Her patience, knowledge, and reward-based system have been great for my 2 dogs. In the last 3 years, we've taken six of her classes. My adult rescue dogs had no prior training and the lab has sailed through the 5 classes we signed up for. The pure mutt, who is a nervous nellie, is a permanent beginner but has come a LONG way with Sandy, and the socialization has really boosted her confidence. Sandy has helped us purchase the proper dietary supplements and training tools we needed all along the way. Your trainer is available to her students even out of class and has answered my questions cheerfully and readily via text many times. Henry is always happy to go to the groomer, I book my appointments for the whole year in January (I book Jan the 1st week of Dec). One thing that I do think helped is on the advice when I purchased Henry was from the get go to take him in the bathroom every time I showered and used the hair dryer. The staff has even commented to me what a great boy he is when they are grooming him. He truly has been so much fun and I can say enough about the staff at Fuzz & Suddz they keep Henry always looking his best!

There is also an agility course at the back. It is not broken up into large & small dog areas so be aware of this when you go. Bags are provided. Water is provided. The park is not busy during the week days but can get very busy during the weekend, especially when the weather is nice. Watch out for the holes that the dogs dig!!

We were once DIYers when it came to dog bathing but after seeing photos of our friend's hound, we knew we wanted to give this dog spa a shot. We never felt comfortable using a big box groomer due to some of the horror stories we heard and like to develop relationships with people who care for our animals. The first time we used Fur Fabulous was when we took our 15 year old beagle/spaniel mixes Fluffy and Casper for baths and nail clipping. We made our appointment via Facebook messenger and were shocked at how prompt and professional they were in both response and flexibility of getting our dogs in soon. The boys have very different coats so their washes were tailored to their needs. Fluff loves to roll in everything and they managed to get the stank off him. They were so happy afterwards and topped off with matching plaid scarves. We then got this gorgeous Golden retriever rescue named Honey. Nikki worked to get us in on a weekend early on a Saturday. The dog spa is tucked away right off Elm Road conveniently located in Mechanicsville. I was pleased at how clean and serene it was when I dropped Honey off. It was a happy happenstance that Nikki also had her golden retriever Dexter there so I was able to talk shop about specific Golden needs. Nikki took her time with Honey as she hadn't been groomed in about a year. The hair on her haunches was so overgrown that when she urinated it would get wet and the hair between her paws tracked in everything. Our girl looked like a whole new dog when she was done! Nikki was great about communication - she took down my number and gave me a 15 minute heads up to when Honey would be done. Honey moved so much better after her day of pampering. We found Nikki's scheduling and pricing to be spot on - you get a sense from just talking to her how much she really loves and cares for dogs. She was worth the 20 minute drive and our old dogs can't wait for their next pampering session from her.
