I came in right at store opening and just WOW. The actual cashier ringing my groceries was a Saint seriously - what a truly lovely friendly person. She was kind and so very nice. And I engaged with a person, hesitantly as she stocked wine. I am used to Fred Meyer having their aisles now completely full of people stocking who are rude and adding things yet if you ask where something is they get annoyed and taking ten minutes to tell you they know nothing about where anything is. This was not the case - she immediately smiled and explained where EXACTLY the item was. That's the encounter I got pretty immediate so I was thinking yay, I am at a nice Fred Meyer and my shopping would go well. Nope... I have disconnected tendons on my lower legs which means the cushion to the heels of my feet lacks and standing an hour grocery shopping I try to avoid an use the motorized carts. They had a full amount of them out front but I gave up after folding my cane and getting my purse in etc as two carts in a row I would get almost in and it would beep low battery. an employee standing their I just looked at and said 'I give up' and awkwardly get a large cart because the up and down and trying to squeeze my disabled ass around to even get in and out of the carts which were parked so close that you will be disabled getting to one. He just jumped in to back them in and replug them in offering not even a single word to me.... Thanks for the wonderful shit treatment ADA people like me are VERY used to - it's just exhausting which leads me into having to practically pole vault around every aisle. Fred Meyers way now (FYI for you who have any mobility challenge whatsoever) is that EVERY SINGLE AISLE will have, in addition to the other normal shoppers, a GIANT blue cart from a store shopping fulfilling pickups and also someone stocking. I had two different people bringing in palettes and I almost fell twice since they also leave out these rather large metal step stools and love cardboard displays for select items. Then I went to checkout and I was practically laying on my cart so exhausted. Again, the cashier was so nice... and she was so nice that the person I got the impression was a manager of some kind was VERY MUCH NOT. She immediately glares at me and starts barking at the cashier. I explained to the cashier I was doing an Instacart order for a customer first and I had two donuts for me and an on sale grocery thing. I said they were probably used to us and two please double bag (which most of us do to insulate and protect for delivery. The cashier says to the manager (who is barking orders at every one who walks by) while she is hostile style bagging my groceries making me realize I should have self checked out, that it is an Instacart order. The manager says she BETTER charge for those bags correctly... I felt like asking what I had done to upset the manager. I was trying to move my cane and purse to fold the basket and make more room but she started thrusting the groceries into the cart without a word very aggressively stacking them unnecessarily. I just paid and got the heck out. I rebagged everything because it was HORRIBLE... it was six bags and she put everything heavy and glass in two yet crammed the bread and dairy horribly - putting meat on top of the strawberries and more meat on top of the eggs. She may not care about her customers but I care about mine. I know they call it Battleground - apparently that gal is ready for war! read more

I am an instacart shopper. I came here after receiving an instacart order From a Customer. I arrived at the store at approximately 8pm.The customer ordered over 60 items and was out of a lot if things they ordered. Two of the items on the order was Rainier Cherries. Dark color red, and also light color yellowish red color was both on the order. They was all out of the light color cherries so I notified the customer and did the rest of the shopping waiting to hear back to see if I can sub the light colored cherries for the dark. Finally the customer messaged me back and said yes to get the dark cherries. I returned to the produce department to get the dark Rainier cherries and the whole end cap of the isle that was filled with bags of cherries was now gone. The produce employee named Marty was working and I asked him if he had any more cherries? Marty replied NO and said he had to put them away in the back for the night and that he was sorry but I could no longer get any cherries. He put them away for the night?? Was he afraid that if he left them out that someone was going to steal his 2.99 LB. cherries??? I thought employees strive at Fred Meyer to please the customer? Not for cherries I guess they don't. Every time I visit this store it seems like they are always out of everything like they don't order enough merchandise for the products they have on sale. I will always do instacart shopping here because it is my job and get paid to do it, but I will personally not shop here because they are always out of product I want to buy and even with the sales they have in there ad's are usually cheaper at stores like Winco or Walmart and you don't even have to go threw the hassle of downloading digital coupons on a membership card to get the sales price either. read more

