Shopping here, I was excited to see this sale on 3 lbs of Hill's bacon. I used the Fred Meyer app to scan the digital coupon. It blinked when I scanned it, but no coupon appeared on screen to clip. So I took this picture to show as evidence of the $11.31 sale price. Sure enough, the sale price we got at the register was $14.31, not 11.31. I showed the photo to the young cashier, who tried to find the coupon on my phone and could not, and then directed us to Customer Service. After my handicapped wife and I stood in the Customer Service line for 30 minutes (only 2 customers were ahead of us, thank goodness), we were told by the middle-aged female manager that "corporate" does not allow digital coupons to be applied to meat at the Customer Service counter. I asked if other people had experienced this issue with the sale as well, and the manager said none had. My wife, quite exhausted by this time, opined that was probably because no one else wanted to wait in the Customer Service line for 30 minutes like we had. The manager refused to honor the digital coupon. My wife then asked for a complete refund, and we left the bacon there. It seems silly that Fred Meyer corporate would accept the meat back in a refund, and not honor a digital coupon for it for some reason. Mind you, the meat had not left the store at all. Anyway, I got the feeling that neither the employee nor the manager really cared about it either way. I assume they were just doing as they were told, and they probably privately thought it was just as idiotic a situation as we did. Now, about that wait time at the Customer Service counter. 30 minutes to get through 2 customers is ludicrously unprofessional. And there were several customers waiting behind us, too. It appears as if not enough help is being hired at this Fred Meyer. In the past, we had chosen Fred Meyer because Safeway ALWAYS has too little help working, and their lines are very long. Now with Fred Meyer too? In case anyone at "corporate" actually reads and cares about this event (and the ill will it has caused), the time, date and location of this event was approximately 12:45pm on October 1, 2023, at the Wellsian Way location in Richland, WA.

A non-KC Logod cake. Where is the KC? The arrowhead? And it's hard as a brick.

They had One job. I ordered a cake 7 days in advance. I asked for it to be piped in Red & yellow. I asked for the KC Chiefs logo (the arrowhead) with KC. I get there it's a completely white cake with red icing. No KC anywhere. No logo. Large child like writing says Happy Birthday Bryan. I stared at the girl who reads my description and I nod my head yes, and look at a white cake. Blink. Blink. I said well, why is it like this-i didn't understand and when I looked it up online they are red and white. I asked her to put yellow ribbons of icici ng, just like the red. I run to find anything football related because the party's in an hour and I can't not take the FORTY dollar cake. When I tell you it looked like I iced the cake. You can still see the crumbs in the icing. It's not straight writing, it's not iced well. I ran to the Party store and spent another $30 to buy stuff to make it look decent. And if she was confused-perhaps a phone call at any time would have shed light on what I wanted. But nope. Do not get your cake from Richland Fred Meyer. One job done poorly. F

They are charging $10 for a can of lysol and over $20 for a pack of 6 paper towels. Shame on you for price gouging during this time.

When I do grocery shopping, I normally visit Winco Food since their prices tend to lean towards the cheaper end, however after stopping by Fred Meyer recently I was pretty much am amazed by their variety and layout at their store. First off it's your one stop shop, they have anything and everything you need for you fridge and for your home which is highly convenient. They also have a kids corner where they have a babysitter to watch your children while you shop which is pretty helpful if you have an army of tots with you at all times. They have many registers that are extremely efficient and quick to check out for basket or cart of groceries. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Prices are pretty cheap overall even while they have a pretty nice organic section A+++

Oh yeah. May never leave this aisle.

For supermarket sushi, Fred Meyer does a very good job! Sunshine Roll, California roll and the individual pieces of sushi are all good!

Sushi is really yummy, the sushi chefs will make anything you'd like if you don't see it already made. Friendly people.

Fred Meyer would be my third favorite store in the Tricities (Right after Yoke's Fresh Market in West and Home Depot in Richland).

