ZERO STARS UNAVAILABLE!…read more While traveling north on I45 I was passed by 2 BC Construction gravel haulers, both uncovered, and the second was dropping gravel out. My windshield was struck twice, one small chip and one very large that immediately spidered and spread across my windshield. I grabbed my camera and took photos of the vehicle, it's license plate, the DOT numbers and phone number on the door. I contacted their office and was directed to a Carol Stone in their Hewitt, Tx office. She was professional and sent me a claim form to fill out. I did so the very next day, and sent it to her with the photos showing the vehicle and and it's uncovered trailer. Approximately 2 weeks later, and multiple calls from me asking if they would reimburse me for the new windshield, she emailed me stating they could not as their drivers log showed him to be hauling empty at the time if the incident and it was considered a road hazard. End of story. I think that this is a cheap way out of being responsible for the damage caused to my vehicle. I don't care if it was 10,000 rocks or 1 rock in that trailer, it us an UNCOVERED LOAD and their negligence led to me buying a new windshield. This was NOT rocks kicked up from the road, they were clearly falling from the trailer. Though I doubt this review will have any impact on their policies, but I feel it is a shady practice and be forewarned! Crappy way of handling things!!
