This is a great gas station, and because it's a Fred Meyer Fuel Center, the price per gallon is always less than other gas stations. Plus, you get a discount per gallon based on your Fred Meyer points. For me, that means a 5 star rating and I don't care if I have to wait a few minutes in line, it is totally worth it. Always cracks me up when people complain about a line as if they are the only people needing gas! Just chill. Know it's part of the process or go during off hours. I'm not a Costco member, no interest in paying annual fee. At Fred Meyers, the price is practically the same and no fee to be a member. As I said, 5 stars all the way! read more

For not having self service in Oregon this station is always quick to pump your gas and get you out of there. Always friendly employees, gas prices are always right along there with Costco. If my kids don't use the gas rewards I could get my fuel cheaper. Only complaint is half the time they ask what fuel I want they forget within 30 seconds. But not a huge deal. I love Fred Meyer Fuel Center in Medford. Especially when Ken pumps my gas. He always has a great smile and friendly chat. He even cleaned my rear window which was covered with dust. So I have had several problems with getting the staff at the Fred Meyer Fuel Center on Walker Road to use all of my points earned from grocery shopping. This is specifically about redeeming the points and the fuel center. I do really appreciate using these points--which is why this review is a 3-star. The main focus of this review is how-to use all your points at the Fred Meyer Fuel Centers in the great state of Oregon. Since we do not have self-service gas here, the gas pumps are different and this incentive program works differently than other states. Kroger designed its pumps for Oregon in a way that it's hard for fuel center employees to know what to do. Several months ago, a Fred Meyer clerk told me "you have points expiring in two days." I said "what? I just bought gas before I came in the store." The store recommended I contact corporate about getting the points. That was a dead end. Corporate would not reinstate points, and she advised me to fix it at the pump in future. I explained it was against the law to pump my own gas here, and I have not heard back from her since. I did ask at the pump from then on, to use the oldest points. This time, I got the app out. I tried to stop him and use the old points, but he was off and running. I showed him though and he explained that there was no way to override it and I would just have to come back before the end of the month and then it should pull those points. I went in and talked to the store manager. He refunded me for the past loss that I knew about, so I am definitely grateful he did that. The store manager at one point tried to pin the problem on a new employee--but reality is that gas stations are hard work for low pay, so there's always going to be turnover. The reality is that Kroger's IT decisions made for the pumps in Oregon is simply... poorly done. But going forward: It is on us, as customers, to review our points before we place our gas order. If we have older points we want to use, we need to know that. And we have to ask for a MANAGER at the fuel center to override the system and give us our old points first. Understand that staff may not know this is an option and gas stations always have turnover with new employees. So you need to ask. I strongly recommend you get the Fred Meyer app on your smart phone and check out the Rewards tab. Or just don't deal with this and lose some of your gas points. Obviously how much money you could potentially lose depends on how often you buy gas compared to how often you buy groceries. For some people, this may not be worth worrying about. I have a larger vehicle and I don't fill up as often, so it's definitely a welcomed perk Fred Meyer offers. read more

Horrible. Worst experience I've ever had. Attendant was not paying attention to our pump, it kept stopping itself. He refused to stay and keep it going because he was too busy to "babysit". Our driver, an Chinese man who is an American Citizen and has worked for the DoD training our soldiers asked this attended not once but 3 times to just stop trying to fill the vehicle and let us leave. EACH TIME this attendant IGNORED home and tried to restart it to only have to come back a few minutes later to try again. Then he got so rough with the nozzle I thought it was going to break. Long story short, this Wyoming roughneck has had enough and I got out of the vehicle and screamed at this idiot to end the pump now. Another employee had walked up to help us but it was too late! I had to stand there and watch him finish the transaction and return everything to normal before I got back in my friends vehicle. Then the jerk mutters under his breath and walks off! As we left the parking lot I'm watching this whiner stumble back into the store to pick his wounds. I hate Oregon gas laws and especially places like this one where they employ crack headed losers who don't give two cow patties about their job. Though Oregon was supposed to be the tolerant state? EXACTLY as Jill said earlier. They SAY your oldest fuel reward points will be used first, but that's a lie. Once they scan your card, they will have the LARGEST months fuel points programmed into the pump and they say there is no way to change it to the oldest month. They entire idea of fuel reward points is to develop a loyalty and all I feel is bait and switch. My unused fuel points for the oldest month merely disappeared. My solution is to join COSTCO and quit shopping at Freddys. I wonder how much the VP at Kroger makes that came up with this scam? read more

Their rules make no sense and they make you wait in one line when other pumps are open and if you move to said other pumps, when there are no customers in that line they make you circle back around and get back in line/won't serve you because you "cut" but how do you cut when there was nobody in the line? Confused as hell, the dude couldn't explain it better then saying "it's policy". Super frustrating when there's no logic behind something. read more
