Was in the area visiting family and overheard a manager telling a 7 month pregnant cashier to drink less water because her bathroom breaks were a pain to deal with. I can't wait to see that woman sue the store because she has a miscarriage. Let alone the fact that its illegal to limit a persons bathroom breaks. Just surprises me that they have let a manager be around that will not only cause harm to a unborn baby but also put there store in danger of serious legal problems. read more

If I could give less stars I would. The deli manager is disgusting! He has a big nasty beard that the beard net barely covers. He treats his workers like crap! He was stocking the cheese display seemed oblivious to the customers waiting to be helped. When I looked at him he quickly looked away. At this point he barked at an older lady in the back to come up to help at the counter. The poor thing looked flustered and told him she was making a sandwich for a customer. Fred Meyer I love going here as it is huge. It is like a super Walmart, but with better selection. The place is very clean too. We bought a lottery ticket for the scratchers, but did not win a thing. The only problem is we could not find where to buy the souvenirs. But you can pretty much find everything here though and the prices are okay just a typical and retail for the most part. read more

Sort of a one-stop Shop in this small town, Fred Meyer has a little bit of everything. Clothes, shoes, groceries, home goods, etc. Because of the amount of items available in one store, there aren't a TON of options in terms of brands, etc. But the cashiers have always been nice and prices seem fair. They have a kid zone where you can drop off the kiddos while you shop! read more

This review is for the customer service, particularly an assistant manager named Tammy. I was visiting the area, and purchased some clothes. First off, the store is large, bright and well organized. The prices were great, including a sale and additional in-store coupon. Upon arriving home in California, I discovered that two items were the wrong size for my daughter. So, there are no Fred Meyers in California, and the "800" number customer service wasn't able to help. They suggested I call the store. :-/ Well, that's where it got good. Tammy was awesome, and said just mail her the item, and she would "take care of the rest". So i invested $7.12 of postage, and mailed off the package. A week later, a FedEx truck pulled up, and delivered me the correct exchange. Tammy even wrote me a very nice personal note. Not only that, but there was an additional sale going on, and I received a $10.19 gift card that I can use at several local stores affiliated with Fred Meyers! This is the type of personal attention and customer service that is "above and beyond", and you don't see it too much these days. Thanks, Tammy. you're the best. read more

Stopped to get propain and waited for 10 minutes. When we never even received a hello we left. As we were an attendant told another sitting in the booth that we were leaving. Then as we drove by the attendant who was ignoring us came and and loudly told the other young man "I was coming out". I'm truly amazed that a lot of the older employees that work there are so incredibly rude. It almost feels like they're annoyed that we ask or expect help. This is the second bad experience we've had there since we've moved to Tillamook. I'd rather drive further just to be treated like better than shop there. read more

I'm a HUGE fan of Freddie's, I do all my shopping here at home. The Fred Meyer in Tillamook was ok, the donut selection for a Sunday morning was not great, and I had to wait 5 minutes to get a hash brown pattie from the deli because the lady was cleaning something? The bathrooms were pretty nice which was important considering I had to basically shower in it. The real reason I'm writing this review is because my husband and I had to spend the first night of our honey moon in the Fred Meyer parking lot in our rental car. It was a safe spot and it appeared others were doing the same. Not sure why all coastal hotels in a 50 mile radius were sold out, but they were and this is where we ended up staying. Hey... That's what you get for road tripping without a plan on your honey moon right :). So if your ever stuck in this situation, this Fred Meyer parking lot is a good location to get a good nights rest in your car. read more

We made a quick stop in here because my husband was determined to find a fishing vest and was sure he would find one in Tillamook. Well, we didn't find one here, but we were impressed with this large store. We don't have these in California!! It's like Kohl's, Super Wal-Mart (with groceries), and Bed Bath and Beyond all on one. We go here once a week for grocery shopping...it's an ok store but doesnt have the greatest selection of things, especially their house brand soda...would it kill them to stock grape and strawberry?...the customer service is acceptable, but the people don't really smile much...I don't either so it's odd seeing it in other people...the prices aren't any better than Safeway unless things are on sale in which case you might get some good deals...Their magazine/book section is a joke...I do like the DVD section, just wish I had the money to spend in it...and the parking situation is for the birds...small spaces and ignorant,dopey hillbillies who don't know how to drive are all over the place...One bright spot is the jewelery section...I got my watch a new battery there a while back and was impressed both with the price and the service...excellent work... read more

