Had a very pleasant experience getting my windshield replaced here. Called on a Thursday and they were able to both confirm that my specific windshield was available and set me up for an appointment next day. I had to drop my vehicle off during work, but they offered complimentary shuttle to and from work without hesitation. Freddy Jr. himself even gave me a ride on one of the trips and was very friendly and easy to talk to. It's been a few weeks now and the new windshield has held up great. While mowing, I kicked up a hidden PADLOCK (of all things) that flew into my kitchen window and broke it. I called 4-5 businesses with no luck. They all said it would be a week before anyone could even come out. My neighbor suggested Freddy's. They were very friendly on the phone and had someone out THAT AFTERNOON to measure and give me a price, which was very fair by the way. I'm thankful I found them! Fernando was very efficient and extremely friendly at my house, I didn't get the other gentleman's name, but they were a great team. Easy breezy. We took screens in to be repaired and it took double the time they said it would take and when we went in to check on them because we hadn't heard from them, they hadn't even touched them. Actually they did because when we took them and asked for our money back, I noticed that one screen was torn that wasn't torn before. She said they were waiting on material but we just went to Home Depot and got the material ourselves and got it done. Which is what we should have done in the first place. I get it, they don't make much money on screens but now that this happened and before we took a door in to replace the glass (which was extremely expensive) and they were rude when we did that, we'll never go back there. So they lost our future business and we restore homes personally and professionally. Do better guys! read more

Windscreen bullseye chip repair less than 3/4". They take NO pride in their work. My small bullseye chip is now full of air bubbles, and they messed up the resin. When I said something about the job, they say "we told you it will still be visible" to justify this. Yeah I know that chips are visible after repair.. it's not my first repair. This is different, they're just hiding behind that line to excuse their poor quality work. Should have just done it myself rather then to have paid Freddy's. Now I have to look at that botch job everyday. read more

Quote given me over the phone was based upon the VIN# given Freddy's. That price increased 50% later that day via a VM siting "a misunderstanding with our supplier." Really? With a VIN number? After filling out a form for Glass Doctor, waiting forever for an estimate, which can only be characterized as painful, full of, "this job is really hard, might have to remove some trim" and then never receiving an estimate, we called Freddy's. We heard good things. They came out, gave an estimate, ordered it and two craftsman came out and in thirty minutes the job was done. Yes, they carefully removed some trim but windows in my wife's office now look great. This is the firm for glass in the Waco area. Highly recommended. read more

Have a bad taste in my mouth about these guys. I got a estimate to have the windshield on my 2013 Volvo. I got quotes $1,400 to have the new windshield installed. After waiting on my insurance check come in, I got back a hold of Freddie's glass to have the windshield installed. I was told that they were no longer able to get that brand anymore. The new total would be 1800. Then after numerous calls to get it in for the repair with no call back I got fed up and ended up calling Volvo of Dallas. For a Volvo original windshield I payed 801.00. This was 1,000.00 cheaper than the aftermarket windshield from Freddie's glass. On top of I had them do my 2012 BMW windshield replaced back in 2013 and the rain sensor didn't work after the new windshield was installed by Freddie's Long story short - overpriced, change quotes after insurance is quoted, and one car wasn't done right. read more

Just awful. Very unresponsive and outright rude. Their billing department is a nightmare to deal with. I remodel 20 homes per yr that all get new glass work. They where 2 weeks late on a project and it cost $200 to reschedule my photos 3 times and they refused to take the money off my bill. Keep in mind that I spend over 100k per yr in glass! Three months ago I had a chip repaired at Freddys... it was in a borrowed vehicle that I was using from a buddy of mine. Ny buddy let me use his truck again today and I noticed that the chip repair was cracking. I brought it back to Freddys and not only did they confirm that they could stop the crack ...they did it... they squeeze me in during their lunch hour and they didn't charge me for it! Freddy's started a repair job for us in February and told us parts needed to be ordered. With the pandemic, we let things slide for a while. Last week I called to see if they had received the parts and, if so, to see if they would finish the repair. service here is bad, seems as though the owners only want to deal with the big $$$.. No chairs even in the office building! Get in, get out, maybe we'll call you this week.. Or not. I do not think they employ many buyers because they take very long to find parts. Didn't use yelp until i complained about this place to a friend and they said to leave a yelp.. I have used Freddy's Glass for various glass needs over the years. I started using them when they were in the old building on Franklin Ave. Every time I call they are gracious and concerned with helping me with what ever I need. From an expensive seamless glass shower, to replacing a windshield, to a $25 mirror, they have always treated me like an important customer. I've never been here to have my glass fixed, but when the owner saw me outside of his store stranded with a flat tire, he sent one of his guys out to help me change out my tire no charge. Had very frustrating experience at Freddy's yesterday. Have gone to them for years. But made appointment with receptionist for yesterday at 12 pm. She said " it will be about 3 hours" total to have your car ready. That's great. Called at 2:45 to check on my car that I dropped off at 11:45 to make sure on time. She said it wasn't ready . I had to pick up my kids at school at 3:30. Had to find another way. I asked why - receptionist said ---The technicians go to lunch from 12-1 so your car was started when they got back. Ok, I get that. But don't make 12pm appointments and tell people about 3 hours if your car is going to sit there. She seemed to not really care. Spoke with Rodney and he apologized. But nothing when I arrived to get car....No sorry for confusion from receptionist when I got there. Nothing. Just pay and leave. Got in my car at after getting it at 4 pm and the 2 stickers that I asked the receptionist to tell technicians not to put back on my window because they wouldn't work after removal- and I was getting replacement ones...were both on window! Had to peel them off myself and scrap with a straight blade. Can't say I'll recommend Freddy's again. read more

Had an appointment to have a window replaced in a residence. No one showed up or called. Wasted an entire day waiting.

I took my F-250 4 door pick-up to Freddy's Glass in Waco. I had opened the sun roof, and it would not close. I took it to the Ford dealer in my hometown ( not Waco). I ask them if they could not fix it right away, to close it because I needed to use the truck. When I went to pick up my truck the sun roof was almost closed, they told me that was as good as they could close it and charged me $335.00. Also I was told that the parts and labor to repair my truck would be $1,645.00. I got to Waco, went to Freddy's this morning, they looked at it and said they could help me. They called me after 4 hours and said it was ready. They charged me $450.00, it works great, Great job Freddy's read more
