Unfortunately, I didn't inherit the green thumb from my mother so although I dream of a backyard full of greenery I was happy to find Frank's Landscaping to help me bring my vision to life. I have a very long backyard and I decided to divide it by planting a hedged wall that while serving a purpose would be beautiful to look at and offer shade. The same day I reached out Frank arrived at my house to evaluate area. I was looking to purchase 16 "of something" as I had calculated that amount from the space we made for them. When we discussed his suggestions on what to plant, he was very detailed on the width, height, maintenance, roots, flowers(if any bloomed) from each he spoke of. After seeing his knowledge of each I knew we were in good hands but most of all his honesty. Even though I requested 16 to purchase he mentioned 10 would be enough for what I wanted to achieve. So he didn't upsell me on more plants I needed where he would profit from it. His wife was so sweet and was constantly in touch with me with any questions or concerns I had in between the time we scheduled. Within 2 weeks he was back again planting and finished in one day. We've been working with Frank throughout the last year and we cant speak highly enough about the work that they do. He's also completed some work on my mothers house because she loved what he did for us so much. 1. He took the plants that we already had growing in our lawn and didn't want to throw away and replanted them. 2. Before the lawn was full of weeds and crabgrass. He leveled the ground, put in irrigation and replaced everything with DG. 3. He came back and helped us with a few issues caused by the excessive rain as well. 4. Please do not ever use or trust this company. If I could give zero stars I would. The communication throughout the entire process of our "project" was unbearable to deal with. Constant no shows. Constant being told one thing and hearing something completely different a few days later. They never showed up on time or prepared. They pulled their truck onto our front yard to bring a bobcat into our backyard and completely ruined the entire front yard. We had no knowledge to this. We came home from work to see the disaster in the front yard. We never gave permission or authority for them to use our front yard they way they used it. I would have asked for the plywood but Frank took it upon himself to make his own decision because he told us the plywood was too expensive to buy. He told us he would replace the grass. We told them the entire yard would have to be redone and every time we would ask why weren't we informed this would happen or how are you going to fix this. They would completely ignore us. So they took it upon themselves to put black soil all over our front yard. They said "oh it will grow back". When I never accepted this as a final product. I told them I am not happy with the outcome and they've comepletely left is in the dark. The backyard is left unfinished, they took their money and left. They're supposed to be a "landscaping company" when we asked for recommendations on the plants and had an hour zoom call with them showing them examples of what we liked. They went to the plant nursery and sent us everything we didn't like. So they told us that we can take the plants out of our invoice and buy our own plants. After them only trying one time. I am beyond upset and devastated. We're not only stuck with an unfinished backyard but a completely ruined front yard too. We were doing all of this for our wedding in 5 months that is going to be at our home and now I'm completely embarrassed to what our home looks like. So please make sure you do your research with landscapers besides going with the first company you reach out with. I NEVER write yelp reviews but this was completely upsetting and devistating to deal with. read more

I was not going to post any review but I feel I should to prevent others from picking this company for their gardening needs. I picked Franks Landscaping because of the reviews on yelp, I hired them to do my back yard garden and front yard garden. I asked for a tropical garden which I really did not get, I kept sending them pictures of how I wanted my front and back garden to look, and my only mistake was paying them on time when they never gave me the garden I wanted. All they did was brought plants, dug holes and planted them, then they put mulch and that was it. This was something I could do but just don't have the time. There was no landscaping done in my garden at all. My other mistake was picking them to maintain it. Our deal was every other week they would come to do all the gardening maintenance. Well every other week they gave excuses of why they did not show up. They even broke my sprinklers and turned it off so it would not leak, but it ended up killing some of the plants that they planted. When I told them about the dying plants, and sprinkler issue, they told me that they do not check sprinklers that it was my responsibility. So I ask myself, why then do I have a gardener if I have to check? My old gardener would check and maintain all my sprinklers, but this one was not doing that at all. If your ever are thinking of getting a good landscaper or gardener, I would not recommend Franks Landscaping. They do not do a good landscaping job, and they definitely are not reliable. I truly think they do not even know how to fix sprinklers. Do yourself a favor and look to another gardener. read more

I've waited over a year to post this review on Franks Landscape. We hired him because of glowing reviews and he quoted us a price and told us what he would do. He laid sod in my back yard, installed a sprinkler system and made a garden around my lawn and was supposed to put Irrigation in. I paid him in full for what he was supposed to do and he never finished the irrigation. The irrigation wires were exposed to the elements, they were not capped off, there was no pressure gauge on it and I had to have it redone by a reputable landscaper. We thought we had grubs, I showed Frank a month in that we had dead spots already in the sod it was because we thought we had grubs but it was not, it was because the sprinklers were not properly done to where they touched all the grass so we have to have that redone by putting in 15 ft heads in the middle of the lawn, plus the timer was an inexpensive INDOOR timer which he mounted outdoors. It's already been degraded by the elements and failed leading to replacement with an outdoor timer. I was so broken-hearted to have to write this review but Frank walked away from this job unfinished and I will not ever recommend him to anyone. read more

I have put this review on hold because I wanted to let it go. My overall experience was terrible. I feel the job was rushed and poorly done. We had a sprinkler system installed and sod. I do not recommend them!!! We are still having issues with our system and have given Frank plenty of chances to fix our sprinkler system. First off Frank had to keep rescheduling, which should have raised a red flag. Then his workers pulled a no show. When they finally showed up, they were drinking beers in the driveway. Soinia stated a day for sod delivery and no one showed up. I had to call to find out what was going on. I have asked Frank to come out and fix the system, which he did...many times. But here we are only 6 months out of a new sprinkler system that still does not work. read more

They then cancelled at 9pm the night before our 8am appointment, saying that they are actually booked for the next 2 months. Would give 0 stars if I could. Waste of time and money using Franks Landscape. Hired them for a simple job to clean, kill weeds and lay down sod. First off, they charged $170 to kill the weeds, but never did that process. They just removed the old grass and layer down sod. Needless to say, the weeds came back and grew with the sod. The sod that was sold to us was bad. We now have brown dead spots all over our yard and being overrun by weeds again. They promised to kill the weeds with natural process and not use harmful chemicals, but they did nothing. Guess the natural process is to let the homeowners manually pick out the weeds themselves. Anyhow, my wife called them when we saw that the sod was dying and brown. They scheduled to come out to take a look, but never showed up. Guess after they take your money, it's not worth coming back out. Response: 'Professional advice'? Ha! Nothing is professional about this establishment. You guys buried our sprinklers and when my wife complained about them, your worker (who by the way didn't understand English) had to wait for Frank to arrive. Then my wife spoke to Frank and you guys had to take the sod off to find them. My sprinklers work fine and there's no issues with my sprinklers. You don't even remember your customers. Matter of fact, you sent me another bill after I paid in full. This place has nothing together but their lies and bad service. I get better landscaping service from the neighborhood gardeners than Franks Landscaping. read more

A week or two after the job was done our grass showed brown spots so I sent pictures and asked about them. Soinia responded immediately and Frank came out and fixed it. No hassles. He met me at home for an estimate, provided me a quote (Wednesday morning), gave me a date and time to start the job (two days later, Friday afternoon) and every detail he promised, he delivered. He pulled weeds, sprayed weed killer, trimmed all the edges, mowed my lawn, cleaned everything up to the T. Including all the trash. My entire back yard and lounge patio area looks amazing! Total make over! He also uses organic weed killer products, totally fury baby friendly, which was a big one for me because I have four dogs.
