The gentleman I spoke with gave me two options: 1. complete resole, or 2. recork the back, and resole the back 1/3. I chose the latter, and was really grateful for the choice of a more affordable option. I'm used to waiting multiple weeks and months for shoe repair (just moved here from Maine). I was SHOCKED that he said "I could have these done by Tuesday or Wednesday"... it was Friday. 2. The recorking looks and feels incredible. sturdy, solid, and better-than-new feeling of heel cup support. I'm stoked. 3. both the first man I spoke with, and CJ the owner who I met upon pickup were kind, courteous, and people I truly WANT to support with my business. Solid guys. Solid service. Lastly... I just moved to Stockton with my wife a few months ago, and peope trash Stockton left and right. What's up with that? I *LOVE* it here. Just about every encounter we've had since we've moved here has been like this one: great neighbors, feeling of community, and great experience. Thanks guys! I'll be back. (but not in the schwarzenneger way).

My son is getting married and I'm not one for wearing suits. So needles to say, I went to Dillard's…read morehere in Stockton and spent about 500 on an off the rack suit. I liked the material it was made from, but the pants were nowhere near fitting me right. Alfredo who works there in the suit department referred me to Romeo. The shop is in the downtown area where people used to shop. When I walked in, the shop looked old and a little crowded with suits. These are the type of stores I remember going to with my grandfather when I was young. So it almost felt comfortable being in there. I do have to admit, as I was getting measured, felt some nerves. I didn't notice him writing anything down. The nerves got a little worse as he told me the pants would have to be fully cut to make them fit right. Kind of scary for me. If they were messed up somehow, I wouldn't be able to return it. So I'd be out 500 dollars. I returned a week later. Tried on the pants and, PERFECT! The only thing he didn't have ready was the bottom length. He took a quick measurement and did it while I waited. Ten minutes and out the door. Gonna take a couple of other shirts to him later this week. Super satisfied with his work. This is old Stockton right here.