When fueling they don't ask you for your discount card. Not everybody is from OR. I have Smiths card and could have saved over $2.50 on my fill up or earned points. Girl pumping gas was not very friendly or helpful. To worried about getting back into shack to yack with her friend. read more

Purchased some pork ribs 2 days before Memorial Day weekend and they looked real good right up until I went to BBQ them. When we opened the package the meat was rotten, but it looked nice and pink. THIS A REVIEW OF THE JEWELRY DEPARTMENT in the store. I needed to replace the battery in my Movado watch. The department was busy, but they said it would be about twenty minutes. I returned and they put in a new battery and gave my watch an evaluation even though they do not carry the brand They did all of this for $16.95 less than half of what Ben Bridge charges! The staff at Fred Myers was much pleasanter and more helpful than at most other jewelry stores. Kudos all around to them!!!! read more

Amy Mills, the person in charge at Tillamook Fred Meyers says: "We understand there is a problem but we have no intent to change the policy" Two days in a row I have tried to enter the Tillamook fred meyers and found the gas station line extending through and beyond the entry from the street. Apparently they have decided on a "one direction only" policy with their gas pumps. People were trying to find a way through but had to guess about the outgoing traffic, taking a left in the entry, passing the cars waiting for gas while people are trying to leave the store. I called in and explained the problem, pointing the obvious inevitability of a collision due to these circumstances. This is the response I just recieved when I questioned the policy of "one direction only" fred meyer gas station to the self identified Amy Mills: "We have no plans to change the policy" I wonder if the plantiff in the lawsuit from the inevitable car crash will bring up this post in the court case where they sue the pants off fred meyers? If you folks at fred meyers are interested in the details, call me at xxxxxxxxx, or perhaps I can just testify for the other side? read more

This is an amazing store. I cannot tell you how much I like coming here. They have everything you need, like the new HP laptop, and even what you don't need, like the ASUS VivoBook Max. It is overall a great store, and you should go shopping there whenever possible. read more

I like this store. Most of the staff are friendly and try to help. There are a few that tend to see through you when they walk past you, but most are ok. The cashiers all seem to be very friendly. Something that impresses me is that when their checkout lines get backed up, it is not uncommon for one of the helpers to latch on to you and open up a closed checkstand. Totally unlike Safeway that seems to let customers back up to Mars before one of them takes the time to call out an APB for checkers. Randy the Manager is always friendly and it appears he is very hands on in his management style. You are just as likely to see him restocking the shelves, sorting replacing returns etc as opposed to the type that hides in their office. Another Stand Out at the store is a young man named Bradley. This young gentleman is exceptional in his desire to help everybody that he can, and with a huge genuine smile! Bradley is usually found in the Housewares and Garden section. I am typically what would be considered a retired "Grumpy Old Fart" but this young man causes me to place a little faith in our younger generation. Freddy's better take notice of this outstanding young man and not let him slip away! Other than a little high priced in their seafood and meats, and a fairly crappy parking lot, the store has many good points that keeps this new resident coming back. read more

The self checkouts are great. Not a very good selection. Safeway is cheaper on groceries and have a friendlier staff. One thing I love about this place is the checkout clerks are idiots! I should of gotten $5 back in change but she gave me $15. Another time I got about $3 more back than what I should of. I'm not complaining, I just figured people should learn how to count before they get a job as a checkout clerk. read more

story of the day....a true story because i witnessed it...if you use your credit card at fred meyer to get gas they not only charge you for the gas but then they freeze your account until the money clears...heres the story...a friend and i went to tillamook oregon for a job interview...we stopped at fred meyer to get 20.00 worth of gas to get back to portland...on our way back we stopped at the pharmacy to pick up his perscription for his high blood pressure because he is out of medication...went to use the card to pay for it and it got declined...so we went to u.s. bank to find out what the problem...come to find out fred meyer froze the card and they put a hold on 54.00 plus the original 20.00 until it clears without authorization and they don't tell you about either...called customer at the store and the corporate offices...got too bad so sad thats our policy with u.s. bank...bank says they won't release the funds until saturday...my friend could flippin have a stroke or heart attack by then because he can't get his medication because of this....this also happen with the kroger chain...they are affiliated to each other...shoppers beware...you should boycott these stores until changes are made in their don't give a crap policy and stop this lunacy... read more
