Freddy's is a GIGANTIC store, which I have found overwhelming for years. Thankfully, friends have helped me learn how to find what I want here. For example, Freddy's is one of the rare places in town that consistently sells super high-quality Baby Gem lettuce AND for a very competitive price. Bless their hearts, they also sell organic orange cherry tomatoes well into the winter when no one else does and they taste wonderful!!! Because the grocery store is primarily conventional, I shop here very carefully. My husband and I only eat organic food and I don't want to mistakenly purchase something I think is organic and drive home with it only to find out that it is conventional. I don't shop in any other part of this really huge store but I do value the grocery section. They have an excellent selection of artisan cheese, olives, and lots of other things that are pretty hard to get up here in Southern Oregon. I find that the people who work here are consistently very warm and friendly, which I very much appreciate. It makes doing my errands is a great deal more pleasurable. And, I also really appreciate that I get points for what I purchase in the grocery section which we apply to purchasing gas at Freddy's. My husband says that Costco and Fred Meyers have the most competitive prices for gas consistently so that's where we buy our gas Thank you very much for all that you do. What a horrible waste of time and money. I went in FOUR hours before closing to find three items (that were in store, but would not come up when searched for on their website- a common problem with their badly designed website. When you search for jeans and all it brings up is 4 pages of Depends, there is a competency issue) First, no ads by the entrance, next they had closed the fitting rooms "for the rest of the evening" per an employee. Four hours before closing they blocked off the fitting rooms with chairs and refused use. Then found they had closed all but one register in groceries and waited a very long time. When I said it was wrong to close the fitting rooms, the checker said "you can bring them back". Uh...ya, at $5 a gallon and a couple hours of my time. Then to cap it all off, I got home finally and found that checker had not taken the alarm tag off. You can't remove those without a special device. So...I have to spend extra time and money anyway read more

I know some people call this the "dollar more store" but l don't.. l feel like get great customer service, fresh vegetables and good prices. Specially if you use your Fred Meyers rewards card! You really don't have to click the digital coupons all the time, just scan your card while checking out!! Between what's on sale and my card l save between 60-100 dollars every 2 weeks! Woah. That was my reaction when I walked into this store, the first and only Fred Meyer I have ever been in. I was expecting a plain ol' grocery store, but as the front doors parted, what looked like a giant Target revealed itself. Faced with rows upon rows of clothes and other goods, I almost turned back around, thinking that I this airplane hanger-sized store was something more akin to a Kohl's than a grocery. But then I noticed food aisles in the back, and continued. The food aisles alone constituted perhaps the largest grocery store I have ever seen. The size was truly unbelievable. I was in too much of a hurry to explore, however, and made a bee line for the deli. The service was very friendly and the sandwich and salad choices ample. The pre-made sandwich and salad I picked up were both decent (for being pre-packaged at least), and I happily continued on my way. I can't speak to value, but with such a GIANT selection, this Fred Meyer seems like a good place to pick up a meal or do your grocery shopping. read more

What an awful, awful business. it's not enough that they reduced their hours and close at either 10 PM or 11 PM, but now they stand at the door, lock it, and guard it from any of those pesky customers who might want to come in 10-15 minutes before they close to buy something real quick. Not even Walmart does that. Apparently when they say they close at 11 in my town it really means they close at 10:45 and screw you if you need anything at the last minute. Their time is so valuable that you can't go in and buy something and be out before 11 because there's a risk you might be leaving 11:01 PM, and the thought of that is just unacceptable to the people at Fred Meyer, whose time is so much more valuable than yours. What kind of business actively rejects money? I've never seen that before. I have worked retail in the past and the general thought was that if somebody got there before you closed you let them in, and if you didn't like it there are other jobs out there for you. Now it appears the whiny, safespace-demanding, "I'm not going to work one extra minute" crybabies have officially made their demands and the management have acquieaced. read more

