Went here on Sunday and got a chai latte which was amazing. Then in order to get an additional WiFi code two hours later I got a London fog for the first time which was surprisingly yummy. I like how they limit the WiFi to two hours even though I had to buy an additional drink to continue to use it. The salad I order for lunch was nothing special and very small. It was prepackaged and had literally no chicken in the chicken Cesar salad. Next time I will order something different. The wait staff was so nice as well. read more

This place is new, so it's not well-known enough (yet) to where seating is ever a problem. It's bright inside, with great tables, and outlets everywhere for those of us who like to bring a laptop. The only things I've had off the menu so far have been mochas (both hot and iced), but they've been good, and those behind the counter are always friendly. My only complaint is that they don't have a menu up on the wall behind the bar yet (though there is one on paper on the counter), but I assume that'll come soon enough. read more

I dig their clean and minimalist feel, the decor was well-executed and you can tell they put a lot of effort into achieving the hipster/minimalist vibe. The baristas are friendly, oftentimes making small conversation with me, but they could definitely engage more. My biggest issue with this place is that my phone has no reception here for some reason. I have to go outside to take phone calls or even to get text messages to come through. When I look for a spot to post up at and work, I'm looking for good coffee, speedy wifi, clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and phone reception. Broadcast missed about half of these marks. I will come back to grab a quick coffee, because it's the best in the immediate area, but I wouldn't come here to work. read more

This coffee shop would be great if not for the WiFi. They give you a coupon for 2 hours of WiFi with a purchase, and you need to keep buying in order to get WiFi. This should be advertised before you make a purchase, so be warned. Also, it is very pricy. I paid over $5 for an 8oz chai. If you're rich and looking for a place to sit and talk this would be great, but if you need to do work on a reasonable budget go somewhere else. read more

You have to buy something in order to get internet access, and even after that, it only lasts for two hours! Then they make you buy something else to get another "voucher". It's 2017. This is ridiculous. Additionally, service left a lot to be desired and menu was sparse. With plenty of other coffee shops around, I will not be coming back here. read more

Just had the most disappointing and unpleasant experience here. Came in to work for the morning and after I paid $5 for coffee and tipped extra, logged on to find out the WiFi was down. Barista blamed it on Comcast work in the neighborhood and said everyone was down. I'm not an idiot, and could see that everyone else's WiFi in the neighborhood was still working. I pointed this out and got nothing but snark. My work requires me to be online, so I had to find another place to work. Before leaving I suggested they put up a sign so that customers don't make the same (expensive) mistake I did. Literally no response from the barista. No offer of refund or discount. Broadcast has great coffee in a lovely spot, but they charge wayyyy too much for customers to have to put up with this sort of BS. read more

i recently had the best almond milk latte from a coffeeshop in NY and have been on a quest to find a replica here in seattle. after several (costly) attempts, i might as well have just thrown my money out the window because nothing came even close. enter broadcast!!! this is the closest i've found and it was delicious! they use califia almond milk, which is the brand of almond milk also used at the shop in NY -- so maybe that's a big reason why it tasted fairly similar. the only thing that makes me sad is it costs $5.10 for a 12oz :((((((((((((( WHAT is this world we live in... if anyone is hiring, i need another job to fund my almond milk latte obsession.... read more

If only I could give zero stars. I'm sitting in this very cafe since I couldn't wait to go home to write this review. I came here with a friend to study. Couldn't decide what I wanted and decided to wait to order. My friend had a tea. 45 minutes later "excuse me, we've reached capacity and you're going to have to place an order or I'm going to ask you to leave." While I appreciate and completely comprehend the staff have every right to request my business, there are a hundred other ways they could've approached this. The atmosphere is nice. This place is amazing! The setting is very modern, clean, and has lots of window seats (for some reason I really like sitting by the window). This place has great seating space, perfect for studying or catching up with friends. I'm not a fan of fancy sugary drinks that some people still consider "coffee" so I got a 2% latte. It was perfect. Just the right amount of foam to balance the espresso, which wasn't too bold, but was strong enough to not leave that bitter taste in your mouth. The customer service was excellent, and I got my coffee quickly. Perfect location (although parking kind of sucks) but the atomsphere and the espresso is all worth it. read more

Broadcast also doubles as one of the dreamiest places to study and make yourself feel infinitely more professional than you actually are that I've stumbled upon yet. As someone with a serious dairy sensitivity I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of non-dairy milks that Broadcast carries. The staff is always friendly and welcoming while not being overbearing. I appreciate the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that they contribute to. This is hands down the best coffee place east of Greenlake. It's very sophisticated and fantastic modern interiors. Ample of space to sit and work and friendly baristas. Coffee was great but met here to study with friends and the internet was VERY slow. Lots of big tables and plugins which is helpful for studying. Just plan on not using the internet while you are there or be ready to create your own internet hotspot. read more

This may be my favorite all time coffee shop. Definitely the best coffee shop for studying and working - I wrote a large part of my PhD dissertation here! Drinks are great, atmosphere is chill, music conducive to working. I also love the occasional entertainment of customers bringing in their dogs! I rely primarily on their coffee and espresso options, which are fabulous. I also enjoy their loose leaf tea collection (when working, I love to order the large pot and get a hot water refill) and tea lattes. They have great snacks - Mighty O donuts, yummy muffins. They have a small selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches for long days of working. Baristas are always nice and friendly. I wish Broadcast could be my office every day! read more

After trying out Broadcast three times, I wish I could say I was a fan. The shop is cold in both ambiance and staffing (my first visit I stood at the counter, waiting for a few minutes, asking if anyone was there, and nobody came out), the seating spacious but made up of hard benches. The coffee is good, but not much different from others in the neighborhood. It is a good place to quietly work for a short stint, but it's not really a friendly neighborhood coffee spot. read more

I really really really like this place. There is a great aesthetic and it's close to the Udistrict. It's a large space with friendly baristas. There are TONS of places to sit and it's probably going to be my new study spot. Prices are on par with the average Seattle coffee scene (maybe even cheaper? not exactly sure, seems like though).