The Fred Meyer stores have just about everything. It's a one-stop shopping and normally these are great places to stop. However, things have changed a bit with Covid. As a matter of fact, Governor of the state of Washington has come out with a mandate that all employees are required to wear masks. And, as of July 7th customers are required to wear masks if they are to be served. I understand the latter being difficult to enforce but not the fact that employees working for the store being difficult. Nearly every single customer in the store on July 9th was wearing a mask but a good percentage of employees were either not wearing them, had them only on their mouth or laying on the chin. Moving towards a checkstand the first checker had no mask. The next two had masks only on the mouth. So, I went to the self-serve. Lady indicated the manager was only one person and hadn't informed employees and couldn't enforce. I was certainly surprised. So, customers are to protect the employees but the employees aren't required to protect the customers here. So much for a governor's mandate. read more

The deli here is my favorite. I used to come here for lunch 3 times a week. I love the Starbucks in here as well as the deli. The sushi chef is so kind and the sushi is really good. read more

This Fred Meyers, and specifically Dane in the produce department is great. It was late I needed to have balloons filled with helium for my son's birthday, and I won't even explain the day I had going from store to store trying to get them filled. Dane was actually filling in in the floral department, he was helpful and knowledgeable and fixed a couple of the balloons that I brought in that had collapsed valves. He quickly got them all filled and got me on my way. He is awesome and the store is great. I will be shopping here in the future. read more

Aaaahhh Fred Meyers. This used to be my favorite spot to shop. Not the BG location per-say, just in general. They have got toys, tools, DVDs, clothes, groceries, books, plants, games, a bank, deli, jewelry store, and pharmacy. I'm sure you get my point. A true 1 stop shopping center. But I moved and we now live closer to a competitor. For a couple years I would still drive out of my 75% of the time. But then they remodeled. My wife capitalized on my HATRED of change and converted me to the closer shopping center. Moral of story: They have EVERYTHING you'd expect and then some. If your store don't have it, Freddy's probably does. When our new location doesn't have something we need, I'm Very quick to rub it in that we are headed to Freddy's to get it! read more

This is our local Fred Meyer and we've had to stop shopping there because there is no mask enforcement. We've spoken with the local management and they forcefully admitted that they are not enforcing the mandate. It even plays over the intercom system! Carts are not being wiped down between customers and no one is stationed at the entry doors. We are now driving 20 minutes to the next store to purchase our items. So incredibly disappointed this particular FM is doing nothing to protect our community. read more

My debit card was stolen and the only way I could pay was through Apple Pay (my bank allowed to add the new digital card as the plastic copy was being mailed) so I came here to buy dinner and low and behold they don't accept Apple Pay BUT accept SAMSUNG pay?!?!?? What the heck?! This is ridiculous, please add Apple Pay......now I have to starve tonight because I have to work ALL night and this was the only time I had to grab some food. Great. The Pharmacy counter staff are very nice and helpful. The pharmacist, is less than nice and condescending. Spoke to my wife as she were a child and did not listen to her words. We are now looking for another pharmacy, even though we may have to drive further. Is customer service going out of fashion? We have choices, we'll make them, and vote with our wallets. read more

The entire staff appears to be new, and not well-trained. They can't seem to figure out even simple issues and instead refer you to customer service (after they've rung up things the wrong way - like charging you for three separate items that are actually a package of three). Customer service then basically ignores you. Unfortunately, they still have the widest selection of things - but the customer service part makes shopping here a somewhat unpleasant experience. read more

The selection of food at this Battle Ground Fred Meyer is bad. The shelfs are not stocked. The produce is just fair and the bakery is not very good.There are not enough check out clerks and there are very long lines. I often have to check myself out. The pharmacy often does not have enough techs and there are long lines. If I call the pharmacy they put me on hold and do not pick the phone back up. read more