Had a long overdue opportunity to visit the South Medford Fred Meyer. As in previous trips to the area, the store did not disappoint. This is an amazing store with everything from clothes to a massive, well stocked, well priced grocery department (complete with hard to find organics and healthy items) all under one roof. Everything is as neat and clean as it could possibly be....and the employees I dealt with were all knowledgeable and friendly. Since my last visit, this store has been remodeled and the food department is greatly improved and expanded. The deli-bakery-meat perimeter is flanked by an instore "bar" that has beer and wine on tap with sports TV playing. Target is put to shame by this store. I could spend hours in here getting reacquainted but will not be doing so today, but hopefully will when time allows. Oh, and everything I bought was fresh and delicious, in particular the items from the bakery and deli....probably the best part of any FM visit. Now please open some new locations in Northern California, Fred Meyer, won't you? read more

I purchased a $100 Amazon Gift Card at Fred Meyer. When I opened the gift card the redemption number was not fully visible because the glue pulled off part of the number. I suspect the card may have been tampered with. The corporate office told me they couldn't resolve this and that I would need to deal with Amazon. Amazon keeps kicking this from department to department and thus far, it hasn't been resolved. My view is Fred Meyer sold a faulty product and won't stand behind it. If it has been tampered with, then I question why these cards aren't locked up, like many other items in the store. My advice is for people to never buy gift cards at Fred Meyer. If this isn't resolved I will never shop there again. read more

I have been doing my shopping here since 2004. With that, let's talk self-checkout. Does anyone else feel like a criminal when using this option? I have surfaced this, at least 3x at FM South to their Management, and still, their cameras that are positioned above each stall, continue to do whatever it is they do to accuse me of stealing, as here comes the screen: "Please wait" and enter their rep. who basically goes through my cart, looking at the camera, then my cart, and literally acting like I am stealing. Never mind the fact, she walks up and down the area constantly, but yeah, I am stealing. Of course, I get the whole speel, "there is a lot of shoplifting" BS, to which I reply, "Not my problem."Honestly, it's not. I don't steal, so why am I being lumped into those who do? It's 2025 with AI tech burgeoning, and these tech folk at FM can't figure out how to balance crime with customer service, using obviously outdated tech, e.g. their cameras, that don't seem to do anything but irritate their customers. read more

Go here for a quick stop for gas or groceries. It's nice store just that it gets busy during certain hours and they don't have enough check stands. They have self check out too but sometimes there's a line all the way to the produce section. Shout out to their sushi crew, they work hard and diligently. please judge me for getting grocery store sushi. I've gotten regular gas and it burns up faster than if I were to get regular from Costco. I'm guessing the chemistry in their gas isn't as great as others. read more

Went to get gas at the gas station, they are only using half the pumps- and put signs on the "reaches both sides" so they are pumping gas at half speed. I don't know why you would ever give up half your business... Took 30 mins just to get gas- will never be back. read more

Due to Covid 19 I am high risk, and taking the vaccine, and a lot of you wont agree with me and I don't CARE! This post isn't about that, it's about Kroger Grocery stores! I went to my local Fred Meyer's and before I went I checked to make sure they upheld the mask policy, and they do. However while shopping there in the produce section one of the workers that was stocking was wearing her mask around her chin. I saw her and did my best to avoid her. Then she left her cart and walked right by me. I honestly went as far away as I could, but as she walked by she sighed and I could feel her breath on my arm. This freaked me out, and I left not getting the last needed groceries, but, knowing I needed to get out of this place NOW. I decided to call customer service to let them know one of their employees wasn't complying. Here is what I got. And yes, it's real! Hi, I was in your store and this is what happened. The customer service rep named Miracle. (cool name not person) I told her that that I could feel the lady breath on me and she busted up into laughter. I do know many of you in customer service and no matter how crazy that sounds, that is not proper customer service. After she was done laughing I told her the rest of my story. She then said okay, I'll call them and let them know. anything else? I said, yes, I'd like to let you know a description of the woman. so she took that info and she said anything else, I said, Yes, I'd like to let you the time I was in the store. So she took that info. She said anything else? Mind you she never took my name or information. I said yes, I haven't been out in two weeks so if I get the virus i'll know who to contact. she hung up on me. I then decided to email and they promise a 24 hour response, that's been over two weeks no response soooooooooooo OH WELL. Just letting you know..........companies are saying they are complying but, they are not taking ANY responsibilities. Shop safely my friends. I'll miss you Freddies.......but, DONE! read more

