We were unlucky enough to need 2 vehicles fixed at the same time! One of which was brand new, not even a payment made yet! We were lucky enough to find Franks Body Shop! They made the entire process a Breeze, they got both vehicles done in a very timely manner. One vehicle was insurance and that was seamless and easy, the other vehicle was cash pay and they were very reasonable with their pricing for the repairs! Both vehicles came out beautifully, looking like they never had an issue! Everyone we encountered at Franks had a great attitude and great communication and customer service! I we will be using franks for any and all of our future body shop needs! read more

This was my first experience with Frank's and I am seriously impressed by the service and honesty! An honest estimate, backed up by no surprises when I picked up the car. Excellent work, even correcting some poor quality work that was previously done by Caliber. Thanks - will be coming back. read more

This was our first experience with Frank's and I am stunned by the remarkable service and honesty! They gave me a quote for a repair and I accepted it and took my son's VW in. They called me to let me know that the found they could do it for LESS! Not more, but less $$. They could have easily just gone with the original plan but instead found they could do it another way. Saved me $200! Plus I got the car back much quicker! read more

I had what I called a "vanity project" done by Frank's Body Shop in Placerville on my car. They did a beautiful job. The bumper and spoiler were chipped from rocks on the road (I guess?) which from a distance wasn't really noticeable. However, I wanted them repainted. Not only did they repaint them to match my car beautifully (yes, repeating myself), but they repaired a small crack between the bumper and spoiler I hadn't even noticed until I took it back to have the work done. I took the car to several shops for quotes and Frank's was the only shop that didn't advise me to either dump the original bumper and/or the spoiler. They listened to what I wanted and I couldn't be happier. Plus, why get a new bumper, which means adding the old one to a landfill? Nope. I will definitely go back if I need or want other work done. read more

My wife, young children and I were involved in a hit and run leaving the front end mangled and the body shifted off of its mounts on the frame. After looking at multiple shops in the area we decided to go with Frank's because of their 5 star rating and how highly they are recommended in the community. Needless to say we were not disappointed. Misty answered my calls and any questions that I had, and the owner rich personally made sure that the vehicle met his strict quality control standards before everything was said and done. We expected the vehicle to be down for 2 weeks with the extent of the damage sustained from Accident, and they were handing us the keys back in 5 days. The body work was phenomenal and we have absolutely no complaints. Again, these guys lived up to their promises and did not compromise at all on the end result. Both Misty and Rich are honest, reliable, trustworthy, and will not leave you displeased when they return your vehicle to you! read more

Frank's Body Shop - My Explorer body work done by Franks body shop. - Body Shops Near Me - Placerville, California

Last winter in December we had a big snow storm in town. I tried to beat and drove down the hill from my house and ended up damaging the front right side of my Honda. Called my insurance, freaking out about the cost & insurance going up, I asked them for a recommended / preferred body repair shop in town. They told me I can pick one they don't have any preference. So I yelped (is that even a word...(: ) called around and stumbled upon Frank's, and immediately fell in love with Great customer service at this body shop. Had my car towed here. Jim kept me informed on progress every 2-3 days. I have no idea, and didn't care what was the whole cost since insurance was paying, but I'm sure it wasn't gonna be cheap if i had to pay out of pocket. Jim handled all the details, body work, estimates, insurance, car rental and got me back in my car in about 10 days. AWESOME WORK! I would highly recommend you guys to everyone in need of auto body work. read more

My 2002 truck had a running board snap a bolt. When franks tried to find replacement parts all places said they were not available. Even junk yards said no. Then the owner went the extra mile andfoindthe parts. They also fixed a door that was extra and they stood by their original quote. WHAT GREAT SERVICE!!!!! read more

Honestly....in my entire life, I've dealt with like (2) out of maybe 20 body shops, that I would rate their service and job quality "5-Star"...pretty much all the rest would fall in between "1-2 Star". I REALLY, REALLY wish that one of those "5-star" bodyshops were up here in my area near Placerville...because so far, 2 out of the 3 major body shops here ROYALLY suck. I REALLY REALLY tried to like this body shop and gave them (3) different jobs over the course of 2 years.....2 small ones and one major collision one. The first job was a simple "get rid of the wind noise" from the Driver's door. That "fix" cost me $800....and a slightly reduced wind noise with a Window that no longer lined up correctly when shut. I traded that vehicle in...so continually asking them to fix it, was no longer an issue. Second job was getting rid of Rust on a Work Vehicle and installing a Hitch. They didn't even bother to remove the rust...just sprayed right over it and claimed that their Miracle Paint bonded with Rust and made it as strong as original....which just resulted in painted rust just falling off later than sooner. But, I liked the Hitch install, so that was sort of draw on that $2k bill. Third job, my car involved in an accident, about a $7k estimate WITH a VERY highly rated and good insurance agency that I had. They were over a week late from promised delivery date...TONS of defects that they just half-assed, like the Taillights weren't even straight... There was still tape residue all over the car and places all over where the Wax wasn't even buffed off!!! MOST annoying was that I swear that they must've left all the windows open the ENTIRE time that they worked on this car, because there was like a 1/8 inch layer of dust EVERYWHERE in this car! They had done a totally halfass wipe-down job, but there was so much dust on the carpets in some areas, that you couldn't even see the texture of the carpet!!! There was even a coat of dust on the Folded Down 3rd Row Seat that was never even lifted up from the floor!!! So, why not "1-Star"...because they had some relatively nice staff, though inept at their jobs....and they gave me a free T-shirt that has been GREAT for cleaning off my motorcycle! Don't bother with Steve Stymeist (sp?) Auto Body either...those guys managed to paint OVER some tape and Clear Coat it as well....and their way of fixing it? They scraped through the paint to get the tape off....then used Touch-up paint to fill in the 2.5 inch section of missing paint. The ONLY major body shop I have yet to try in Placerville, is G & O....which their Tow guys have been pretty helpful and friendly so far....will have to see how their Body Shop is....just hopefully not that soon... read more

