I really love coming here. The staff is friendly, they were very attentive even though the restaurant was fairly busy. The aesthetic is quaint, it's filled with cute pictures and wine bottles on the wall. I enjoyed the food, fairly seasoned and moderate portions.

Best Italian restaurant in the DMV!!! The service was so good and I felt part of the family! The food was delicious and so fresh! The restaurant was so beautiful and comfortable!

This Italian restaurant is definitely as good as they say it is. My wife and I came here last night for a date night, and it had been a solid months since either of us had the opportunity to go out. She ordered the beef ravioli platter that included a side Greek salad. I had chicken parmesan. It tasted like both of our platters had the exact same sauce, however the portion of her meal was slightly larger. I thought the ambiance was very romantic, and the service was on par with that. We were greeted the second that we walked through the door, and then introduced to our server moments later. The restaurant wasn't as full as O would have expected for a Saturday night, and I think the less people enabled better service. The dinner was prepared in a reasonable amount of time, and the taste was authentic Italian. It was so good, we would love to come back in the near future.

All the great reviews are true, this is a great cozy and authentic Italian restaurant choice for dinner. I tried their calamari fritti, chicken fettuccini alfredo, side house salad (+$1 with pasta), lobster ravioli, and ice cream flight for dessert. All food tastes phenomenal. Very fresh/made in house and high quality. Felt like this is what authentic Italian should taste like. I'll be coming again!

Really enjoyed trying this long-time local staple. The servers were attentive and kind, and the food was outstanding. The house-made salad dressing is a must-try, and $1 extra for a delicious side salad is a no-brainer. Everything we tried was delicious, especially the pistachio cake. There's not much to the ambiance, but this place has been around so long and has amazing food to prove it--anything else would be gilding the lily.

If I could give ten stars for the lobster ravioli I would. I could taste the lobster in the sauce, filling and pieces throughout the dish in general. The bread rolls were fresh and salad crisp. I definitely will return or order from them again.

We have gone to Fratteli's twice and the first was much better than the second but averaging out the both. Overall, for the price, service and food, it is actually a pretty solid place to have a quick dinner. Started with the bread rolls, which are amazing, 10/10 so warm and soft with some olive oil even better. We got the calamari for an appetizer and what I love is they actually give you a good amount of marinara which other restaurants give you the tiniest cup. This was also amazing. The second time I got a cesar salad and that was the worst out of everything on both visit, do not recommend. Finally for the entres we did a pasta carbonara which wasn't a traditional carbonara, I could tell immediately due to how heavy the sauce was they used cream. The flavor was good though. Then the lobster ravioli was underwhelming, it honestly was good but we have had outstanding ravioli at other places so getting it here was average. For the price though and if you just want a lobster ravioli I recommend it as most restaurants the lobster ravioli is never less than $40. Overall, for the price and service it's a solid restaurant, not our favorite but if we want a cheaper Italian meal that's not Olive Garden it is a great choice.

We took my husband here for his birthday dinner. You could smell the garlic as soon as you walked in the door, always a good sign at an Italian restaurant. Atmosphere - Dated. Clean. Well lit. Quaint. Customer Service - Attentive. Friendly. Quick. Accommodating. Food/Drinks - Fresh. Hot. Good, but not amazing. Traditional. Overall, I'd love to come back when they're doing their brunch buffet because that set up looked amazing. Save room for dessert!

My wife likes the Alfredo and the carbonara was good. A little to meaty which is a first. But the portions are good without being too much.

After playing pickleball with a friend, we came down to the waterfront (as I have not been here in ages) and my friend chose this place for us to have lunch. We showed up before noon and at around 11:30am, the place was mobbed with people on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. But, we were lucky to get a table outside. The weather could not have been nicer and my preferred dining is al fresco so I was happy. I am refraining from alcohol, so just had a Diet Coke for my drink. We ordered a giant meatball and a sausage pizza to share. The pizza was pretty good but its pretty small, in a square shape. The meatball was ginormous, however, the taste was so-so. Ive had better but this one was not bad. Great spot to grab lunch, lots of people watching for sure. I'd prefer to be out on the water to dine but this was super nice too. I'd come back again when in town and check out other items on their menu. The place gets 3 stars for food, and 4 for location.

You feel it walking in: past a pink-trimmed doorway strung with fabric roses, a small "please wait here to be seated" placard doing its quiet job, and a narrow hallway that opens into a dim, close-quartered dining room with tufted burgundy chairs and a TV keeping half an eye on tennis for the bar crowd. It's an intimate room, pleasant if a touch under-scored -- the ambient music sat low enough that a notch or two more volume would have filled the space better. We started at the bar menu. My Pisco-licious ($16) -- Barsol pisco, mint, blackberry puree, sherry, lemon, and egg white -- arrived under a dense, well-set foam cap with a charred, dehydrated citrus wheel balanced on top. It poured tart-forward, with the blackberry rounding out the back end, and the foam held its structure to the last sip. My friend's cocktail moved just as fast. Bread came warm and unfussy, gone before the entrées landed. For the main course, I went with the Scallops e Funghi ($28): four pan-seared scallops over a creamy saffron arborio risotto with mushrooms, finished under a heavy hand of grated parmesan. The risotto was the real star -- properly cooked, well-seasoned, rich without tipping heavy -- and the scallops, while a shade past their ideal sear, still made for a genuinely good plate. My friend's Spicy Sausage & Leeks ($24) -- fusilli in a creamy parmesan sauce with spicy Italian sausage and sautéed leeks -- brought real heat that never crossed into overwhelming, and the bowl didn't last long. Portions ran generous for the price point, and nothing at the table tasted like it was built to a budget. We both closed with the Spumoni ($10): strawberry, pistachio, and chocolate ice cream dipped whole in a chocolate shell and finished with a white and dark chocolate drizzle. The shell cracked clean on the first bite, kept the ice cream from turning to soup, and tasted enough like a house-made batch that I'd bet on it without confirming. Service is what pulled the night together -- our server was warm without being performative, checked in at the right intervals, and never let the table run empty on water or attention. Rosemarino D'Italia earned every bit of a five-star night: a kitchen showing more technique and ambition than its casual, happy-hour room lets on, a cocktail list worth ordering from twice, and a floor staff that made it effortless. It's not tasting-menu territory, and it doesn't need to be -- it's a neighborhood trattoria doing its job better than most in the category. I'll be back to work through the rest of the pasta list. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but have you looked at literally anything lately? So I'll allow it. They have this very creative Havana theme that somehow makes me feel like I should be drinking a mojito on vacation, even though I'm actually there with two kids negotiating over cheese pizza. Speaking of the pizza: it's what you should get. I recently ordered the chicken parm, which was good! But the pizza is where it's at. Especially the kids' cheese pizza, which is so good that I consider taking a slice from my children a completely reasonable parenting tax. And the Caesar salad? Weirdly excellent. I order it basically every time. The biggest issue is that Lena's is too family friendly. They are incredibly accommodating to kids, which makes it dangerously easy to keep coming back when I should probably be trying somewhere new. So yes, the service is a little slow, the prices are a little high, and I am apparently incapable of ordering anything besides pizza and Caesar salad. 5 stars. I'll be back.