I used to shop at Kroger when we lived in Dallas, TX and they don't have them in Redding, so anytime we make it to Medford we always stop at Fred Meyer for some great deals on groceries and gas. It seems like the gas here is the cheapest in the area, especially if you use gas rewards. The last few times I've been here, I didn't know there is a childcare area for kids 2 and up! There is a 1 hour limit and availability depends on the kid to staff ratio. It was a very welcome service after spending several hours in the car with our small kids. I didn't know the store before the beer/wine bar went in, but I really enjoy the new addition. The servers are so nice and you get 3 free tasters. They also have a good deal on growlers and fill ups. I haven't used the deli or pharmacy, but they're not why I come here. Until next time, Fred! read more

This review is for the deli. The pizza isn't as good as you'll get at a regular pizza restaurant. The Mexican bowl is okay. You have a choice of either pork or chicken, two types of rice and beans and various toppings. Only the meat is hot so when the other ingredients are added the food is warm at the best. It is a generous helping--an okay value for $7. As for the market: it has been renovated and reorganized to eliminate some departments and add new ones. The electronics dept. is gone--just one aisle stocks ink cartridges and other accessories. The paint and hardware dept. is gone. The food section has been greatly expanded not including the addition of a beer & wine bar and a cheese bar plus the flower section has been enlarged. The prices seem about the same. read more

On August 25, 2023 my wallet was stolen with 7 other individuals (at the gym). The thieves went to this Fred Meyers and ran my credit cards and debit cards without PIN numbers to over 4k. I arrived within an hour of the transactions and the loss prevention department even checked the register camera's and found individuals running cards with several different names. You would think this would be a red flag as they bought thousands of dollars of $500 gift cards. The loss prevention person even agreed that it was not me that used the cards. But, Fred Meyer still turned the charges in for payment to my bank and when I challenged it, they said they believed it was me that ran the cards. It took months of fighting with the banks to clear the charges, when Fred Meyer could have provided the photos that showed it was not me. My biggest complaint is that NO Red Flags went up when a person used multiple cards with several different names to buy thousands if not tens of thousands of $500 gift cards. I am boycotting Fred Meyer until they stop accommodating and making it easy for thieves. I ask that you join me. read more

I shop here weekly. They usually have everything I need except on Monday mornings when the supplies have not yet been restocked. Good store EXCEPT for the HORRIBLE loud genre of music they play on the PA system. It's so bad I have actually considered leaving my basket full and walking out. I want to love Fred Meyers. I do!!! I mean come on!!! Day care, groceries, clothing and home goods?!?!?? Could it get any better?!?! I was hoping so. But time and time again I am disappointed with this location. :( I've gone 3+ times and the day care is closed during normal hours. I got a personalized pre paid fee Meyer debit card to pay bills on. It's had problems with particular payees numerous times. The most recent time I went in to reload said card and for some reason the machine kept declining the reload. I was then told by the manager that they have no clue why it won't reload and to call the customer service number. Mind you, this was a Saturday, so I ask, "do you think they're open on the weekend?" And he says "nope, only weekdays." So I go to my car and load my kids back into their seats while they're sad because of course the day care isn't open (surprise!) and call the number anyway and they're open. The man states that all older cards were put into a new system and the management was aware of this. To top it all off the management was SUPER rude to me initially. Ugh Then today I go in and ask if they price match, they do!!! So I am excited to finally have a positive thing to say about them! Then the man tells me, "sorry, we can't price match this item because the serial numbers don't match" SERIOUSLY!?! It's the exact same item!!!! Ughhhh so basically I'm likely going to just give my money to huge Walmart Corporations from now on. This place is a total joke. Please Fred Meyer!!! Get better at running this location! Loved my experience today! Stopped by to browse and get some groceries as well as my Friday Freebie items. Personally I like this location more than the one on Crater Lake Hwy. Seems like they have more selection of items here and the items were well stocked. Not to mention while being in the store I was greeted by pretty much every employee that I passed by (probably 5+ employees). They are renovating right now so things might not be in the same place as before, but there are signs that tell you where they have been moved to. read more

This review is for the pharmacy! Seriously get more staff in here! The line is consistently long with only one person working. You can't tell me the people working there don't notice! When I suggested better staffing, I got a retort of they can't control when people get sick. Does this mean staff or customers?!
