And the food has never been disappointing, but the portion size are huge and for a person with a poor appetite I always struggle to finish. Have loved all the dishes I have eaten so far at C2C. It has been almost 6 months since our last visit to C2C and I realised the menu has changed and it is quite appealing. We ordered the BBQ platter, and after being served we realised it was meant to be a sharing platter for 4 and not for 2...it was BIG. The platter comprised of chicken tender (my all time fav, missed the blue cheese dip they used to serve with it), succulent hand cut ribs (my sister loved them), American loaded bacon & cheese and cheese & chives skins, BBQ chicken wings (it was really good) and finally tortilla chips topped with salsa and homemade chilli cheese sauce. We struggled finishing half of the platter but the Millionaires waffle looked so good that we choose to order one and share it. It was like cherry on top of the icing. Warm fresh waffles with salted caramel & chocolate sauce and ice-cream topped with honeycomb balls. I have always ordered chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce and honeycomb ice-cream (one of the staff member insisted I tried the honeycomb ice-cream, glad she did) and it is my favourite dessert at C2C. They have a separate menu with GF options, which is comforting. We have lived in California for the most of our lives and have always trusted Mexican food for gluten free options as they usually can swap corn for flour, which is why we decided to try it. The decor was warm and inviting, the table next to us had a table of all girls having a birthday party and before we left the table had turned into a table of boys for a birthday. It seems to be a great place for families and kids and celebrations, especially being near a movie theater and indoor mini golf. Our hostess was nice and attentive. We enjoyed our meal on bank holiday Monday lunch time and sat and chatted for quite a while. The maitre d' came over and we expected to be asked to pay the bill as we had been there a bit too long. But instead she came and apologised that they had booked our table for a large party and asked if it would be okay if we could move over to a booth instead. She offered us a free drink each but we were absolutely fine and simply asked for the bill and moved while they brought it to us. As we were still having a good chat, they left us to it and made us feel comfortable and not as if they wanted us to leave. We finally paid and on our way out the maitre d' stopped us to hand us each a pack of Bill's buttons to apologise again. It was a small gesture but was so lovely and really made us want to come back.
