Safeway pharmacy review! I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this pharmacy deserves even less than one star for the way they treat people. I have used this pharmacy exclusively for the 18 years I've lived in the Tri-Cities because it's convenient, but I am done. The wait...either at the drive-through or inside...is long and slow, but that's not my complaint. My issue is how they treat patients. A few years ago, I received a text saying my prescription was ready. When I went to pick it up, the staff told me it wasn't. The next day, when I calmly asked again, they accused me of trying to refill my prescription at other pharmacies. Like interrogated me. This is the only pharmacy I have ever used, aside from rare situations for my son. I told them this, and they laughed when I said I would have my doctor call to confirm. I don't know if they're confusing me with someone else or what. My prescription was filled within a few hours after that but the experience of being accused and treated that way felt discriminatory and completely inappropriate. I should have left then. Even my doctor said that isn't right. Another issue: I pulled up to the window to pick up prescriptions, and the staff said the pharmacist looked at my file and recommended a Hep B shot and shingles vaccine. Don't people get shingles vaccines when they are a LOT older? I haven't had a hep b shot since I worked in dentistry or traveled somewhere that requires it. Why is a pharmacist recommending it? I declined, but it felt like an invasion of privacy that they were reviewing personal files to make unsolicited recommendations. I don't know if that was because that pharmacy makes money off those vaccines or what but it felt off. Most recently, my doctor called in a refill three months ago, and it still hasn't been filled. Others I know with the same medication received theirs without delay. I called other pharmacies and they said the longest it should take is a few days. Once again, it feels like I am being singled out. I am done with this pharmacy. I strongly would not recommend them to anyone unless you enjoy being accused, laughed at, or denied prescriptions based on which staff member is working that day. read more

Reimbursement Policy and Customer Service: I understand that predatory actors may try to defraud stores. However, that is not an excuse for hostility, arrogance, and deliberate misrepresentation of store policy. I can unequivocally attest to the first two and deeply suspect the third. I purchased the wrong item using a debit card in my Apple wallet. When I went to ask for a reimbursement I was asked to produce a receipt and the card used for payment. I gave the customer service rep my receipt, my physical card, as well as showed them the digital card in my Apple wallet. The rep denied my request because she said the numbers on the physical card were different than those on the receipt. Card issuers often generate random digital numbers that differ from your actual card number as a privacy and security feature. I believe this is called "unique account number" generating. Either one of two things happened. The rep knows about this security feature but denied me anyway to avoid paying the reimbursement. Or she is completely unaware about payment security practices that are becoming more standardized over time. If it's the first then she knowingly lied in order to hold onto a couple dollars ($26). If it's the second there is a fundamental lack of tech literacy (which is fine if it's acknowledged and refined over time) even though she's in charge of reimbursements that require that very skill. Respectfully, I am asking what the service rep and the store manager, Richard, are doing to rectify this issue? read more

Why is ice cream at the Safeway store in the cups soft it should be solid frozen. If this is not safe they need to fix it.

I ordered groceries to be delivered and they delivered someone else's groceries to me, then when I called them they said they couldn't reschedule my delivery and just refunded my order. So, I wasn't ordering groceries for fun, I actually need those groceries. The correct answer would have been 1) Let me get a hold of the driver and see if I can send them back if they haven't wrongly delivered your groceries to someone else or 2) Wow I'm sorry sir, I will refill your grocery order and deliver it asap. That's it, those are the 2 options. read more

My mother, myself and family and friends will no longer shop at any Albertson's stores until you require face coverings to be worn by ALL of your associates. I kindly asked why a checker wasn't wearing a mask, and was rudely told "because I don't feel I have to wear one". PLEASE make it a REQUIREMENT for your staff to wear a mask, for the health of your shoppers and workers, as soon as possible! Your company is not following CDC guidelines, which I've listed below, as I pulled from their website today: "Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick. Everyone should wear a cloth face cover when they have to go out in public, for example to the grocery store or to pick up other necessities. The cloth face cover is meant to protect other people in case you are infected." Please tell me why you are not following CDC guidelines and thus placing our community at risk? read more

This is a refreshed and typically well stocked store. The inside Starbucks is a nice place for a quick pick-me-up before shopping. The store never seems crowded until it is time to checkout, and then it seems cramped like there isn't quite enough room for the roaming shoppers and those waiting to pay. Good wine selection and lots of craft beer. Check it out. read more

Meat is downright BEAUTIFUL with lots of weekly specials. Deli superb. Bakery Excellent too~ love the Jalapeño Cheddar Bread their Pastries Breads and Cakes~ Pies Individual Portions too! I love the location of this Albertson and the wonderful customer service. A young man rung me up for $1.79 for two small sticks of celery. I pointed out to him and his reaction was argh.. the second time around and it was still incorrect now priced at $3.99/pound. Locate over your receipt because you might be over charged. read more

I have shopped at this store for years because it is close to my house. The store has steadily gone down hill since the Safeway merger. What I first noticed was a lack of inventory things like milk and meats. I no longer go there unless I need a single item. I was in recently to pick up a gallon of milk. Gallons of whole milk in the cooler were past their "sell by" date. I'll head to Yokes on Keene Rd from now on. read more

This is a really nice Albertsons - well maintained and it has the self-checkout lanes for when I'm buying nothing but Hagen Daaz for dinner and don't want anyone else to see. The seafood department has just about everything and the produce section isn't bad either. They have a small natural foods section and an AMAZING wine section, including a separate room for Washington wines. I spend too much time in that little area :) Overall, I enjoy shopping here. Can be a little pricey but the sales are pretty good. If you really want to see how much nicer this Albertsons is, just check out the one on Clearwater - yikes. read more

