I have shopped at Walgreen's for many years. I don't understand their corporate policy changes. They don't have enough staff. Sadly, many of the ones the DO have are not sufficiently trained -- although they are very nice people. Case in point: Today I was sent a Western Union transfer of cash. I went to Walgreen's. What a waste of my time. The computer screen was not adjusted properly. It was slanted far down as if a child was using it and could NOT be tilted upward. In addition, the touch keyboard often would not register what I attempted to enter -- sometimes as much as 20 paced attempts. Finally, I asked for help -- yet again -- from the Walgreen's employee who had first started helping me then kept leaving leaving to do something else. She didn't know what she was doing and bumped me out of what I had just spent 30 grueling minutes attempting to do!!!! A different store employee whispered, "You can go next door to Albertson's. They have someone trained who will do it for you." We went to Albertson's across the street and the wonderfully trained woman in customer service handled it in 4 minutes. Wow!!!! Also, Walgreen's closed their pharmacy. I will be very surprised -- unless Walgreen's improves how they are doing business and increases customer service -- they will be closing their doors entirely. If that happens, it will be a shame. read more

I wish I could give this pharmacy zero stars. Every time there is an issue with my scripts , they are way understaffed, people are waiting all over the place. Their copays are way more than other pharmacy's to boot! Their male pharmacist there was so rude to me after I had oral surgery that day and was in serious pain. He was in a break while everyone was waiting. I was in the drive through line twice, then told to come in and wait again! Finally had to run to another store to get my dogs prescription food before 6pm, made it back to the pharmacy by 5:55pm, they close at 6pm. He said I had to come in because it was past drive through hours, I said it wasn't when I got here! Never again! He finally disgruntely gave it to me and I left. Never again! I'm new to the area and chose this pharmacy, since then I have never had a good experience here. Today I called in the morning because my new medication said it was out of stock. I was going to request to transfer because I need my asthma medication. When I called I was told it actually was in stock and I could pick it up later in the day. I left work in Grants Pass, and there was still a notification saying it was out of stock. So I tried to call them and waited on hold the entire 40 minute drive. When I showed up to pick up my medication, I made a comment about trying to call for the last 40 minutes, they laughed and said they have been super busy and the phone hadn't even rang. Then lo and behold my medication is not in stock. I needed to pick this up today, and now will need to wait for my doctor to open Monday to be able to pick it up. I have never had such terrible service and experiences before in my life. I ended up in tears in the parking lot trying to figure out how to get my medication. read more

Came to get my RX due to a txt I received saying it was ready only to find out the pharmacy is closed for two weeks. Pharmacist went on two week vacation without ANY notice ahead of time !! No notice was given to even the staff. I talked with a girl that works in the pharmacy (who was working within the store now) who said she showed up and had no idea ! Don't even bother with this place. I transferred everything to Costco. Walgreens will never receive my business again. read more

I was waited on by a tech named Savannah. I was upset that I could not pick up my prescriptions. She was rude when I tried to inquire why the prescriptions were not ready. She said she was not responsible that the medication had not come in. There was Zyrtec D on the shelf behind her. So I paid for a box of 12 of the shelf. She told me I was being rude because I asked why it was not ready. Then the pharmacist tells me that I could not pick up my Zolpidem till Monday. No explanation. Then Savannah tells me I cannot fill prescriptions there anymore because I was rude to her. Walgreens customer service has really gone down hill. read more

