The front entrance has a security/ front desk that provided exact location of the clinic because its a big building and I looks like its easy to get lost in there in my opinion. Typical waiting even with an appointment. Clinic looks new, neat and clean. Good customer service from front desk person. Looks like a fast paced busy clinic based on the people in the waiting area. There is a small tv but is off, it would be nice if there is a big tv or multiple tvs so people won't get bored waiting. We were called around 7:20 for a 7:00 appointment. During our brief visit, Dr Kofoed was pleasant, calm, not rushing, showed the photo of the xray and able to explain everything we need to know. I was able to schedule the next follow up appointment and will update the next experience based on that.

His office staff was also very helpful and pleasurable to work with.

I took 2 Benadryl, 800mg Motrin and 1 Norco, left over from my diverticulitis. Nothing touched that pain. They say it is quick, but it feels like an eternity. Slight cramping, it's nothing like any cramps I ever had. I had 3 babies with no screaming. That pain is so agonizing, that I can't even begin to describe it. I would try and find a dr. who will at least give you a twilight sleep. If you can't, then I would definitely have Dr Lin do it. He is very skilled, afterwards I didn't experience heavy bleeding or severe cramps, like most do. I would have given him 5 stars, but I can't handle that level of pain, awake. I am sure he is excellent with other medical issues.

Witnessed discrimination against patient with disabilities. The second the RN saw the patient, she…read morewas rolling her eyes, complaining, had a major attitude. The team explained that they called multiple times ahead of the appointment to explain the condition, what exactly would be needed and ensure it was an appropriate setting. The doctor scheduled to conduct the procedure had already evaluated the patient in-person and personally referred them to this center for her to complete it. Patient did absolutely nothing wrong, other than needing some assistance from their team, and a full team was present to work with them to ensure the Sutter staff didn't have to worry about anything. The RN immediately complained and was openly talking negatively about the patient in the hallway so the team denied service without even trying or consulting the patients team. Even after the reiteration that the procedure was urgent due to life threatening concerns and having a history of successful procedures with no issues, they refused service based on the fact they had disabilities that they were well aware of ahead of time. Very disheartening to see professionals in a field meant to help others be so discriminatory and hateful.

He made sure his staff (who are right on it with efficiency), got my husband's time sensitive surgery approved in lightening speed (which was necessary for the best outcome). He saw to it that my husband received above board after care by him as well for months, while going through physical therapy he prescribed by a fantastic team. Dr. Pathare takes a sincere & personal interest in his patients and has a superior post surgery aftercare follow-up protocol, far exceeding any I've ever seen & I've had several sports and non-sports related surgeries by top notch physicians in my day. This was my husband's first ever surgical experience & based on Dr. Pathare exceptional skill & care, it's opened the door for my previously resistant husband to address other health issues he had pushed aside. Thank you Dr. Pathare for the best care & outcome one could ever hope for. I would not hesitate having Dr.Pathare do surgery on me, friends or any of my loved ones in my world.

The nurses' professionalism, standard of care and compassion is second to none. The doctors are honest and patient in answering all questions. This is not your standard hospital. This is a military hospital where the staff works hard here despite other competing priorities such as military obligations. They also worked during shutdowns. Definitely an all star health care facility.

Extremely Disappointing Experience With the LASIK Department…read more I am extremely disappointed with the way my LASIK surgery process was handled. As a soldier, I understand that medical procedures have strict eligibility requirements and that a patient can ultimately be found ineligible. What I do not understand is the way this situation was communicated and handled from beginning to end. Prior to my appointment, I was informed that the slight deviation in my eye could potentially result in disqualification. I understood that this was a possibility and was prepared for the procedure to be denied if the medical evaluation determined that I was not a candidate. However, after traveling approximately seven hours to the facility based on being told that my surgical packet had been approved, I was given a completely different explanation. Upon arrival, I was told that the deviation was not simply a potential disqualifying factor--it was apparently too severe for them to operate on. I was then informed that I would never be able to have eye surgery. That is an extremely significant conclusion to give a patient, especially after previously communicating something substantially different. If the condition was severe enough to make me permanently ineligible for eye surgery, that should have been clearly communicated before I was told my packet was approved and before I made a seven-hour trip. The only additional communication I received was an abrupt phone call from an optometrist who identified herself as Ms. Wang. The only instruction I was given was essentially, "Stop rubbing your eyes." I was not provided with a clear explanation of what had changed, why my previous information was different, or why I was suddenly being considered permanently ineligible. What was particularly frustrating was that the surgeon would not even speak with me directly to explain the decision. Instead, I was left dealing with an individual who was extremely argumentative and disrespectful in the way they communicated with me. Rather than treating me like a patient who was simply asking legitimate questions about a major medical decision, I was spoken to in a condescending manner, almost as if I did not understand the most basic concepts being discussed. I was not asking anyone to perform a procedure that was medically unsafe. I was asking for a reasonable explanation of why I was previously told my packet was approved, why the determination changed upon arrival, and why I was now being told that I could never have eye surgery. Those are completely reasonable questions for a patient to ask. The seven-hour drive made the situation even more unacceptable. This was not a minor inconvenience. I spent significant time, fuel, and effort traveling based on information provided to me by the department. If there were unresolved medical concerns that could result in permanent disqualification, those concerns should have been addressed before I was told I was approved and instructed to report for surgery. The biggest issue here is not that I was ultimately found to be a poor candidate for surgery. Medical professionals have every right to determine that a procedure is unsafe. The issue is the lack of consistent communication, the apparent change in explanation, the absence of a meaningful solution, and the disrespectful manner in which my questions were handled. I would strongly encourage the LASIK department to reevaluate how it communicates surgical approvals and disqualifications to soldiers. Patients deserve accurate information before traveling significant distances, and they deserve to have major medical decisions explained to them by qualified medical professionals--not dismissed, talked down to, or left without answers