Safeway pharmacy review!…read more I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this pharmacy deserves even less than one star for the way they treat people. I have used this pharmacy exclusively for the 18 years I've lived in the Tri-Cities because it's convenient, but I am done. The wait...either at the drive-through or inside...is long and slow, but that's not my complaint. My issue is how they treat patients. A few years ago, I received a text saying my prescription was ready. When I went to pick it up, the staff told me it wasn't. The next day, when I calmly asked again, they accused me of trying to refill my prescription at other pharmacies. Like interrogated me. This is the only pharmacy I have ever used, aside from rare situations for my son. I told them this, and they laughed when I said I would have my doctor call to confirm. I don't know if they're confusing me with someone else or what. My prescription was filled within a few hours after that but the experience of being accused and treated that way felt discriminatory and completely inappropriate. I should have left then. Even my doctor said that isn't right. Another issue: I pulled up to the window to pick up prescriptions, and the staff said the pharmacist looked at my file and recommended a Hep B shot and shingles vaccine. Don't people get shingles vaccines when they are a LOT older? I haven't had a hep b shot since I worked in dentistry or traveled somewhere that requires it. Why is a pharmacist recommending it? I declined, but it felt like an invasion of privacy that they were reviewing personal files to make unsolicited recommendations. I don't know if that was because that pharmacy makes money off those vaccines or what but it felt off. Most recently, my doctor called in a refill three months ago, and it still hasn't been filled. Others I know with the same medication received theirs without delay. I called other pharmacies and they said the longest it should take is a few days. Once again, it feels like I am being singled out. I am done with this pharmacy. I strongly would not recommend them to anyone unless you enjoy being accused, laughed at, or denied prescriptions based on which staff member is working that day.

Reimbursement Policy and Customer Service: I understand that…read morepredatory actors may try to defraud stores. However, that is not an excuse for hostility, arrogance, and deliberate misrepresentation of store policy. I can unequivocally attest to the first two and deeply suspect the third. I purchased the wrong item using a debit card in my Apple wallet. When I went to ask for a reimbursement I was asked to produce a receipt and the card used for payment. I gave the customer service rep my receipt, my physical card, as well as showed them the digital card in my Apple wallet. The rep denied my request because she said the numbers on the physical card were different than those on the receipt. Card issuers often generate random digital numbers that differ from your actual card number as a privacy and security feature. I believe this is called "unique account number" generating. Either one of two things happened. The rep knows about this security feature but denied me anyway to avoid paying the reimbursement. Or she is completely unaware about payment security practices that are becoming more standardized over time. If it's the first then she knowingly lied in order to hold onto a couple dollars ($26). If it's the second there is a fundamental lack of tech literacy (which is fine if it's acknowledged and refined over time) even though she's in charge of reimbursements that require that very skill. Respectfully, I am asking what the service rep and the store manager, Richard, are doing to rectify this issue?

Safeway at 1803 George Washington Way, Richland, WA…read more I like this store much for the food choices, and the changes since I was a child when we shopped at a Safeway in Oregon. I like the grass fed beef, lamb, and wild fish and other items I don't find at Walmart (on dial a ride so Walmart is closest). Good wine selection, huge olive selection, great deli and many other great selections. I lived in NYC for 33 years, and am now living here. For the person who stated to "get over yourselves" regarding 2nd hand smoke, I ended up almost dead from it (worked in many offices long before it was banned outright). I know the laws extensively from Medical negligence (if heart or asthma then one can request more distance) ADA and other. Not always easy to have implemented though. (as well I was receiving my Masters in health care so know the damage it does to others). The door for instance is actually the outer most "overhang" (meant so that the overhead does not trap smoke in the area). Most places don't realize this (the laws can be hundreds of pages long). Then there are ingress/egress aspects of the ADA. My complaint was that now elderly and on disability (and looking younger and not ill) I asked the cashier to slow down, I could not keep up with the flow and was on dial a ride. I then mentioned I was on SSD and he said "he didn't care" I was selfish for being so slow!!! A clear violation of ADA "reasonable accommodation". These places are afraid of being sued for dog owners (if they ask "are you disabled") finding a loophole vis a vie the ADA (I used to work for both health care and legal firms) yet I "needed" to mention I was on disability. The entire line of customers started to pile on along with this checkout person, and I just shoved my food into my cart, and almost in tears went to sit down to pack it myself. One of the elderly in line behind me, on his way out repeated "your selfish". I was stunned - I had started to shop their to avoid not great customer care at Walmart. I got home and called and spoke to the manager. When I went in the next time, I introduced myself. He apologized of course and told me the person in question was dealt with. For the most part however, the service is excellent. As I mentioned to him and others at check out - saying can you slow down should suffice (they are told to do x amount in x time).

So I come to the store often and I really enjoy it. Unfortunately today I had an older gentleman…read morewith a beard working the self checkout that started rooting around in my bags while I was checking out. I understand him wanting to make sure I'm not a thief or anything like that but that was a little over the top. I'm sure it is frowned upon by the store and if I were to mention this to a manager they would put an into it. I don't really want anybody rooting around in my shit while I'm trying to check out.