Granted it's hard to get them on the phone & you have to go in if you need to talk to a human but this is our post-Covid world & lack of help in about every industry. Horrible customer service & Karen staff. I went here 15 minutes before they closed with my toddler to grab some hair items I needed. I was aware of the time and was shopping accordingly. I noticed an old lady with long grey hair following me and my son watching us from aisle to aisle. Standing at the end of the aisle just staring at my son. I called her out and asked her if there was a reason she was following me and blatantly staring me and my son down? She replied very rudely saying because there was 5 minutes left before they close. & being passive aggressive about me putting back items my son had grabbed back in the wrong spot?? She obviously was angry we were shopping late and decided to take it out on me??? I ended up leaving without the things I needed because she was goin on about how she has the right to refuse service to me and she's allowed to do as she pleases in her store & so on. I wanted nothing to do with her, this walgreens, or those bad energy items in that store at this point. I understand wanting to go home but your customers shouldn't have to bear the brunt of you hating your job or life. Seriously what happened to customer service. Awful service in the pharmacy. I picked my husband up from surgery at 11:30am, took him home and got him situated, then headed out to the pharmacy to get his painkillers. I arrived at 2:40 and was told it would take 20-30 minutes and I stayed because my husband needs his next dose soon, however I am still waiting as I write this at 4pm. It got busy after I put in my script and I guess they put off my stuff to help everyone else since they said they had to call my insurance, leaving me waiting for over 90 minutes (so far). I am supposed to be taking care of my husband who can't walk and I'm STUCK here because they put off my order. Horrible experience. I am livid. Update: Finally got it figured out over 2 hours later. If the pharmacists had called my insurance like they said they were going to, a lot of time would have been saved. BUT NO they made me call a random number that didn't help and then made me call my insurance and NOW I'm in the back of the que when I've been waiting 2 HOURS while my poor husband is at home in pain. This Walgreens has been the worst pharmacy experience I've ever had. I don't usually use this pharmacy so was unaware of their new restrictive 9-5 hours, M-F only, when I initially got my prescription filled here. I ended up having to take time off of work to pick up my prescription after the woman I talked to on the phone told me their advertised services are not actually available at this location and she can't do anything to help me out regarding their hours. I managed to get in about 15 minutes before they close only to find makeshift signs plastered everywhere indicating their machines are down and can only take cash. Guess who happened to not have cash on them that day? Me. I waited in line anyway to see what my options were since it's a new prescription and I'm not sure whether my insurance will cover in full or not and I'm basically told they can do literally nothing for me, including get the prescription transferred back to my original pharmacy and/or communicate with my doctor for me and then the woman snidely implied I should get out of line if I can't pay and reminded me they were closing in about 6 minutes. All over what turned out to be an $8 prescription. When asked about their oddly restrictive hours, again I received a snarky reply about how hard their pharmacist works, but I "probably don't see it". She's not wrong, I don't see it because I am also working my butt off at my own job during working hours, as most people do. When the **grocery store** across the street has a pharmacy open 65 hours/week and you can barely operate 40/week as a **pharmacy**, seems like a big red flag. When I called my old pharmacy to get it transferred back over to them, I was informed over a day later when I called (again) that they were unable to do anything because Walgreens gave them the runaround and left them on hold when they called to request Walgreens cancel the insurance claim they had filed for my prescription, so my pharmacy couldn't file a claim for the same prescription until the refill date arrived at which point it would be far too long past when I needed it. I ended up having to pay out of pocket because of Walgreens' total incompetence and unprofessionalism. My pharmacy is incredible and worked with me to resolve this situation, but Walgreens was nothing but unprofessional, rude, inaccessible, and frankly just problematic all around. I have had other issues with this location in the past when trying to transfer a prescription to them, being told they have nothing with my name associated with it, having the pharmacist himself put in the transfer request, and still ultimately never hearing from them again and never getting the prescription through them at all. My pharmacy has indicated issues with them before and I see in the reviews plenty of similar experiences. Definitely do NOT recommend coming here, especially if you have any super important medications. read more

Walgreens on West Main in Medford., OR. I took a prescription into them for pain meds for my daughter in love who had just had surgery.the pain meds given to her were making her sick, and she couldn't continue taking them. I went inside since there were five cars in line at the drive through. I gave them the written prescription, and was told it would be 20 minutes or less. It took them twice that time to process the prescription. My daughter in law was suffering while waiting for the prescription to be filled. After I gave the paperwork for the prescription a young woman came into the pharmacy requesting her second COVID shot. They couldn't find any record of her first shot, so spent all of their energy locating it. The pharmacist chose to administer her shot taking away time from processing pain meds that my daughter-in-law law needed ASAP. This pharmacist has no conception of priorities. Don't use this pharmacy unless you don't have any other choice. Even people with advanced degrees can't do simple tasks like prioritizing these days. read more

Bi-Mart never had a difficulty understanding my doctor's instructions, but Walgreens' pharmacy used that excuse to delay my seizure medication. I walked two miles to pick the prescription up, Thank you, Walgreens. Walgreens Pharmacy's staff has made me wait on the phone for, at least, 45 minutes. Probably waiting in line behind other unhappy former Bi-Mart customers forced into the best pharmacy ever. Ugh. Go somewhere else if your doctor is OCD. Walgreens won't understand. read more

The Pharmacy is ridiculous. I've had constant problems with them accepting my insurance. Anytime I refilled online or my the automated system, it would say it went through. Even the Walgreens app told me it was ready to pick up. I always check my app before I go pick it up because the DAY it says it's ready, it would change and say there was a problem with my insurance and to call. But calling just leaves me on hold forever. And going down to the pharmacy, while not too inconvenient, I would get told it couldn't be filled and that they didn't have my insurance info, despite it being in their system for YEARS I had to do this EVERY TIME. I have Good Rx and they refused to honor the coupons that I had from it. I ended up paying over $50 out of pocket for 2 meds that should have cost me less than $10 if they had just acknowledged that I had a coupon. I have switched my prescriptions to Savon as my mom has always had good experience with them. The only nice thing is the drive through, but ONLY use it if you never have issues because it's impossible to work with them and communicate through the crappy speaker. read more

