I highly recommend coming to Satya Yoga & Pilates as for wellness in body and mind. Melissa the…read moreowner goes above and meeting for her clients. I have been coming here for 9 months now and for me it was a really tough choice as to where to go. I was looking for someone who could accommodate my neck injuries, as well as immune disorder as well as help me strengthen my body! I came to her business with 2 plates as well as screws in my neck and 2 bars in the back of my neck. Melissa was wonderful. she worked with me and was so patient during my struggles. There were times where I just couldn't make it because I was sick or I was just struggling with my injuries because they were that bad. Melissa understood this and explained that investing in yourself takes commitment, so she created a package for me that me and my body could handle. I was scared to try something like this because I spent a year recovering in my bed from these surgeries. I'm so glad I stuck it out and that I was able to find a compassionate instructor who invested in me as much as I invested in her. If you want an instructor that has your best interest at heart and is knowledgeable about how to handled injuries, Then choose Melissa and her place of business. I'm so glad I did.

I was scheduled for my first class and get a call…read morewhile in the parking lot, saying I cannot do that class because I need a beginners class. Long story short I couldn't get into a class for over 2 weeks. Melissa is always confrontational and immediately defensive when you have any kind of concern. I had already paid for a $800+ package so I sucked it up ‍. Fast forward after traveling for work, I cannot book my classes when I should've around 18 left. She states my classes have expired. I start to mention I thought they didn't expire, which is why I signed up... she cuts me off immediately defensively saying all packages expire and bla bla bla. Essentially robbing me $400. As someone with a busy schedule, I wouldn't have paid 800 dollars for something that can expire. I thought small businesses were supposed to be friendly, welcoming people. I didn't argue because it's not worth it, she calls me 10 mins later and says she would give me the remaining classes if I pay for 10 more I tried so hard to like this place because it's 5 mins from my house

Other than the fact that the slope is not that pronounced, any seat should be fine for viewing. Now for the important points.......We saw "The Fantasticks," the longest running Broadway show from 1960 to 2002. Jerry Orhbach actually played el Gallo, the narrator, in the original who opens the show with the beautiful ballad, "Time to Remember." Well, this production followed that proud tradition. Every actor was excellent and very talented.......the narrator, the boy, the girl, the two fathers, the mute........they were all superb. Bravo! A job well done. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Tip: on weekends when the Dime Bank is closed it is OK to park in the adjoining parking lot. We confirmed that with the theater.

Next time I think I would like to sit in that section. It's a little smaller, less seats and closer to the stage than where we sat. The play we saw was called, Half Time. It was a true story about older people who auditioned for the half time show for a basketball game. It was funny, entertaining and sad all at the same time. The actors did an amazing job. As far as the singing, some were better than others, but I think part of the problem was, some of the microphones were not as loud as others. It was still really awesome, and made the reality of getting older sobering and funny at the same time. I am not sure how long this show is running, but if it is still at this theater, you should go see it. I was able to only sneak two photos, since we weren't allowed to take pictures. I would go back to see other shows here. It's a great theater located in the great town of Port Jefferson!
