial with an enzyme peel and specifically asked that nothing stronger be substituted based on my skin care regimen. Aesthetician ignored my concerns and requests, and without further discussion used a full strength chemical peel that has resulted in severe chemical burns in multiple places on my case. Even as the peel was on, I told her I did not feel right and it hurt too much (I have had several peels in the past) and my concerns were completely ignored. She told me what I was seeing was "frosting" which is normal; no, what I was seeing was my skin peeling off of my face within minutes because the burns were so significant. The pain and disfigurement from the facial right now prevents me from working for several days and will take intensive dermatologic care to correct. Aesthetician was rude, reckless, and should be let go immediately. What happened afterwards Made things even worse. I was supposed to have another service 30 minutes later, but could not get anything to eat on the resort because every restaurant was closed. I asked the next provider be notified that I could step off of the resort and find some food for the first time that day - instead the entire service was canceled. This was truly the worst spa experience of my entire life. The only way to salvage this place would be to raze it to the ground and clean house from the aestheticians, to the front desk, to the management. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and never feels overcrowded. There's a great variety of equipment, so whether you're lifting, doing cardio, or taking classes, you're covered. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming--they make you feel comfortable no matter your fitness level. The trainers are especially great at offering help without being pushy, which I really appreciate. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It's motivating without being intimidating, and you can tell people here are focused on improving themselves. Definitely worth the membership and highly recommended if you're looking for a solid, all-around athletic club.

I compared it directly to my driver's license signature and they do not match. I never signed a 3-year contract. I raised this in writing, REPEATEDLY, and asked for it to be investigated. SAC never addressed it. Instead, every response focused exclusively on relocation paperwork, demanding a new driver's license or a utility bill in my exact name, while ignoring the fact that I was disputing the validity of the contract itself. My utility bill was under my husbands name, after showing our leasing agreement with BOTH of our names, this was NOT accepted. I provided a signed lease showing my new address from the very first email. It wasn't enough. Four more months of dues were charged while this dragged through "senior management review." While they kept charging me, and never refunded. When I asked for a refund for the months I paid while this was being disputed (and not using the gym), I was told membership dues aren't based on usage and the charges stand. I have been back and forth with them for MONTHS, they should've refunded be for how long this process took, because all of the dragging this along, was in fact on them. Even though I have been pushing to cancel my membership for MONTHS. The unauthorized signature was never addressed or investigated at any point in this process. At no point did anyone investigate, acknowledge, or even meaningfully respond to the unauthorized signature. DO NOT go here, they will forage your signature to make more commission off of the sale. Then you are LOCKED in.