I went shopping in Fred Meyer in mid Sept. There are apparently no mask requirements as at least 80% of the customers were maskless. I sent an email to their customer service and got back the most idiotic reply that not only didn't respond to my complaint but could have applied to ANY subject. I responded that I will send my complaints in a letter to their headquarters. Maybe they have someone who will actually answer my question of why, during a surge in Covid 19 cases/deaths, Fred Meyers has no mask requirements? In the meantime, I will refrain from shopping at Fred Meyer or any of their other brand stores. I'm a big fan of Fred Meyer and would give them 5 stars. But I'm not going to write a review of the store. I'm going to write a review of the parking lot from the vantage point of someone traveling in an RV. DON'T EVEN TRY IT! First of all, you have to turn up a side street to even get into the Fred Meyer parking lot. I was there in a 32 foot Class C, no toad. The parking lot was very full at 2:00 PM on a Thursday afternoon. I had trouble weasling around the parking lot. I got myself stuck in a situation where I couldn't turn around, and had to beg someone to guide me. I finally got parked out in a different section of the strip mall. The section I parked in was "common parking" to the strip mall and not specifically Fred Meyer. While shopping, I earned a 10 cent discount for the gas. Wanted to use it at the gas station. Took one look at the gas station, NO FREAKING WAY! The gas station only has room for cars, not RV's. read more

This review is for the gas station and not the store. What the heck!!?? This has to be THE worst designed gas station on Earth. I think even a blind person could do better. There are 4 lanes of pumps but not enough space to get out after you get gas if there are other cars. If you use the right side of the pumps they expect you to turn left INTO the far lane over to get out!!! Except that is where other cars are too! And there's no extra room to get out either. The left side has an arrow pointing to the right to exit which is the same exact situation! You have barely enough room to get your gas let alone get out. So the idea here is to make cars exit right into each other! Brilliant! I hate this place. read more

The employees in the Battle Ground Fred Meyer do not always wear their masks, even when interacting with guests. When I asked one employee why she was not wearing her mask she said it didn't do any good anyway. It does do good if both people are wearing a mask. Terrible service. DON'T leave anything there for service!! Left my watch on 12/11/20, never received a phone call when they said they would call with a quote. I never heard a word. I called on Jan 12th, "should be in any day", but I explained that I had no quote so who gave to ok to do work? Called again on the 25th of Jan and nothing had been done, finally received a quote and then they told me it would be another 10 days or so. UNBELIEVEABLE!!! They didn't offer a discount or anything.....just said that they had been very busy. I said NO, I received a phone call on Jan 29th, 8:00 at night telling me the watch finally made it back to their store for pickup. So I lost 7 weeks and still have to find somewhere else to get my watch serviced. Won't do any more business with FM jewelers! read more

I would give a negative score if I could. The pharmacy has terrible customer service. Treats people poorly due to the prescription they are on. Healthcare professionals should be focused on patient care and this pharmacy definitely does not care about the patients they serve. read more

This review is only regarding the pharmacy. The staff there needs help. I have gotten to other fred meyer pharmacy's and they never have the waiting times/lines battleground areas does. At this particular location I can always find a clerk to assist me. I am always able to find the Freddy's Friday Freebie in stock.

This is just another location/iteration of your standard FM store... but maybe a little bigger/newer than average A handy place to stock up when you're on your way in to Gifford Pinchot to do some camping... or on your way back from a few days in the woods when you need a Kombucha and a bathroom with a toilet that flushes. Either way it delivers, and the natural food section never lets a me down. read more

This past weekend, my wife and I went to Fred Meyer to take advantage of their 50% off sale on selected plants. Had been there earlier in the week and looked at these same plants that were supposedly on sale for 50% off. Turns out they jacked up the prices by 40% to offer a 50% discount. I posted this news on Facebook, and have received 100's of comments from others who have had the same experiences at this Fred Meyer. Please go to FB and look under the Battle Ground Community page. As the Fred Meyer site does not give out the information of the store's GM or Manager, I have taken to Yelp to voice this issue. I will NEVER, EVER set foot into a Fred Meyer store again, or any other store owned by Kroger. They are all about screwing their customers to make profit. read more

I love going to this Fred Meyers. I can get everything I need in one swoop. They have good deals and able to match prices if you find it cheaper anywhere else. The employees are helpful and hard workers. This place is kept clean and usually has everything in stock. I'm a big coupon person and Fred Meyers has alot of those. I usually look into weekly ads and a good deal is the $0.99 half gallon milk. You can save a couple bucks that way. Sometimes you can find good deals on their produce and food items. They also have a lot of sales throughout the store. Free wifi throughout the store. Parking lot is big. Up front parking can be a pain during busy times. There is also a Starbucks inside and a redbox on the right entrance. Overall, it is a very big store and can get mostly everything you need for a good price. read more

The produce and meat seems to be a level above other markets in Battle Ground but I agree that it is a little more spendy.