I was a regular here when they had a specialty wine room. They had some great bottles from around Washington that you couldn't get elsewhere in town -- or had to visit the winery to find. Now, that room is where they store their liquor for sale. I'm sure they make more money off of booze than wine, but it was a disappointing change. The rest of the market is just like any other Albertson's. Clean, etc. I've pretty much stopped coming here. There are places more convenient to my home. read more

This store is super close to my house so I go there often. I usually do the self checkout & no one even greets me and thats kind of ok, but the few times(twice in 6 months) I've needed help paying for my groceries the cashiers have been super rude! No hello, no convo, just scan & toss, one time my apples were super bruised & chips crushed. Both times no words not even my total! Today she didn't say one word to me, I asked " is that my total" since she just stared at me. Zero customer service. I did ask her name & suggested she at least greet her customers. read more

The meat section is top knotch!! Watch for the hamburger coupon for 1/2 off. Also they have meat for buy one/two get one/two free! They beat Costco & Winco with these regular weekly sales. Huge flower section & can make custom arrangements. Nice bakery & I get my custom order event cakes & great sugar free baked goods. Excellent high quality in their produce! I can order a case for my canning & get a bulk discount. Deli has great hot food bar & hot soups! Friendly deli helpers. Starbucks inside store, I also get a coffe before shopping. This review is for the meat department. I was in here earlier to get some meat to make dinner tonight. The lady working (didn't catch her name, but it was around 3) she was super rude to my sister & I. We were unsure of what meat to get to make carne Asada. We got chuck roast and when we asked her to slice it she sighed and acted like we were inconveniencing her. Once she cut all the meat she told us we could've got better meat. We asked her why she didn't tell us this BEFORE she sliced it. We told her we no longer wanted the meat for the way she treated us. We brought it to a managers attention, and hopefully it gets taken care of. I work for a corporate business, and know if I treated a customer like this it wouldn't be tolerated. I understand people have off days also, but her behavior is unacceptable, and I hope she is reprimanded for this. read more

This is my favorite albertsons. The produce is always fresh and looks good. The bread is also pretty fresh. The store is always very clean in appearance and the employees are very nice and helpful. Pretty good selection of spirits although I wasn't impressed they didn't have buttershots at all. read more

My husband and I were at Yoke's Fresh Market on Keene Rd in Richland just a few hours prior to shopping at this Albertsons. After seeing the quality items and cleanliness of the Yoke's store, it was difficult to get excited about Albertsons. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out as being good either, from the product selection to the customer service. The store is serviceable, but not great. read more

No complaints! My first visit to this Albertsons. It is located in a nice strip mall close to a variety of stores and restaurants. I just went in for a beverage. I found what I was looking for but to bad for me I didn't have a frequent shoppers card. They offer both human and automated cashiers. The cashier that waited on me was pleasant. The store is well lite, clean, well organized with pleasant staff. I think the prices could have been better but that was only because I did not have a shoppers card. read more

I am sad to say that I have had yet another bad experience at this store. Every time I come here there is something negative that happens. I came in and bought only a few things and the total came out to $50! Which does not make sense because I put in every item according to the yellow price tabs into my calculator, and the total only barely reached $40. When I got to the register, and the price well exceeded my limit, I began to panic. So I figured "oh she just needs my phone number so I can get the deal" but to my surprise, the deal is for everyone and the phone number is only for gas points. So I'm getting the emergency money out of my phone case, and I am $3 short. So I ask if I can step off to the side to call my mother to see what we don't need on our camping trip. She had already bought water so I decided I didn't need the case I had in my cart. During my panic state I was the only one in her line. Not until I stepped off to the side did people get into the line. So, I wait patiently for the two to purchase their items and ask if I can take the waters out. Then, I was only 16 cents off. At this point I was feeling very anxious and stressed and nearly started crying. So I put back another item. This experience wouldn't be as stressful if it hadn't been for the poor attitude of the woman who checked me out. She acted as if I exceeded my limit with over 50 items. But only two. I was short 16 cents. I apologized many times and just got scoffs. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or not, but I feel like every time I go to this store something similar happens customer service wise. I was not holding up an entire line for hours. I simply asked questions calmly and took a mere two minutes for my step aside episode. What I got was her negative energy as if I were the most irritating human being she had ever encountered. Every question I asked was answered in a talking down sort of manner. It saddens me to say that I will probably not be returning to this store as it causes me to be sad and anxious every time I enter, the customer service is never great, and the prices are high, and are incorrectly advertised. read more

The prices are high, but I take advantage of the Safeway rewards and get .50-.90 /gal off gas, which is great!

My very 1st experience to shop here is bad, the cashier charge double price for 1 item that i ONLY bought 1 when i check the receipt in the car. I dont think i would like to come back here ever again. read more

I wouldn't even give this albertsons a 1 star but I can't leave it at a zero so a 1 I guess it is. I came from Idaho to visit family and happen to eat at a restaurant by this albertsons after dinner I stopped here to quickly get some medicine for my two sick boys which I did. I walked up to the self check out and when I rang up my medicine it said it had to be approved by someone a cashier male came up within a minute without acknowledging me, greeting me or even smiling at me he stood in front of me scared his employee card and as soon as that went through he simply walked away in fact I don't even think he looked at me! Talk about terrible customer service! Im amazed to see what kind of customer service standards albertsons has for their employees. Everyone k ones that great customer service is what keeps a business going if this is all their employees I wish this store the best of luck! read more
