I was completely pleasantly amazed when I entered the venue, literally I was moved to tears she, and her team are absolute gems!!! These ladies were so personable and professional!!! They all were so supportive and they supported me and my husband beyond the scope of just being our decor specialist. This vendor was a prayer answered I would recommend this business without reservation with the highest recommendations I could and multiply that by 1 million. There was two couples that were guest at our wedding. One of the couples live in North Carolina the other in Florida and they are both interested in using this vendor for their wedding because of how breathtaking the work produced left everyone captivated. We hired LFA Catering LLC for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, and unfortunately, the…read moreexperience was extremely disappointing. Rehearsal Dinner The first signs of trouble appeared here. Despite our wedding planner reaching out hours before the event, Jason (the owner) never responded. He was responsible for providing tables and chairs for 40 guests but brought enough for less than a third. While the food was acceptable, it did not match the quality we experienced during our tasting. Wedding Day Our wedding had about 135 guests; per the contract, the catering team was supposed to arrive 3 hours early to assist with setup, food prep, and drinks. Instead, most staff and food arrived late and during the ceremony. Jason was not on-site and could not be reached until well after the event began. The bartenders arrived on time but with no direction and without mixers (also part of the contract), forcing our planner to purchase them out of pocket. Luckily we provided the alcohol so we at least had beer and wine. Because of their late arrival and lack of organization, we had to delay happy hour, dinner, and the reception. When food was finally served, many agreed-upon dishes were missing, including gluten-free options for guests with dietary restrictions. Portions were inconsistent, and they ultimately ran out of food, leaving 20+ guests--including our band and planner--without dinner. Jason did not arrive until after 8 PM (seven hours late) and offered no apology or solution to running out of food. After the Event The team was contracted to handle cleanup, breakdown and trash removal, but this was minimally worked on. Our planner stayed until midnight to clean what she could, after Jason and his staff had left. The next day, my wife, several guests and I spent the whole morning finishing what Jason hadn't done. Afterwards, while my wife and I are trying to enjoy our honeymoon and recover from the disaster he created with our wedding, he harassed my wife about getting all of the items he had left at the venue (we had to take them and store them in our trailer so we didn't get charged by the venue). He didn't have the decency to communicate during the wedding or make efforts to correct his mistakes, but he sure could call and text us non-stop when it was impacting his pocket book. You might wonder if there were warning signs. Honestly, there weren't--until the rehearsal dinner. Leading up to the wedding, Jason was responsive and helpful. He provided a wonderful tasting, he even met us a couple months in advance to walk venue and discuss our needs and coordinate with our wedding planner. He even worked with us to design a menu that accommodated multiple dietary restrictions. He seemed professional and committed. However, on the day of, he was overcommitted and underperformed. The food quality was nowhere near what we had at the tasting. It seemed either Jason didn't prepare the food himself (the head chef onsite was not Jason) or he cannot scale his recipes. Most dishes were bland, poorly cooked, or inedible. Jason may be a fine chef, but he is not a caterer. Something though that really defines who Jason and LFA Catering is, not once, to this day have we received an apology for everything that happened. In fact, during any conversation, with us or anyone else involved, he has only made excuses and tried to defend his actions saying he did the best he could. I'm sorry, but if that's the attitude you plan to have, I could not in good conscious recommend him to anyone for any catering needs. After reading another review where he no called and no showed, I feel lucky we at least received some food and services. I truly feel for those people. I hope whoever has spent the time to read this and their review, learn from our mistakes and stay as far away as possible from this company.

But he put all of our worries to rest. We planned a Mexican feast and that's exactly what we got! We couldn't travel with much for the banquet so we had LFA catering do it all. Food, wines, beers, very nice disposable plates and tableware. Him and his staff were wonderful and polite very professional! We are so glad that we chose Harvest Moon to cater our wedding. The staff were top notch, the food…read morewas UNREAL, and everything was perfect. We checked out a few caterers for our wedding because good food was at the top of our wedding wants list. My husband and I knew we want to combine southern food with chinese food so that we could have a little bit of both of our upbringings featured. We told Harvest Moon our vision, and wow, did they deliver. Our menu consisted of two different types of salad, duck and pork belly buns, shrimp lo mein, mapo tofu, a carving station with beef tenderloin and chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and mixed vegetables. We also had a couple guests with allergies/restrictions, and Harvest Moon was super accommodating (one of our friends who is a vegetarian couldn't stop raving about the mushroom ravioli). It was all so good. We received so many compliments from our guests. The staff were also so amazing. Everyone was so professional, helpful, well trained, and friendly. It was awesome. The staff even packed up some food and dessert for us and cleaned up everything after the event. I would 100% choose Harvest Moon for catering any event.