This place has a real problem-- the pharmacy staff are rude, un-empathetic, and crude. The exact opposite of what you expect from a place that deals with supporting peoples health. After my third bad experience here, I will NEVER do business with any Walgreens Pharmacy again, regardless of location. Recently, leaving the hospital after a major surgery and picking up pain meds on the way home, this location was unwilling to serve me stating they were "closing for lunch"; it takes approximately 15 minutes to fill this common scrip, and the place was a ghost town. Instead, they expected we come back in a "few hours". Perhaps they could have phrased things differently; the positioning was horrible. We were able to push it through (the scrip being ready in 5 minutes), after we shared the situation, all the while the clerk giving us an attitude. When we spoke with the pharmacist as an escalation to share our experience, he smirked and gave the same arrogant attitude. When we were called by the manager after giving feedback to corporate Walgreens, he simply defended his employees and stated it is what it is. We were not looking for anything other than an apology for poor service. On another occasion that I went to this location, the woman who works at the pharmacy counter who was unwilling to help in a meaningful way. She was unwilling to split my scrip into two, as one part was filled already and I didn't need it. She made it sound like it would be good for me to have some "extra" of this anti-biotic around the house just to get the other part of the scrip. Sounds like a lazy employee who didn't want to have to split an order. Who needs extra anti-biotics just "sitting around". Blah. In general, I would recommend finding a good local pharmacy, which is what I'm going to do. Rite-Aid and this place really are a drag. Shame on you, Walgreens, for letting bad people ruin your historic name and brand presence. read more

Well I'll never come to this store again. It's close to my house so I've spent plenty of money in here over the time it's been open. Just went in to pick up a few things and remembered I needed razors. I grabbed a pack that was a decent price and then realized that a pack of Walgreens brand had a dollar off coupon on it so I grabbed those. I pulled the coupon off the package right in front of the guy that was checking. For some reason it didn't want to scan and he looked at me and he said Walgreens products don't have coupons. I said I took it off the package right in front of you and he said well Walgreens products don't have coupons. I said fine I'll go get another one. I went back and grabbed one of the several that were remaining also with the coupon on it and brought it back to him. He was on the phone with the manager who then ended up coming up to the register to add his two cents about them not having coupons on their packages. So basically I was being called a liar and I said that I wouldn't lie, especially for a dollar. Never going back! read more

This store was absolutely lovely today. I was greeted by an employee. I was then asked (after some browsing) if I needed help. The best part about this was that the cashier was very kind and let me know about a coupon that was going on for the month, which I had no idea about, and helped since I was buying two of the same products. It was such a kind thing to do, especially after I had gone to the other Walgreen's, and they had neglected to mention this. She said that she tries to read through the current coupon book to help customers, and this was an example of superior quality customer service. All-in-all, excellent experience and intend on coming back Update: No, I do not work at (nor ever have worked at) Walgreens. It is possible that due to my friendly nature, I received excellent customer service.. Sometimes what you give, you get back in return :) I appreciated my experience none-the-less and have had further positive experiences with this location. read more

It doesn't matter time of day or day of week. You have four people behind the pharmacy counter and they can't fill your prescription for hours. You feel like crap and no one at home to help you. They have been a good pharmacy until tonight when I was on hold over 10 minutes to order a certain # of tablets on three meds. Person hung me up after 10 minutes. Upon 2nd call she stated only she there. She was VERY frazzled and stated computer not working right. I said perhaps I should call and talk to someone else in morning. She said yes and hung up. I called Walgreens at Riverside and Barnett. He took my order and it will be ready in morning. I tried to order for 45 minutes and was on hold twice for a total of 25 minutes. The store is clean and bright and regular customer service people are great. The pharmacy is a different story. I went in to fill a 60 pill prescription and the lady in the wrinkled blue scrubs and glasses said come back at 10:30. I called to be sure it was ready. No it wasn't. She says come back at 2:00. When I went back she told me they only had 10 of the pills I needed. I wondered why she hadn't told me when I called so I could get the whole thing at once. She said The 10 pills would last 5 days and to call in everyday to see if the rest of the pills were in. She didn't offer to call me, I have to call her. She couldn't guarantee they would even be there in 5 days. I was very disappointed with her attitude and the fact I wasn't told my prescription couldn't be filled all at once.
