Darker skinned asians will get these questions too, I just saw a white guy run up to notify a random Filipino customer that the machine had a missing sock in it! I had a million shop tags that I needed washed and didn't want to ruin my home washing machine. As soon as I walked in, the person that runs it asked me if I needed help. She set me up with the cards that pay the machine and helped me get everything going. It now costs $17 for the large loads BUT that included drying. So Not that bad I guess. I had to buy a $3 card to use for laundry and it was cash only (there's another sign saying that if you do not want to buy a card to see an attendant). This place used to be great. Now the washers don't wash your clothes properly. Hardly even getting them wet you can't wash on hot because they won't fill up at all, or on warm or cold. Then after that you spend ages drying or waiting for a dryer because half of them don't heat up or are broken. There are better places to wash that I'll be going to from now on. Which is unfortunate because I always loved coming here. I will say if the clothes don't get washed they will give you a free wash to accommodate you but that doesn't make it better when you take into consideration that's another 20 minutes you spend there. read more

Let me start by saying I come here just because it's close by. But it seems like every other washer is fucked up. I had an issue with the washer I used today. Very little water came out. I told the employee here (the Filipino lady) and you know what she says... "out of all the open washers you use this one?" She proceeds to take a photo and said I'll send this to my boss since he doesn't believe it when I say the machine is broken. Smh. Wtf so you know your machines are fucked up but y'all leave it open for people to use. At least put an out of order sign. I used to go here when I have to launder my clothes. It worked out to be about $30 once a week; being homeless, this service is a luxury. Tonight I came by, not to wash, but to watch Mon night football, something I don't do much. It was cold too, so stepping inside felt extra good. Because I am a usual customer, I felt intitled, since this was the first time I wasn't a "paying customer". Everything was great, until it wasn't! One of the persons, who seems like a worker, approached me. There is a language barrier between us, but I didn't need a translator. It was obvious that he wasn't happy with me being there. I tried to explain to him that I always come there to do my washing, and basically I was validating my position. He insisted that I leave, I told him that I will not be coming back, to give them my business. So here I am standing in the cold, giving them a proper review. They own the other laundry mat that is 24 he's on Pacific Ave. I am a firm believer of consumer rights and power to affect Pure business by "word of mouth" which is considered one of, if not the most powerful influencer for a specific business. Don't just give them your business just because! I've been coming to College Laundry Mat for almost 7 years and never once have I had a problem with the employees, customers, or the owners, until today. The lady working today 7/25/2023 @ 7:30pm was the rudest most disrespectful employee I've come across in a long long time. I will be coming in to talk to the owners. (owners are the nicest most helpful and polite) This lady must be having a bad day. I get that but she was just straight rude. Other then this lady and her attitude, this place is the best. I've been coming here pretty much every week for over a year, and when I've had an issue, it's been resolved. Today, I came and spent $13.50 on one of their large washers. The washer wasn't working at all. I had left and came back and saw that the clothes never washed. I went to tell the worker -- a person I had never seen before -- that the washer had not even started the cycle. She effectively said because it looked like I just put them in, accusing me of lying by implication. My girlfriend tried to talk to the worker and ask what could be done. We both asked the worker if she could look at the camera footage to confirm that we did in fact pay for the load. The worker said she could, but she was too busy to and that it was our fault for not noticing the machine was faulty. She then proceeded to patronize us and treat us like idiots, to the extent that she was "demonstrating" how the washer was supposed to look. I've never had a major issue here, and I would come here, working to pay higher prices for the helpfulness of the staff and the reliability of the machines (or the staff's willingness to account for when the machine is malfunctioning). There was no one else there but the worker to discuss the issue either. And after this experience, I don't intend on ever coming here again. read more

The owners are wonderful but I can do my laundry in Lodi for about 40 or fifty bucks but when I do it in Stockton it's double that. The business run pretty smooth have had a few items stained from the washer having left over bleach which made me a bit uneasy but that's small compared to other place we've gone it's not bad. The staff is good never disappointed with the service they provided. I'd say treat them how you'd like to be treated though kindness goes a long way. Card ran machines but not debt of credit. She explained herself and I said okay about 2 dollars a dryer but I only brought 4 dollars with and I just told her I needed to go to my car and get the rest. One star for allowing smoking near the door and will not close door. People complaining it's hot inside which is understanding due to drying. The security does smoking as well and doesn't care either. No respect for us (non smokers). On positive side the workers are usually nice and friendly. That's only positive. If your in a bind, or need an unexpected emergency wash, this laundry mat in Stockton is the closest thing you'll get. Its clean and has vending machines. Bring Bills to use, NOT COINS! You put your money on a card here then insert the card to use in the machines here. $1's, $5's, $10's, or whatever. Just make sure you have Bills to use to put on a card for the machines. I can't explain the distain left in my mouth after the service that this place provided. I work two jobs and am a student, my apartment is a ghetto piece of crap and the laundry machines are broken so I have to leave to do laundry and I have no time to do laundry! I decided to utilize the damn drop off service offered here which can be kind of expensive but worth it for the convenience. And then I get a call informing me that my clothes were stolen while they were being washed. I went in with 27 pounds of clothes and had a remaining 17 left. Meaning 10 pounds of clothes were stolen. I was shocked and my stomach dropped at wondering how much damage had happened. The lady that service this called mom was completely unprofessional and not helpful. She refused to give us our money back and offer any solution for the missing class. I left a complaint requesting the owner called and heard absolutely nothing. I'm so disappointed because I was so invested in the solution and can't believe at how unprofessional they handled the situation. The place is always a mess, overcrowded, homeless people are usually nearby and sometimes the dryer works great and other times you waste half an hour using the dryer that isn't working. Not to mention the dryers are either on a 9 min interval or 14 min interval so you have to go back and forth pressing the start button. Also, for whatever reason regardless of how much soap or dryer sheets i use, my clothes never smell like what i'm using. It doesn't smell bad it smells like nothing... which is annoying when i'm spending money to get the stuff that smells good. Additionally, there aren't enough dryers in comparison to the amount of washers there are. A lot of the time after I wash my clothes it's a struggle to find a dryer or two to use. read more
