Well from the outside this place looks like a nice trendy bar that wouldn't go astray in the back alleys of the CBD ,at first look of the menu I though pizza pasta bar but then a lonely Rib Eye black Angus steak caught my eye , (do I risk it , after all it is a pizza pasta restaurant ) well I dove in feet first ... Entree - Mushroom Arnichini balls , well what a treat (these alone would make me want to come back again ) , then onto my steak M//R , expectations were average as the price was up there , well i must say , very pleased , steak served hot and with the lay out of a fine dining restaurant, a hotpot of shiitake mushrooms and potatoes were spot on , a nice cold tap beer from mountain got and I was set for t evening If I had one complaint and that would be the noise , as the place got busier the voices bounced around the walls but a small price to pay for a well cooked read more

This is my favorite local cafe! It has awesome food, lovely staff, excellent customer service and is very reasonably priced. There are tables out the front on the footpath, room inside and also a private court yard. It is well maintained and modern inside and always looks and smells nice and clean. It is conveniently located directly opposite Carrum Railway Station in the group of shops there. If you are a local to the Patterson Lakes/Carrum area and you have not tried this place, do yourself a favour and the next coffee or meal (breakfast or lunch) you are having with family or friends - give this one a go. Although I still attend other cafes locally, this is by far my favorite. I have eaten there probably a dozen times or so and each time I have not left disappointed! read more

Went here recently with my wife and parents for lunch. Food was fantastic and service was great, until we went to pay however. My father was a bit shocked to find how much it had come to and went back to check with the staff, we had been charged for take away coffees left on our table by another customer just leaving the store and charged an additional 3% surcharge on our bill. The coffees were refunded but when questioning the surcharge was told that it was a service charge as they have the same prices for both eat in and take away. This surcharge was not specified on the menu, nor was it brought to our attention by our server or displayed anywhere else in the cafe. When pushed further my father was told it would be on the new menus and it is also printed on the receipt (which wasn't given to him). We told him that this is not legal. We were not given back our money or even apologized to. It may only be a few dollars but sadly this experience has turned us off returning to a local cafe. read more
