Some advice, if you're going to give your credit card to a company that practices like this, is to make sure you block them with your credit card company after your membership is up. ( the following is a reply to the reply from one life) Hi Kelly, I think it might be wise to get some facts straight before you reply. Your regional manager never "explained" anything. After looking through the internal notes of the account, the general manager thought I should be refunded. But he could not authorize such a large refund and had to kick it up the chain to the regional manager. After many attempts, the regional manager essentially ignored the flagged requests from the general manager. So please, do your due diligence and look through the internal notes on the account. I don't judge a company by the mistakes they make, but how they fix them.

They also seemed responsive to their member surveys and it seemed like my suggestions for improvement were actually taken into account based on the changes I observed. I typically went during the mornings and found that I rarely had to wait for equipment, which is always a plus. Better experience here than most gyms I have been to.

If you look at most large gyms with a marketing crew, they always use bold and bright colors; not dull and dingy colors. The former owner had a nice yellow/gold tone that went well with the rest of the gym--see pics that show this on website. The wood counters clash with the baby blue. Other than the ugly color, the gym is same as it was before. A good amount of nautilus equipment and cardio for a decent workout. Hopefully the audio equipment for the machines will be replaced. They used to have a distorted sound and you had to plug in your headphones just right. I have not listened to them since re-joining, but it's the same old stuff there. Many variations of "pride gets in the way of progress" and "it never gets easy" seemed to be a common response. I love that!