Melissa's work is clean, fun, and classic. Every photo that she took turned out amazing, and I know that my wedding photo book is going to be one of my most treasured possessions. Because of that we do not do packages that include skiing etc. We have photos of each of our properties on our web site so potential renters can see what the unit looks like. I'm also careful to say that none of the condos at Wintergreen are literally "ski in, ski out." Please understand that Resort Reservations is not responsible for the problems Susan L. encountered. I have usually always gone to PA for local skiing but wanted to try something new and after researching VA and NC skiing I chose Wintergreen because it seemed perfect. My reservationist was very nice. She answered all my questions and told me what would be the best deal for us...a 2 bedroom condo, slope-side with access, and 4 2-day lift tickets. I inquired in depth about the conditions and decor of the accommodations. Maybe ridiculous but I insist on feeling good about where I am sleeping, showering, and eating when spending good money. She assured me that although they were individually owned, the resort had standards that must be met and they were nice. The pictures of the condo on the website showed granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, nice decor, and updated bathrooms. I felt good after our conversation. Our check-in was great. Easy, friendly, helpful. After driving to the furthest condo from the lodge, walking down many flights of stairs with our things, my son and I walked into a very tacky condo from the 1980's. 1st letdown. It was very clean but I couldn't help feeling very mislead and I find that bad business. I was gotten there under false pretenses. Seriously, if I would have known that appliances were 25 years old; the fully loaded kitchen was not and what it did have was bottom of the line EVERYTHING!!!; that the furniture (except the couches) were dated, the tv's small, very old, and fuzzy even with cable; the archaic jacuzzi was mauve with very deep green tile around it (I cannot even name a time when the fixtures might have been in style.); and that the bed was lumpy and the comforter smelled, I would have NEVER booked this stay. After looking around the accommodations, I opened the curtains to look at the slopeside w/ access view. 2nd letdown. The slopes had white man made snow (which I was fully aware of because we've had NO snow), however, a large area around the condo building was grass. I realized that this might be my fault. She told me that I could access the slopes right from our condo because we were "literally right next to the slopes" and could "ski in and out of the condo's" but I didn't consider what would happen if it never snowed. So, what now? I read the info provided and called to schedule my sons private lesson and make dinner reservations for the next night but had to leave messages for both. My son and I unpacked and left to explore. Not thrilled that we really weren't in walking distance of the lodge even though I was told it was 'right there'. I went to the desk to inquire about access to the slopes since we obviously could not "ski in/out" from the condo. One of the desk staff, after telling me its slope view NOT access, got a supervisor who told me they don't tell people it's ski in/out. Huge 3rd letdown. I find almost nothing more unacceptable than someone telling me I'm lying. After I explained that I was absolutely told that, she quit looking at me and very rudely said she'd remove a fee. I said that wasn't the point but she was no longer acknowledging me. (May I assure that I never raised my voice or used inappropriate language but I was not happy when I was told I didn't hear what I heard.) We went to rent our equipment from an unbelievably smelly rental room. Lugged it back to the car and then into the condo. Tried all night to get a good nights sleep but the bed was so uncomfortable. At 8am I started calling the ski school to get a 9am lesson but left another message. I could not find hours of operations anywhere and the message didn't provide. (I had previously been told that Monday's were slow days for them.) I had left my condo room # on the message but I missed a call on my cell 9:05. I called right back and after holding for 25 minutes, I hung up and called the front desk exasperated! They said someone would call me back. 5 minutes later, about 9:40 I got a return call and was matter-of-factly told the wasn't a lesson until 1pm. I was beside myself. She proceeded to tell me that yes, they usually were quiet on Monday's but not today. I was very unhappy. A few minutes later she said she could do a snowboard lesson at 11am. I was much happier. Peyton was great! My son liked him a lot and I ended up paying for 3 separate lessons (75 minutes each) which at this moment I realize I paid $279 for when the offer a 3 hour lesson for $199. Just one thing after another!!! I could keep going with negative and positive but unfortunately the negative are just way to many. The customer service in way to many situations was unacceptable.