I am so impressed with the professional service I received when i brought in my broken 20 year old mazda truck that had front end damage. The service team went right to work to find parts that it needed, even having to go into sacramento to find a bumper! I can't say enough good things about the shop and the people who work there. Thanks to Lance for working hard to fix my truck!! I recommend this shop as the best one in placerville by far! read more

I have taken several cars to Franks and have always been impressed. Just recently my wife hit a deer and they were able to deal directly with the insurance company and rental car facility to make my experience seamless! I was very happy with the time frames that were given and the fact that they finished 2 days early. I will never use another body shop as long as I live in the area. I am also a local realtor and I tell all my clients if they have body shop needs FRANK'S is the place to go!! read more

The whole experience from beginning to end was five stars. Most recently they repaired some extensive damage to my truck including my transmission. Rich answered any and all questions anytime I had them and Missy was great to work with as well. Most importantly they did a outstanding job. Their craftsmanship is great. Being a custom home painter I feel I know good body work and paint jobs when I see them. In the past they have also done some minor work on my wife's car and have had us in and out in no time. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs a vehicle repaired. read more

Frank's did an excellent job repairing my Tacoma after I had been rear-ended. I was thoroughly impressed by the job they did and I like to say that it looks better than brand new! I dropped my truck off on Monday morning and they estimated that it would be finished on Thursday. On Tuesday I was evacuated from my home due to the Caldor fire. It was extremely challenging to evacuate and deal with my animals without my truck, I called them on Wednesday to get a status report and they were behind because some of their employees had to evacuate and some parts hadn't been delivered yet. I asked if I could just take my truck back for a while to do what I needed to do and they were very understanding and said it was fine, but it was unfinished. So I picked my truck up, it had no bumper, taillight or lettering, and kept it for a week to transport my animals out of town, etc. I brought it back when things had calmed down a bit and they finished it in less than a day! And it's gorgeous! Highly recommend! read more

I had a small dent on my BMW. I asked a gentleman at 'Frank's' if he could fix it. He gave me a card-referral to a Paintless dent removal company. The company (California Dent Removal) came out to our home and fixed the dent, and another dent on my husband's truck. Very reasonable and convenient. I really appreciate a repair shop that has the integrity to refer it's customer to another company. I saved money and the dents are gone. Very impressed. read more

I love this place. Our 2000 Mustang was damaged from hitting a deer. They fixed the front so nice, we decided to have them work on the back. Finished job was spectacular. Nice to have a beautiful car again! Our current issue was the old motorized canopy quit working on the Mustang, I thought the motor and hydraulics were shot. . They saved us a lot of money on this, as we were pretty clueless on how to fix the problem. It turned out to be a missing bracket that Frank's was able to fabricate. Some shops probably would have sold me everything including the kitchen sink. My advice is trust this company to do your work quickly. Quality, affordability, and trust! read more

My first experience with Frank's Body Shop was in 1984. I was 17, and had grown up in the area. I was recommended "Frank's" by a neighbor of mine. What a great experience! John, the owner, (his sons own it now) gave me an estimate, I authorized the work, and the car was dropped off. I was told the car would be done on Thursday; so imagine my surprise when I received a call on Wednesday stating the car was done early, and that the problem was not as involved as initially thought so the cost would be less than the estimate. I can't even tell you how refreshing it was to deal with such an HONEST business. Fast forward. Over the next three decades, I recommended Franks to dozens of people (family, friends, and work associates), with all of them having the same GREAT experience I had all those years ago. Frank's Body Shop is the most professional, honest, and knowledgeable body shop I have ever dealt with. Whether you deal with the owners, or any of the crew, you will be impressed. These people UNDERSTAND what GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. read more

Almost every car we have ever owned has been to this body shop, some more than once, thanks to bad drivers and foolish deer. Every time I get my car back, it is as good or better than when it was new. Picked up our Honda Odyssey the other day and it looked perfect. They always do the repairs for what they estimate. They are fast and communicate clearly about the job. I will keep going back! read more
